It would be awesome if the rune's cooldown, was put on pause while holstered.

I think several things would have to change before that becomes a valid option (specifically Garren Rood's passive and the Flitsmoke rune) or else people are just going to run around with 100% combat uptime on runes

Rood's passive could be swapped to ability cooldowns, as right now, those are in a bad state.
