#Distribute weapons of the same grip type across virtues

If you want us to have freedom over buildcrafting i suggest having different attuenment for weapons of the same grip type depending on rarity similar to how certain weapons don't have virtue requirement.

Make it so there's a significant stat disparity between weapons of the same grip type to keep virtue requirements relevant.

So for example:

  • Avex bow will need a build leaning heavily into Grace.
  • while Maestro will be Spirit but because the main virtue of the bow type is Grace it will have reduced stats compared to Avex.

This will give players more freedom over their builds.

+1, if needed, keep the scaling virture for a combat art the same, as in all short blades have some scaling with grace, but at minimum have required virtues be spread around

If all weapons from a grip type always scale with X virtue, they're quite literally just stat sticks/reskins, I assume with weapon transmog becoming a thing this will just get band aided...

-1, make them as unique as possible, have different main virtue types for weapons based on their "intended playstyle" or "archetype"

If it is, I didn't take that from the OP(?)
while Maestro will be mainly Spirit but because the main virtue of the bow type is Grace it will have reduced stats compared to Avex.
In my interpretation this concedes that Maestro will always have Grace while in my view, it should just be a full Spirit bow.

I'm of the opinion that there should be something for every 'virtue setup' within each grip type, if this is the system DE want to keep... a pure Courage player or a pure Spirit player should be able to use a bow if that's their vibe, without having arbitrarily reduced damage for it
