#Arachnophobia Accessibility Mode?

+1.
Do you have any examples where a game has done it well? For inspiration.
Hogwarts Legacy made them look funny... which helped a little bit.... Seriously ANY kind of a mode would help honestly.
would squids be fine or is it the legs?
Enshrouded, Satisfactory, Grounded, and Lethal Company all have really good anti-spider settings.
I don't wanna be killin' adorable Cats though ... in a game about 'saving nature' lol 🙂
I think it's how quickly they move/arms flailing in the air as they jump at you... Even though they have 4 legs... The monsters in Monster Hunter Wilds don't trigger me until one of the boss arachnids are low health and then they're all JITTERY/Limping .... and then it triggers it for me because they're erratic and creepier (at least to me)
If they could turn them into 'friendly looking crabs' who just 'take a nap' after you knock them out instead of 'dying' to try to preserve the 'saving nature' thing.... just anything really...
Potentially I won't be able to explore certain chunks of the map (I've only done the North West Chunk) ... the Slugs are creepy but that's it ... the weird 'Undead/Spirit' things are also quite creepy ... but it's the jumpscare and that's it ... the Arachnids it's an immediate trigger that doesn't stop... I may just need to explore in a group XD.
I'm Thallasophobic so .... That's a entirely Different issue ... I do hope that if we go into the water that it'll be like ... Robotic Bosses to kill to free the 'sea life' ... but I'm dealin' with what we have so far 😅
I don't exactly have a fear of water. I have a fear of the deep sea. If i can't see the monsters that lurk below then the undersides of my feet start to itch and it feels like the itching climbs up my leg. Lucky for me it rarely happens in games unless i know there is a monster in the water. Like there is a sound coming from down under.
