Absolute pleasure to go through the agony of that overtuned siege only to be unable to finish it at all since the torch racks after the boss trio are all unlit and you can't burn off the rope.

After finishing the last boss arena none of the torches actually lit up.
Might it be possible that killing the boss just triggers a small cutscene which at the very least moves the players to a space where they are in front of the balloon, holding lit torches so that they can finish the mission, instead of needing to grab a torch then light it and run back?

No there wasn’t, because it bugged. Both were turned off.
Know how I know it is bug related? Because the final boss was obviously bugged, only a single conductor spawned instead of the 3 together.
