one of my biggest pet peeves about this game is how smite works. Smite chance is a lie because an enemy defense will give them resistance to smite chance. Oh you have a 12% chance to smite? 1 in 8? good luck smiting this boss even once after 100 hits. It's kinda annoying and a bit bs when you consider that smite is this games version of crit and typically bosses and harder/higher level enemies don't reduce your crit chance against them in other games. Let 1 in 20 mean 1 in 20.
#Remove enemies smite chance resistence

Once you get your totems leveled and you combat arts leveled you smite all enemies all the time. The devs being able to add extra defenses to special enemies is a good thing for ultimate balance.
maybe but at the same time, you can only smite an enemy Once, and smites dont do a very large chunk to boss hp bars. so with the smite chance resistance, you will likely go the whole fight without smiting the boss and that doesnt feel good cause smites are important for a lot of things, but occasionally youll be lucky and get a smite on a boss, and, well it doesnt do much, but feels nice. i think its better to just make it consistent and remove the resistance so you get a smite every fight (almost anyway, never guaranteed). so +1 to OP
Right now the meta is use a fast weapon with high smite chance get a smite for the runes which are pretty strong and ggs fight over, this applies even in Cogah. There isn't a single fight in the game that I don't proc smite.
if you use certain loadouts yeah,i just use oscelda and stave with feybalt and kill most bosses pretty fast without proccing a smite like i said its possible but inconsistent, i think itb be better for them to not have a smite resistance so its more consistent
You just said you kill bosses fast without proccing smite, add the removal and you will one shot them with a build not even focus on smite chance.
Remember this a slower more balanced game not warframe 2.0 in which the purpose isn't to fly through the map 1 shoting everything
That would make sense, except there’s the fact that the thing that makes many weapons worth using is tied to smiting: Runes. If you can’t activate your Rune on an enemy, half or more of your damage straight up doesn’t exist. Especially in Cogah mode.
