With Factions being expanded in P12 there are some additional changes I'd love to see:
Ambient Faction gain:
- All 3 Factions have specific goals and methods, activities in the world should reflect these.
Certain objectives I feel should give standing to relevant Factions regardless of current "active" Faction- Sabotaging Ode machinery should give Silent Rose standing regardless of current affiliation
- Freeing animals should give Alca's Children standing regardless of current affiliation
- Killing Ode patrols should give Kith of Kings standing regardless of current affiliation
- Similarly, certain bosses are opposed/tied to certain Factions, killing these should award appropriate standing
- Vadagar Stag kills should give a chunk of Silent Rose standing
- Kabocha kills should give a chunk of Alca's Children standing
- Mendicant King kills should give a chunk of Kith of Kings standing
- Your active Faction would still determine Faction Tale rewards and standing gains, but these changes would provide some passive standing gain for other Factions as well.
Open stores:
- Once joined, Faction stores should remain open regardless of current active Faction
Free teleports:
- Once the "improved" Talisman is crafted (Molten Mora, etc...) these should provide free teleports to the Faction Enclave
- "Wasting" a seed just to go cash in standing does not feel great, and the upgraded Talisman coming with an extra QoL feature would make it a more permanent upgrade.
- It would still cost a Wevetroot seed to head to any World Trees, so the only area an Envoy could consistently return to is the starting zone.
Faction cap expansion/visibility
- The daily standing cap is currently not displayed anywhere in-game, making this easily visible when interacting with a Faction NPC would be greatly appreciated.
- With standing limits increasing, the daily cap should also be boosted
