The P12 update brought MTX and Founder content to the forefront, but it feels like it came at the cost of core functionality. A lot of systems that previously worked are now broken or inconsistent. Several weapons and pacts don’t function properly, which is especially frustrating when combat is a central part of the experience. Multiplayer also remains in a rough state. Connection issues, desync, and general instability continue to make co-op play unreliable, even though this update was clearly designed with cooperative content in mind.

Points of interest are also suffering from basic problems: ladders that can’t be climbed, weapon racks that appear empty, and other interactables that simply don’t work. On top of that, faction systems and their quests are buggy, and XP gain feels significantly worse. Despite the devs claiming that the grind has been reduced, the progression currently feels slower and less rewarding.

The list goes on...

Overall, this patch comes across as rushed, primarily to push out the Founder packs, rather than as a stable, polished update. The community discussion seems more focused on the cosmetic Founder flower and the Preludes Honor than on the state of the actual gameplay, which says a lot. Instead of actually playing the game, people focus on things which are not in the core loop. At the moment, the game just isn’t very fun to play, and it would be great to see more thorough QA and internal testing before updates of this scale go live.

Inb4 people jump me for it being a pre-alpha, they are collecting a VAST amount of money now, so I expect the quality of updates much more polished. That is not an excuse anymore. On every part of the update you get the monetization splashed into your face.

I know a lot of people will respond and say its Pre-Alpha but feedback like this is important otherwise Devs wont know how or why to correct course.

I have full faith that DE will improve it but I agree that this patch wasnt the direction i expected.

Faction exp gain needs further improvement and I'll be honest i'm probably just gonna ignore the faction grind until im fully endgame and can do tier 3 level 40-50 quests and that shouldnt be the case.

the few content in the current game shouldnt be ignored to grind late game but thats just the most optimal use of my time right now.

pacts need a lot of help in the balance department so many feel extremely underwhelming.

the stat system also makes no sense with some class schools. the fact that i have to sacrifice damage to get ability damage and courage can get both just makes me only wanna stick to that as well.

I digress though, my point is that the game needs a lot of work and P12 has felt like a major step backwards but i have full faith that DE will deliver

I 100% agree with all you said. I really hope people start to realize how insane the faction grind became because they need to balance it asap imo

Yeah it’s baffling to me how some people give more importance to Preludes Honors and how that thread had to be muted because people were going rabid over some pixels that have no meaning whatsoever and no one focused on the game and the fact that this update came severely underbaked. +1 to what you said, you checked some core points and hope DE gives more attention to feedback like yours and not to the people that say that if they can’t collect everything, they will not play anymore.

To add to my comment about tales in cogah, I found one, drank my cogah and activated it, nothing happened quest wise until I died in cogah, then I got the audio for the tale

But yes I very much agree with everything you are saying, saying they are going to decrease grind this update and then making the grind for factions significantly more painful is not a good look, that really got to me.

Faction grind gotta be the worst though. The level 40-50 3 star tale is like doing the highest steel path level warframe bounties for the lowest standing reward possible

+1 I agree with you. I hope now that they got their first money on the game with founders that they will proceed to add more workforce and resources on develpoing the game

what i want to know is : do they think they can get the engine to perform like ppl want it to perform or we will be in this kind of buggy mess forever and its back to the WF formula of "why suffer if I can cheese it, please more cheese next update so i can keep cheesing". Theres bugs in WF that never got fixed throughout the years....can we please slow down on the content and just take care of the bugs so in 4 years its not "the bugs are too old, its spaghetti code, we dont know how to fix it". Ive been hearing about Nimrod/Dimrod hitbox for months now...and with the way I died yesterday, its obviously not fixed. It can't be THAT hard to fix, unless it's unfixable because of the engine ?!

This is a very concise post that sums up alot about how I'm feeling about P12. My biggest gripe with the game right now is all the mismatched progression that exists within co-op play that wasn't fixed from P11.

I expect a slow, grindy game out of Soulframe, and taking a long time for something is fine, but the changes to Enclaves to be heavily reliant on daily caps rather than raw rep grind is questionable and demoralizing, given i know players that powerfarmed factions in P11 (I powerfarmed 2/3), and we're rewarded for it by saving days and weeks of daily cap time-gating.

The walls around the map are my second largest irritation with the update. It just makes traversal annoying, encouraging cheesing with session duplication and Bromius/climbing around the actual walls rather than finding a gate. My group and I literally say "Skyriming it" up a hill or mountain in voice chat.

Wholeheartedly agree with the OP, they did not hit the mark of balancing F2P with the cash shop. There's many things for sale that I would outright remove, frankly they just weren't ready to launch the cash shop. I would've rather just had the weapon rack and pacts until they had cosmetics and some other things to sell, but joineries being priced all over the place, 2* armorsets for sale, 2* weapons, not only do they feel like F2P traps but it feels very F2P in a bad way.

Literally anything they can sell they're selling except for coin.

As for progression, I preferred P11. The new faction grind actually has me angry that I didn't grind out the final two ranks of my final faction and get everything before the change. This is enough grind for the sake of grind to make Korean MMORPGs blush.

I like the founder's packs, but why launch the arc store if you don't have enough to justify it? Should've been delayed imo

While slower than warframe it doesn't feel that slow in general. I wouldnt be against a bar but I also dont think id bother to ever check it.

But thats me and this game is more rpg than warframe is and theres certain rpg elements that most people would expect (like an exp bar)

There is an EXP bar in Warframe. You just have to open the statistics menu. There you can see the EXP bar the amount of EXP you have atm in the mission and the extra EXP from affinity. I think it was with O or P... Can't remember haven't played in 2 years. To be fair Warframe has managed to be more informative towards the player the last few years. I hope Soulframe takes notes cause rn most of the explaining is written in poetic text ;-;

Wdym 3 founders items that are unseable? I’ve had no issues with wyld tetheren. But tbh yeah combat needs an overhaul, I am still hopeful that this could change, we are in the early stages of development (of the core systems)

The second you smite a red soul, your dmg becomes nearly negative, skills are not functional as well, bugging out constantly. The taunt doesnt work either, its weird

You are not allowed to use Wyld Pacts which buffs your attunement on smite, then you are fine

So basically, you are not allowed to play their actual attunement x)

Yeah. Typically every thing seems to get resolved in the week so I’m not that angry about it.

I double down on that, I was creating new sets in my nightfold and by swapping pact and vertues I hit negative numbers (between Oscelda and Sirin) :
If it was just UI bugs I wouldn't mind but it affected the weapons damage output too after a few other tries to replicate that error on grace. (second pics)

Maybe a feed on bug-tracking to talk about it would help ?
