First off, I don’t want the game to be pay-to-win and if the weapons became best-in-class right now, it’d be just that. That being said, at least by full release when they are gonna be unlockable for everyone, I think the weapons and armors need a tune-up by then.

I understand they can be viewed as starter gear since someone buying founders right now just gets a full array of gear to use right away but I feel like something like the Wyld longsword should probably scale better than the common Sollos. Same with the armor being heavily outclassed by like 2 thirds of available options. Again, I don’t think they should be the strongest gear for the time being to not push the idea that only by paying can you get the best gear, but if this gear is ever gonna be worth farming for outside of their cosmetic values, they’ll need to be stronger by full release

No I get what you mean, they do feel really weak compared to most armor sets. I have them and have never used them lol. I think they deserve a bit of a tune up. Oscelda armor could use some stability scaling and Sirin and Tethren could use some magic defense scaling. I think it should be a 2 virtue scaling across the board as well. I think that would make them feel better without being "the best" options

I can understand why they're weak now since they're simply a status symbol at the moment, but later on when they become farmable they definitely need to atleast be on par with 3 star gear.

Maybe it depends on what weapons you're looking at? I have an old spreadsheet of the types of weapons grouped together and most of the time, it appears that the weapons that come with the wylder founder pacts are on par with the best weapon in that category (pre p13's virtue rework).

The Starling's smite % is the same as Juniper, even coming out with 4 attack more and 10 more charge damage and arrow hail doing 2 damage more per arrow; 4 extra stagger as well.

The same spreadsheet says The Ivor, compared to Sollos-I has same smite %, 8 more regular attack, 14 more heavy attack, 21 more thrown and the same stagger rate.

Armor could definitely be better, but it's a huge step up if you start the game and buy a founder pack (like I did). It lasts a good chunk of time until I could actually start to farm agari bosses.
