#RNG suggestion

I would love to see the item "Qualities and Quirks" attainable in p15 be unlockable at Tuvalkane, meaning I give her an item and then she unlocks that quality for that item. Then reforging could allow us to choose from all of our unlocked qualities. I think this would make the RNG feel a lot less intimidating and stressful, more like collecting potential bonuses rather than endlessly grinding for that one item with the ideal combination.

I like collecting so this sounds like an rng system I would enjoy.

Our current system is easy, yet look at all the post about Gath drops. like another said RNG isn't always friendly. Also new players with limited slots wouldn't burdened by

"maybe i'll get a better weapon" "I wish i didn't get rid of that weapon" "this game sucks i never get good ones like bob"
"oh great they brought riven drama from WF to SF, guess its the same game new skin"

instead this would encourage me to farm more weapons

Endless RNG grind is a massive fun drain for anyone who can't devote endless hours to playing. I don't want to just farm the same item over and over hoping for a 1 in a million dice roll. If we're not going to be able to farm for the definitive version of equipment then at least being able to build one from the cumulative trash would be a decent consolation prize.

+1 your ideas never disappoint Sara I love this

+1 This is actually very similar to an idea I proposed recently. It reminds me of a system in Diablo IV, where you can extract and store certain modifiers from items (like Aspects and Tempering). They could also add the option to either claim the item as-is or salvage it immediately upon pickup, without needing to go to Nightfold, with salvaged items contributing experience toward increasing the level of available crafting upgrades.

+1 with a caveat.

I don't think this should be the priority or the first system you learn to do this (i.e. locked behind Tulvulkane level 2 or 3). Additionally it cannot be something where you just collect materials to turn in as both of these would deter new players from the exploration and discovery and more "Which Dungeon is best to farm for these materials."

IMO this should require materials and multiple "base" versionas of the weapon. Say you want a "Noble Wulder" you would have to turn in 2x Standard Wulder's and some materials for Tulvulkane to "upgrade" to the next Quality. The materials used should also have sway on the Qualities and Quirks that new weapon rolls with (i.e. plug and play).

The biggest thing is we can't go all in on one system as it harms the players play experience that enjoy another. This should be just as viable or go hand-in-hand with grinding.

As far as I understand there are two qualities that drop and one that is crafted. What do you mean here? Due to the way the suggestion is outlined one could think that you need X inventory slots to fuse the weapon into higher quality one.

# silent tartan > IMO this should require materials and multiple "base" versionas of the weapon....

Correct, but they are also looking into the "Booty Trunk" storage system and how that works while NOT taking up additional inventory slots. Even DE said they aren't quick sure on it yet and that needs to be finalized.

The premise of the idea I proposed is exactly as it sounds: you can always just grind out drops until you get what you want, OR you can fuse two (or more) lower drops into a higher rarity (think 2x Standard created 1x Noble).
This would be done from equipment in that Booty Trunk taking up no additional inventory slots.

This also works with the idea they proposed for Ancients only being craftable.
Lets say to create a new Ancients Long Blade called "The Ancient Blade" you could either find the exact fragments for the weapon to craft with Tulvulkane OR you could fuse together 1x Noble Dwelion and 1x Noble Marrow's Bane along with materials. Those wepaons could be ones you already have or that are in the Booty Trunk.

That ALSO keeps the purchasing weapons from the store viable (for those in other posts oddly worried about the arcs economy) where if you really want, you can "shortcut" the grind and purchase the weapons to craft into an Ancients weapon right away.

Much better explanation, thank you. While fusion of different blades seems a tad strange everything else is rather straight and to the point. I'd obviously prefer just getting one blade and dumping resources into it but then I've got more than I know what to do with.

That type of system was discussed in another post so I didn't wanna flood that extra bits here, but I completely agree.

Crimson Desert has where you can upgrade any weapon and keep it your entire playthrough. One of my personal favorites, Avowed, did this as well and it makes for a great play experience.

RNG is fine if it can be mitigated in some way. It's why pity shops are always so welcome for grinding things

All sub-passives of weapons, pact passives, and virtue types of weapons will be removed. Instead, there will be a system with three distinct paths that can be unlocked and enhanced using a limited point-based system. This will allow us to freely create builds without any confusion. The system reduces unnecessary complexity while remaining highly effective in the long term, and it can be expanded with additional clusters through future updates. It will be similar to the build system in Warframe, but designed specifically for the Soulframe universe.

#

What do you think of the idea I mentioned? @nocturne canopy

#

What I’m referring to here are not just passive traits; they will include both passive and active elements, allowing us to choose any path we want and allocate points as we see fit. The system will rely solely on virtue types, and it may even be possible to change the virtue type while transitioning between these paths.

The absolute worst possible option would be if the RNG system required extensive re-rolling to get desired bonuses, like Rivens in WF.

The best option, IMHO, would be like Sara described, sacrificing a weapon to Tuvalkane to unlock individual bonuses, then allowing the choice of known bonuses when reforging.

If it’s that easy, this system won’t help the player improve

#

Five hours after the update is released, it causes the new content in the game to run out

#

The content is already released once every three months—should we finish it in one month and then take two months off?

#

Like trying to finish a year’s worth of content in just one month, as with Warframe

#

It shouldn’t be this easy; it’s not good to keep changing everything based on what’s new. What are the regular players supposed to do? You’ll lose players once the content runs out.

#

You say everything is too hard—the content runs out so quickly. Let’s let some things be a bit challenging; let’s give them some time and enjoy them.

#

It should have an introduction, a body, and a conclusion; it might be easy for new players, but the end-game content should be challenging.

#

(I would be surprised if DE would somehow manage to stay away from 3 months cooking 3 weeks playing schedule)
What sort of challenge do you mean? Is that RNG or something else?

#

If RNG is a challenge without any pity system... err, no thanks. If it's something else... depends.

This post should be separate thread called DE, please undo the work you've done up to this point to make it "easier" and allow us to go back to min/maxing.

The whole point of the prisms was to make it "easier" this suggestion is a reversal of that.

Also this seems far off topic from

Sara

Her topic being, you plan to implement fully built weapons, here is a system for that, that she would like to see.

the suggestions being made at the bottom part of this thread are more suggesting complete rework vs idea to implement.
