The boss timer mechanism is uncannily annoying and reeks of gacha games' styles. The bosses themselves have heavy rng based drops and add timer to that and you are just creating artificial time gate. Since there's no "pity" mechanism, that means one can spend days if not months trying to farm something and not get it.

I understand that removing rng is not a viable option, but instead of boss timers, they can introduce a unique currency for summoning bosses. The currency can be farmed from other activities and one can stockpile it to farm bosses later on.

Boss timer summons are free, but outside timer once can spend the currency to summon and farm the boss of their choices. Also, they can add high summoning cost for new bosses.

so instead of waiting 3 hours for boss spawns, spend 3 hours actively gathering 100 synods maidens by running back and forth between the wasteland... lmao

I never really said making it super rare, but I don't see how not playing the game is a more effective solution than playing it actively in order to able to defeat bosses. Unless we want to make the whole game just log in, kill boss, log out. New bosses can have higher currency cost, which can later be reduced gradually. Of course this system can also be implemented along with the timer. So timer boss gets no currency cost, but repeated summoning will incur charges.

Not fan at all of this, sadly 😞

At least with timers I know when to log in and farm. And I don't want to farm just to be able to farm.

involving more work than now. 3 hour timers are ok, because they give you time to go do other things, completely unrelated to boss running. but you suggest a timer + currency, so now while waiting out the timer, you'd be using that downtime to get currency, instead of being able to do something completely different.

I agree that players should have a way to Summon any boss at all times. In addition to how they currently work. Edit: probably should only work at specific locations. Such as where the boss is normally

Since it allows a player to stumble upon them and discover them. As additional clarity. Not that it was suggested.

So that when the time comes for a player to farm then they can continue to do so without waiting hours. A 3h delay would eventually turn me away from farming. Much like how doing daily quests for a bp does for me. As such i would love to have a way to bypass delays.

I was thinking a potential use of the historian. Where you gather materials from enemies, chest or natural growth stuff. That you give him to create a scroll that summons the boss. So something that comes naturally when you just play the game.
