What does the number in the top right mean? I assumed its the number of those critters I have in the inventory but its not.

In your first image:
Top Left - Weapon type that it can be attached to.
Top Right - The number of the animal - So the duck is number 4. So think of it like it's a collectable card and this is card 4 of 6.
So usually:
- Rat
- Beaver
- Deer
- Duck
- Bunny
- Squirrel
Second Image:
You have 3 of the duck totems specifically for the sword category. Maybe even the greatsword category as they don't have a unique icon yet.

Those are longswords ones, it's subtle but there is a diff in the long and great sword icons!
Great has a sharper tip, and flatter hilt.
Long has a softer rounded tip, and a chunky hilt.
They maybe could do with something a little more noticeable though. Maybe greatsword faces downwards, hilt at top.

man I don't think I'd notice the difference between those, changing the angle of one (even 180) would help a lot.
