I made this video when I did my grind earlier today. I have seen a lot of complaints about Faction XP gain rate being slow. But what is considered slow as no Time frames are set on how quickly it should take to hit X amount of Rep or as of now the Rep Cap which is currently 16k.

The video shows me logging in for the first time after Rep Cap reset and doing Rep grinding in the NE area. I am by no means clearing these Tales super fast nor am I rushing from point A to point B. I gather most totems I come across pick up some plants and even type in chat a few times. It took me 2hrs 6min to hit Rep cap.

Is 2 - 3 hrs to much of a grind? If so what seems more reasonable?
Regardless of Rep gain, if the Rep Cap stays at 16k you will never be able to hit Rank 5 Faction faster than 5 days.

This is the breakdown of the stats in the video:
Starting Rep - 81,100 (Rank 5 is 80,000 and I have 1,1000 to spend)

I also believe the current XP rate is fine. The argument I've seen against it was basically comparing the Warframe experience to it, where you reach the cap in 30 mins.

Now 30mins vs 2-3h is a big difference for sure.

I'm also fine with the faction grind, it felt faster then pre faction XP rework

Thanks. I try to change my fashion up depending on the Virtue I'm attuned to and the weapons I'm using. Red, "Gold", and Black always seems very complementary as well.

I ran out of characters in my original post but I also meant to point out that if you combine the Average Faction Tale completion and Travel time it's roughly 5 minutes (5m04s)

XP rate could be like 20% more or so. But real problem are dungeons and long travel time (which should be fixed with mounts). Dungeon tales must be like 4*, not 3*

Long Travel Time? Elaborate? I do agree about Dungeon Tales though. I specifically point out the T3 ones that took me into a Dungeon and they are easily 2.5 times longer to complete than my longest non-T3 Dungeon.

Let me rephase this. What do you think would be an appropriate amount of travel time from the ending of 1 Tale to the beginning of another Tale @obtuse saddle ?

Ah, yes I didn't get your question at first. Less than 1 minute perfectly, in Warframe it takes from few seconds to minute to start again, and there you need to finish less bounties for daily standings.

There is also certainly a chance that when mounts are added the ~2min average run time between Tales will be cut in half

I think part of it may be monotony? Maybe I'm really slow? Something about it feels 'slow' enough that I'm working on all the other game content first... I'll have to try again soon.

the other limits are more of an issue maybe. 16k cap daily feels weird, you need 2 days to get enough standing for the rank 5 pacs and then 1 more day to craft them. and the 1 week cooldown on faction switch is also not ok imo. i had to wait a day after hitting rank 5 on my 2nd faction to switch to my 3rd. and i didn't want to get standing that day since i didn't need anything else from that faction

I enjoy the tales that end in dungeons, but I wish they gave more xp than the 3 star tales without them to make up for the increased time to complete.

i really enjoy the look and feel of dungeons but they need to add a lot more to them. right now they're just enemy camps

+1 I agree it's not that bad. The problem is mostly the lack of content right now. Having the possibility to do many different activities (quests, dynamic event, dungeons, sieges, etc.) will alleviate this.
