"Yes, and only by marriage to Mora can it be so. But let her not see me this way."
hmmmmmmmmmmmm
._. maybe it just same word but difference concept
Fenn's also not entirely sane.
hey guys, is it possible to change your class? or restart your character, im the archer one but not a huge fan
There are no classes. Pacts, weapons, prisms, etc are all just gear that can be swapped out once you've got more.
I do not like the new undercity tiles
The super tall one genuinely makes me log out to get out of the dungeon
How can you get a new weapon, how early?
A marriage is weirdly defined. Especially when we say all sort of things.
For an example you can say a marriage of fire and steel and it wouldn't be weird in a sentence. Because it technically is used in that conjunction.
But yea. He's pretty whack. I don't think he literally married Mora though he wished he could as implicating several time. He's married to devotion of Mora. Married to his worship of Mora.
hmmmm
Bear in mind this is the guy that stole the sword from Kane.
So he's a bit cuck-oo.
You need ot do the Steelsinger fable to unlock the blacksmith. You can get weapons fragments from many places. Some enemies drop them.
You can do it!
The omen beast fables award you the omen beast pacts to build.
Eh... He's the guy who actually forged the Mora and Sappene swords. Kane just kept refusing to acknowlede they were completed.
It's possible they worked together moreso than just themselves. But Kane refused to finish it.
Hence "refused to strike them complete.".
In fact the absence of a hilt is huge thing here.
Kane's also why Tuvalkane has such bad self esteme.
yup, the imposter syndrome
Fenn took the sword to liberate his people, he did nothing wrong
Kane sucks from what we've read about him
Yeah. Kane's basically just got the Moonsteel as his claim to fame. Yes, creating a new alloy is noteworthy. But it seems that he was a real jerk.
seems like kane was a very perfectionist person huh
He is written off as super perfectionist yeah.
Refuses to finish the mora sword because yeah
You can also get that vibe from how Tuvalkane acts, always assuming her work will be awful when it's actually great
Also, Kane expected a worthy apprentice to wear the moonsteel helmet.
Which is that Destro looking helmet Tuvakane lugs around.
Kane did such a psych job on Tuvalkane that she's depressed that she doesn't get to wear the ugly heavy metal helmet with the handle and lock on it.
Technically isn't his head in it?
I don't think so.
I've heard people say that Tuvaklane's ashes are in it.
Based on some of Tuvalkane'sl lines and the descriptions in her armor set, I've always assumed the moonsteel helmet was for a higher rank than she reached while alive, which is why she feels unworthy of wearing it
That's besides the point. Kane expecting anyone to wear it is proof he's a jerk.
it's mentioned as containing a head in the concept art they showed for the mannequin, on the last devstream - whether that's actually official lore yet is unclear
hey minna logo ?
The symbol or logo on the bed in our mother’s room at the beginning of the game — isn’t it interesting?
It looks like there are two domes there — one is filled downward like an inverted dome, and the other is upright facing upward, just like what we’re seeing here.
3-leaf clover is 4th virtue confirmed? :D
no
god imagine if we could have wabbajack in this game
hello ode, now YOU! are the deer
how to get access to test?
the image of the arm with the lock on the elbow is that a new/proposed class?
concept art of a future pact yes
ohh you mean in #envoy-creations
that's just an Envoy's idea and design for a pact.
DE might use it for inspiration for any pacts Ingame though
how many frames are out rn? is it just the starter three?
8 + 3 Wylds that are for the time being founders only
yeah im a founder, looking around right now in game, i see the greyed out boxes for frames. arts, sorry
Arts is the skilltree
Pacts is the right arm
Arcanics are the abilities
cool. sorry brand new. im very curious about the pacts, none of the starter 3 really get me that interested but i was betting there was more
3 starters
3 omen beasts related to quests
2 different ones in the faction stores (1 with kith of kings and one with both alca's and silent rose)
You yourself are the frame not the pacts.
"Bear their Soul within your Frame" or something like that
Exactly
i, for the life of me, cannot recall if that quote is said in the game or not
i feel like Grandfa says it during the storyboard Juniper cutscenes or in one of the trailers
It is said somewhere in game im pretty sure. Lemme do some checking.
The pacts are the "souls" in the context
You and your base blue arm with no pacts are the frame.
yep, and the only exception to that quip is Ode Tempest, but that's only because it was made by the Ode to weaponize you until you betrayed them
Unless we're channeling the 'spirit of ode tempest' or something, yeah.
It seems like our right arm's magic trick is that it's modular and adaptable to most other magicks.
Ode tech is basically magiteck, so it's an option.
our arm is a biological usb hub
UMB Hub -- Universal Magic Bus
-# not to be confused with Sony's defunct UMD
I have a hunch that in the new story we'll find ourselves in the Flying Fortress, where Orenagll finds her daughter and makes a deal with the Synod, after she becomes possessed and a new enemy. This makes sense, since we don't have a possessed wolf yet, but her the concept exist.
I really don't like the possessed stag and bear. They're boring. Need search them, and if you didn't get the Omen Beast armor before, getting it now will be a bit of a hassle. And removing this armor from the other world bosses makes them feel empty and useless.
Oh, hey, the new prisms added more lore for the Gods of Alca
Each of the Extreme prisms details a dark deed the Celestial gods did, and the Hybrids detail some info about the children of the Celestials
Saphene's Shadow: Steal the source of Grace from the blue sun, Saphene. Light your own shadow in quiet cunning. A whispered word can rend the world in two. 'Twas such from Saphene's lips that spurred the Fey to Felling.
That's very interesting for the lore implications.
Druid of Iridis: Summon an overgrowth of Spirit from the green moon, Iridis. Give and take life with the fickle frivoloty of the Fey. As Iridis breathed our greatest heroes to life, so too did he birth our most horrid monsters.
Oro is described as "half sybil", and apparently he can see everything.
Paladine is apparently strong of heart. and nonbinary, and that's all the lore we get on them, aside from a mention of being "twice-woven". A shame, expect they have some epic power to shake Alca like their siblings
Verus apparently is a lost son, unknown to his father Iridis. "Born of ice and silence" is an interesting origin too.
Looks like the prisms also confirm Mora and Sapphene as wives, not sisters, so that lends some weight to that lore interpretation.
Ooh, and apparently they had a fight a long, long time ago that rent the planet.
And Iridis is their son, fascinating indeed.
Lots of lore implications to these prisms indeed.
This is a third perspective on Iridis's role in the family iirc
Mora's Beast:
Tear a mighty Courage from the red sun, Mora.
Bathe in the flames of her rage. The cause of every great war, every tyrant king. A courage gone unchallenged, a beast gone untamed.
Definitely shouting out Fenn Jotar at a minimum, and likely the Mendicant King
Possibly also a reference to some of the older conflicts like the Felling
But that's far less clear
Especially with Fenn seemingly considering himself betrothed to Mora, or perhaps unrequitedly in love with her? A married woman... shameful, Fenn

Oro is said to be Iridis's son.
They're all the children of Iridis
Paladine, Oro, and Verus
Ah. I must've missed some notes somewhere...
the game lore seems to be very dark +_+
The descriptions of the Hybrid Prisms helped a lot
Typical for DE for sure
Maybe I had a UI error when I was looking at them, cause it just showed the stats, no descriptions.
Hmm...the wiki has them listed
Wonder if it was displayed in the shop ui or inventory ui
Good question. But once you buy one, it disappears from the shop.
Can you check the inventory screen, maybe it has it?
Or do they not appear in the inventory
They didn't appear in inventory screen. I was taking screenshots of everything that has a lore entry. The prisms just have stats.
Oh, that's the arsenal screen though right?
Inventory.
Huh. Weird it would show stats in that screen but okay
DE do be wild with some of the UI in the game stares at wevetseeds
If Oreo or Drackore pop by maybe we can ask where they found em.
Ok... And now the prisms don't show up in inventory, but do have descriptions in Arsenel.
I'm assuming it was some UI weirdness.
Sounds like it
Wevetseeds sometimes show up in inventory. Other times, they don't.
They're classified as a potion, it seems.
As a-OH
That might actually explain some of the weirdness involving them overlapping with the deletion of cogah, maybe?
That might not be Potion, it might be a broader Consumable tab?
That or they made it a potion so it would act as a consumable under the hood
Maybe. Tab says Elixers. But for most people that's just a fancy term for potion.
Have you read the Warframe lore?
space trauma the game
yes.
I should read up on the side lore of this game. I've not beaten the bear yet.
I like the premise of the story so far.
who wants to 5 stack in my overwatch we need 1 gold player
"EEK! You sneak! I would have smelt your aura from here were my Sight not drowned in brine. Hmph. I am the Witch Verminia. Enchanté. May you grant us some colour... And learn some taste, besides."
"Never! I cannot possibly spend my afterlife upon such a watery grave. I smell only salt! I taste only grey. Even the deepest and darkest of blues would be better. Bah, but even this I do not want."
So basically, Verminia is drowned (like other witches), so she can only taste salt and ice-cold water in her afterlife state.
yeah and the nightfold is full of just that
yep
she is also blind and uses synesthesia to smell colors, which is part of the reason they drowned her iirc
Colorblind not fully blind
oh i was told she was blind blind lol
The most annoying words in that game.
Its icony!
In P12 i bestitched Wyld Sirin armor on Medicant armor set, now any armor i equip has Wyld Sirin look, is it normal?
That's normal, you bestitched the Wyld Sirin look onto your character, so if you want to change that you can simply go change it at verminia
Transmog in soulframe is slot-based not item based, allowing you to keep your preferred appearance separate from your stat-items
It's all explained on the https://wiki.avakot.org/Bestitching page if you want to learn more
Bestitching is also loadout dependant so using a different loadout slot will go back to the default look for armor
Do i need some sort of invitation ?
either an invite via email, or redeem a code at https://soulframe.com/promocodes yes
You can check the ways to get access in the pinned message in #envoy-gathering , also there'll be an Envoy Hour stream later today which will give access as a Twitch Drop

One eye for the Gruulseeker,
Four for the Bane.
Two pits for the Reaper,
In dangling chains.
1256
Carrying this over for some Lore Discussion
Gruulseeker has to be Ruthos right?
Reaper is probably the Boss of the Glades
Bane could be Marrow's Bane but it having what seems like 4 eyes seems...off
Ah, there's an image
Ah, it's referencing the boss concepts
The first must be the Gruulseeker, the second the Bane with 4 eye markings
And the last the Reaper
Wonder if these are meant to be a boss for the upcoming siege
Could def see that - maybe with the castles they have several bosses you can tackle in any order as opposed to the sequential bosses of the Fort sieges?
I'm hoping they add a castle raid or something more akin to a zelda-style dungeon with minibosses and such. Having 3 such bosses in the same castle and having to sort all three of them out would be epic. 😄
But yeah, one per castle is also neat.
The castle on the northeast tip of the island has had a lot of work put into it since the last prelude. It went from hollow shell to very fleshed out on the interior.
They also added statues to the front and back of it.
Well, they did already confirm Mirifuir was becoming a Siege iirc
So it's possible these are the bosses for it
And with the Castle being a much larger footprint on the map, it's possible it will be a much larger Siege than the Fort sieges
The interior, what I can see of it in bird form at least, is freaking huge looking.
Gives me a lot of hope and excitement for something crazy long and epic to fight through.
Might actually need friends for this one.
And I'm OK with that, despite being a solo player.
I'll find someone to run it with me. lol
With how far it came this Prelude, kinda hoping for a p14 release, but if not p15 makes sense too
Their focus on Aggressive System Overhauls takes priority in terms of dev time it sounds like.
And while they do seem devoted to adding a new activity with each as well, could imagine an epic siege like that might take a few months to get squared away
I'd rather them take a bit of extra time polishing the bugs out anyway.
I know we're here to help find those, but still. Something that big needs the spare dev time to find and squash things earlier on. We might be testers, but a lot of players are also just customers now. Can't expect people to not get frustrated and drop the game if it's particularly buggy.
Fair, but personally will stick through regardless. Played buggier alphas and betas, always a heckuva lot of fun to find a weird one.
Oh same here. Even the weird nerfs and changes to mechanics that rub me wrong haven't sent me away yet. I can excuse a lot of things with the "it's still in early development" thing for now.
I really enjoyed finding my way out to the island in earlier preludes. Still like popping out there to take a look at things from an out of bounds perspective sometimes.
-# sure was nice of them to leave a tree on it for us to teleport to. lol
My only concern with a raid being especially buggy is if it stops people from completing it or getting good runs out of it. Finding weird passages in walls or AI being a little buggy is fine.
Like the bird is particularly confused right now in a lot of tiles, but that's OK because it doesn't actually stop anyone from doing things normally, the bird just really likes walls for some reason.
Drop rates being bugged, or bosses not spawning, or mechanics breaking with puzzles, however, would be progression-stopping and very frustrating, so those need to be hammered out as soon as possible.
Are any of the methods to get to the last world tree still working? I've tried a few and they all seem to be patched out at this point
They patched the hole I used back in the day. No idea what people are doing now.
I'll ferry you out there though if you want. My IGN is the same as here: Anova
I'm ingame atm, so add/message me and I'll invite you for the warp. 🙂
Catch me online sometime.
My buddy managed to squeeze out of bounds and walk his way over on Sunday. That's the latest I know of it though.
You can get TPed there via joining someone who's fast traveled there.
How do you see your name in the founders garden?
Did you plant your flowers yet?
How do you do that?
Go to the eternium gardens, find an instance with space left, and, if you bought a founders pack, you can find an empty plot and plant there
Where is the graden?
Go to nightfold and play the music emote
I just saw the helmet toggle. I wasted a bestich.
I never opened emotes before now. 😭
Toggle flips the visor
Doesn't remove helmet
there'll be a faint marker in the top left of the icon
There will be a little marker in the top of the garden icon for the instance you have flowers in
Does it matter what garden I plant in?
Not really
Do I need to check multiple gardens for a spot?
check the end, the ones not completely filled by the indicator have an open spot
How full a Garden is is shown by the water level of the icon
When do new gradens drop?
Pretty sure they just open up automatically as previous instances become full
There's a spot I want...
Go grab it!! 🌻
I have to wait. It's been taken on all servers. I ran into someone in blue fire king gear checking the same spot.
It's Mickie's world, we're just living in it
Bro thinks he's the hand of destiny 😂
I'll save the other 3 for another day. Planted red in 261
idk if this is the right channel but...........
we shall see
Basker's Wrest id like to get this puppies and use them with moras hand, is there a way to reforge them to do fire damage and or scale with courage?
i figured the rescalling with courage would be easy enough to do in theory, but changing to fire to benefit better from moras hand style i didnt know.
no way to get them to do fire damage but you can use a Blessed By Mora: Gildaur/Feybalt on them to add courage scaling to them. it won't replace the existing scaling tho
dang there goes my dream of being the true firelord
weird that the fire gaunlets from the fire kings army arent fire though right?
might change eventually but who knows
I'm assuming it's a bug or not implemented, trying to ask Geoff in the stream right now but it's pretty rare for them to answer every question
Geoff answered! When asked about damage types like Blunt (Rook) or Flame (not yet implemented but presumably Basker's should be fire, right?), Geoff didn't know all the details but said "there is a pass being done by the design team on this" - so I think that's decent confirmation that it will at least make sense eventually 👍
Does anyone know a good farming method for the parts other than running in circles in Stroaic?
Running in circles in New Viscii
but yeah corrupted plants can be... a bit of a slog, at times
As a class change, I unintentionally chose the archer.
I genuinely had a better time in New Viscii, though, than Stroaic - at least for Synod's Maiden
you can craft all the pacts and weapons eventually
😢
You can gain the other starter Pacts from the Faction (keep playing the tutorial questline and you'll get there), though might need to rank up a couple of times.
Starter Prisms you can get immediately by visiting the other Factions, but you have to stumble upon those (or look them up in Avakot.org).
@Sinecure-Errant Drackore The area is too big for me, too many zigzags and mobs.
@pulsar orchid
fair, both work!
thanks
hey im in a crypt and there seems to be some sort of puzzle in here, i know thats vague
but theres like knights that should be able to move, statues i mean. and theres a room with that button that expends a bridge? i cant figure it out. anyone have a tip?
Crypt is full of puzzles.
The bridge is from the first room?
In that case the point is to reach the sarcophagus, which sometimes is openable.
This link has the guide for the major puzzles, but don't be afraid to explore, apart from the first room one all the other award some loot.
https://wiki.avakot.org/Festival_of_the_Circade
what did you start out with? courage/spirit/grace?
You can open the map and see the icon on the enclave.
Starter faction is based on starter Virtue selection:
Courage = Kith of Kings.
Spirit = Alca's Children.
Grace = Silent Rose.
im pretty sure it was spirit, the druid looking one
but i got the founder warrior so ive just been playing that
aka avakot's people
Starter selection is what is important here, the Founder is just added stuff.
Is it just me or is the waste bear quest supposed to be an allusion to drug addiction?
more depression than anything, i think, but they overlap a bit

Ok I'm looking at the lyrics and I think it's alcoholism
it is very alcoholism/general substance abuse coded
you're not you when you're hungry
Is there some secret with this in the Circade crypts? :l
They make bell sound when you shoot 'em
There are several in that room and a specific order
Either the wiki or a youtube video will probably be best to see them
It was a community puzzle, so by yourself, you don't have enough information to brute force the solution - you needed information from other players.
Not too long ago the wiki page was linked over here: #spoiler-chat message
As it appears to be an Ode’n Spellsong, I’m curious if other creatures will be targeted for specific weaknesses?
Mendicants were an Alcan problem from before the Ode, the Ode'n Ichor gave them material form so they made them more of a problem.
To me it sounds more like Mendicant coded than Ode'n coded (even an explicit mention of Mendicants).
I don't think we have any confirmation that they were a problem, so much as they were just spirits that existed. We know that "the ghost of the Wazzard haunted Wevetwood long before the coming of Ode" but what that means has a pretty big range - a few whispers, a chill down the spine? Or killing foragers? Who can say 😅
The corruption though certainly gave them the form that has allowed them to become an actual undead scourge, at least as far as I can tell!
And the Song of Waste is 100% Mendicant not Ode, yes - I can't remember if it's George who said this or just something that came up through dev stuff in general, but it's the voice of that specific Mendicant brand of corruption in Bromius' head, as the allegory for addiction, urging him to fall deeper into it and " 'come Mendicant' "
Wasn’t the Mendicant King a real person that ruled Curlail at one point? I think Mendicant was just a title for his army and they died but then the ichor brought them back from the dead. We know he fought in the Fonnish charge and if you see where the fonnish foot ruins are on the map I can believe The Mendicant King died on the battlefield were now Stroac lays ( a place erased from history by the leaking fallen skytower ). Even Galvinar wastes is teased to be a big graveyard were a dead army was layed to rest ( correct me if I am wrong )
To me Mendicants are the raised dead army of the Old king of Curlail
Or has that been red conned already…
Mendicant is the name of the Corrupted Undead
The King was a real guy, as was his army, but they were not called Mendicant until resurrection as Ichor Zombies
He was yes! Though at that point I'm not sure if he was yet given the title of 'Mendicant', nor his army, though that might still be open to interpretation
I agree Stroaic is likely the site of his final battle, its history erased by the corruption of the fallen skytower there, and his army laying beneath its soil
Mendicants aren't specifically his army, because the Wazzard of the Wevetwood was also raised as a Mendicant
Nothing has been retconned in all of Soulframe afaik, other than the original concept for Primordial Envoys (though it's not really a retcon since it's just an early concept they were talking about and the game's in alpha)
EDIT: Oh wait Aurora got changed to Alora, still not really a retcon because alpha but yea
Ohh that makes sense yeah
So the guy who wrote his final battlecry…
He wrote it after he fell and already became Mendicant??
They did some soft retcons. Orlick mentions early on some see the Twin Suns as Sisters, and some as Wives, but the prisms kinda weighted that much more heavily to the Wives position
Don’t forget Almagest…..
Could it be that the prisms let us know the truth, but that some characters in the world still hold their own interpretations?
We don't know who wrote the memory fragments...Perhaps Orlick himself from the glimpses of memory contained within the Histories
VERY possible
Oh man yeah Almagest --> Algamest, I still don't like that change 😭
Oh, btw, Drackore
We were checking out the lore pages on the wiki the other day
Why is Oro the only child of Iridis with his own page?
Oh nooo I'm still in the middle of updating them 🫣
That would explain why then
I thought those history fragments came from books and notes? Cause it mentions a name of someone that wrote the final battlecry of the Mendicant king?
Noticed Verus and Paladine were missing and was like "wut O_O"
Hmm, that's a good point
I thought about that immediately like…. Wait I thought they where sisters 😂 😂 😂
After I make the page for Envoy Customisation (this one's been giving me nightmares), the next thing on my to-do list is taking the lore from each item added in P13 and sprinkling it onto the appropriate pages - I did end up making a page for Algamest since I'd recently made the Mistress of the Thread page, but yes Verus and Paladine are still upcoming, and Oro's page needs updates from Seathorn's lore
One sec, gonna check the lore
The prisms seem to have confirmed the Truth, while Belief is still up to the individual/Culture
Verus has two half faces and is an ice goddess?? I think she lives on a remote island away from iridis’ eye
Verus is a guy
Wait a guy?
He is not known to Iridis
Can someone who has already changed classes guide me?
Damn I thought a woman
And basically lives in a land of frigid ice
Define what you mean by Class
None of the gods of the Hybrid Prisms are women
this is the one place his gender was confirmed so dw it's easy to miss!
This
faction, I want to use a staff, but I accidentally chose the bow.
Ohhh I get it I misread it I saw babe and thought it was a she mb
Silent Rose, your starting faction, can sell you the Starter Staff Gwylen in their shop
Also the Starter Sword, Wulder
Wait, Silent Rose not Children
Fixed
Iridis is described as an "ashen babe" in some of the lore, so...yeah definitely just an old timey word for baby
I am just really exited for all this mythical lore!!
Oh on the topic of gods, do you know which are gods vs demigods? Oro is confirmed as a demigod in his prism, and Verus confirmed as a demigod in Wazzard's Robes, so I am assuming the same of Paladine, just trying to track down more info but that might be it
Yeah but I knew iridis was a male before the prisms so
@rich ingot thanks
Would assume the same?
agreed 😄
Also, what does "twice woven heart" mean
That's been kinda bugging us from Paladine's lore
Could be that Paladine has a heart made of tree roots and it is woven together?
They get so much less description of their abilities than the others, that's the only real hint
I remember you mentioning this the other day! Yeah it's really interesting, because on surface level you could assume Paladine as simply non-binary, but what if twice-woven means literally two souls, similar to the Circade's three? Maybe they're not enby but a male and female soul sharing a body? All speculative though
What are their confirmed aspects?
I know Oro is seen as a deity of the sea and I guess Verus is on of ice
Lore does say "neither man nor woman", so maybe not that exactly.
Nonbinary and strong of heart
If the lore said "both man and woman" could def see a twin soul argument
Maybe that is their demigodness? Like physically two beings (one of god and one of animal) woven together?
The fact this is all we get is what irks us
Yeah you're right, the wording of 'neither' definitely seems against that
Oh I like that, god and fauna, could be cool
There's a hint of something with those three words
But the rest is just very...basic compared to the others lorewise.
Maybe could be something related to Neath’uns?
I always felt like Paladine is tree related because of that woven ness and Neath’uns being woven too
But then again there are also the Weavers maybe they are related to them as well?
...Oh! Algamest is the Weaver God, yeah?
Oh wait yeah Algamest
Wonder if Paladine is the child of Algamest and Iridis
Ooooh
But like… who the hell is Algamest then??? Also a primordial god like Mora and Saphene??
https://wiki.avakot.org/Algamest this is the one I do have a page for! 😂
Algamest, Mistress of the Thread. A Midrathian deity, said to have woven a web across the skies of Alca.
Algamest certainly isn't quite a Celestial, she doesn't fuel magick in herself.
But she's not Fey either, her Web isn't described as pulling from the Virtues, but more as a natural law in and of itself
Creating the whole weave is tuff ngl
She is, perhaps, some other level or type of deity?
Interesting… just a set constant in the world
Her work is at least
It's possible she's an Origin Myth
And as such she herself might have been a mortal long passed who committed a great feat
And was then deified in myth
It is also interesting that the three children of Iridis are also seen as constellations
Wait what?
We must have missed something
There are constellation gods, but they're Ode gods
Like Sidae
Yeah the constellation Oro was something in the prisms no?
And the wazzard robes says that it is adorned by the stars of Verus’ constellation
Oh, yeah, the Constellation Oro
That is...huh.
That actually supports the Ode potentially not being truly alien then
Maybe Iridis has more children 😂😂😂
Oro originally struck me as a legendary meteorite, given that Oro's well was created when a beam of light bore down from Iridis - I suppose Oro could be both but yeah
I mean they have star probe operations and are constantly traveling the universe e
I think both the Ode and Alcans see meaning in the stars, which makes sense as it's a shared awe across many human civilisations irl too
The prisms of the Children of Iridis confirm them all as Constellations
The light was of Iridis’ rings no? And the Oro cried in the Well to fill it with the water of the Salz
Ode have Sidae, Culveer, Volhal etc - Alcans have Algamest, Verus, Oro, Paladine
"Draw Courage and Spirit both from the constellation Paladine."
"Draw Grace and Courage both from the constellation Verus"
Maybeeee they are the same thing!!
No because they have other aspects tied to them
One is of natural order and one is for justice
Volhal I don’t know…
Also, what exactly is Salz
The Forge
The sea
The Ode literally use the star of Volhal as a forge for weapons
https://wiki.avakot.org/Salz_Sea it's just the sea to the west of Salzberg
The Salz is a sea off the western coast of the isle of Midrath. Salzbrim sits upon the coast of the Salz, and the Dendrit Staff known as Seathorn was plunged from its depths.
Legit just the sea I believe
...OH
Oh interesting
Oh damn?
Salz could be one of the words
There was that line, "a journey cross"
With the unknown word
What if it's Salz
Ohhhh
I like it! A journey across the Salz yeah
There is also the Wynd for one of the mountain peaks
I guess it would be that language/culture's name for Salz, which would be a different name, but would essentially mean the same sea
Also, why is the Salz linked to Oro? Just because he wept in the well?
Is the Salz tied to divination somehow
The barnacles are also believe to be Oro’s eyes
On the new magical staff
What’s its name again?
Hmm, so Oro is tied to both Sea and Sky
Seathorn
Oro’s well history says that Oro cried in the well with the water of the Salz or something like that
Now I am doubting if it was actually crying or just filling the well with Salz water
...Hmm. Does this perhaps imply Oro is the source of Seawater?
Imagine when swimming is here and we can swim in the ocean and just see a large statue of Oro on the sea bottom 😂
The source of all ocean water
Oh, Oro emerged from the Salz!
And him passing through the well drained his garbs and filled it!
Ohhhhh
"For an era of prosperity, the Fey drew wisdom and wishes from Alca's well. For an era of fervency, they sipped it dry. 'Twas not 'till Oro, son of Iridis came upon it, dripping with the salt of the Eastern seas, did the well fill at last with water. Still, Oro's Well bears the sweetest drink. Imbued as it is with trace of mother's magicks forevermore."
So Oro and the Salz are both tied very closely with Algamest's Weave
Oh damn nvm then
A type of wise witch
But that was the same power Oden stole in his lust for knowledge
Oh, wait, they're Greek
Wtf
Anyways, yeah, seers or oracles
There is so much loose lore around this. Good luck Drackore for piecing it all together 😂
I was also thinking to just make a spreadsheet and go over all the items again and piece everything together: characters, events, family trees etc
They are just really good at slowly revealing certain stuff
And also having filler stuff that just shows us the way of life in the game lore
Like how the precklies gives us a little children game Dendrit people used to do
I really adore this about the game
definitely gotta read all the notes, location histories and item descriptions again at some point ._.
Yeah I gotta go everything again too and piece stuff together
Also when Lore chat comes out? 👀
Hah thanks 😂 I've just created https://wiki.avakot.org/Verus and https://wiki.avakot.org/Paladine if you can think of anything to add to them; I'm now updating https://wiki.avakot.org/Oro with his P13 lore, and I think I need to revisit the well's lore and sprinkle that on his page too
The second born of Iridis. A babe born in ice and silence. On the Isle where the suns never set, Verus is a secret to his father still.
The third child of Iridis, beloved Paladine. Neither son nor daughter, with the strength of both in their twice-woven heart.
The first child of Iridis was born half god, half sibyl. When the moon walked the world as man, he taught his son to see Algamest's great weave. Oro's eye sees all.
Yeah that'd be awesome, it's what I'm doing now actually haha so it'd be amazing to have a second set of eyes to doublecheck things 🙏 I'm adding citations to each lore element so that it shows which specific item description a piece of information has come from
Which is appreciated, as a lore speculator!
100%, it fits with the many-eyed and all-seeing aspects of Oro, definitely a half-sage demigod I reckon!
Makes you wonder who the sybil parent is though
Absolutely does - what seer was metal enough to fall in love with the moon and bear a child!!
Also I'm going to update Algamest's page with the tentative interpretation that the 'great weave' may be considered a weave of fate in Midrathian mythology (similar to the Norse fates); I say this because Oro was taught to see this weave by his father and is also described as an all-seeing half-oracle
I’d be happy to help with that! I already have a lore map made in obsidian 😂
Wasn’t there someone in Othavess that fell in love with Iridis and waited for him to show up which he never did and then went into the ocean to die????
Or was it one of the other towers?
Or no it was one of the villages!!
It's also described as the tapestry of stars, interestingly
Iridis is also described as the Great Mariner
Interesting
Nellynoch 😄
A fishing village huddled 'round a cursed cove. A lovestruck mage once spent her summer begging Iridis to visit her in the moonlit cove. When the autumn chill blew in and he had still not arrived, she walked into the Salz, never to resurface.
Iridis seems very closely tied to the Salz
Yo…… what if it literally is this mage
In a way neither Saphene nor Mora are to any other part of Midrath
It makes sense with the Moon being the Tidemaker
Brings up the Salzbrim sailor story too
ooh, Paladine
Verus looking kinda funny
(from the Wazzard's Robes, in case anyone's curious what this is!)
The stars on the large ribbons are supposedly matching the stars from his constellation
Wait are those eyes on that chain holding the faces?
Oh good point I need to add that to his page, and I guess also the suns on the torso might be meant to be stars of Verus as well?
They are yeah! Spooky huh
I'm actually really pleased with how much info we have now
that picture is honestly awesome XD
(Oro is also described as a constellation)
Wait IS Algamest described as a constellation?
There's a citation, time to rabbit hole some lore
Citation is for Verus as a constellation
I think it is only the weave that is described as a large constellation
wait gang
i am confusing some lore here
the astrologers watch description says that napo agnes liked the view of the night sky in midrath more because it isn't "tainted by the ever-glow of the Borealis" and i always assumed that was the large cluster of stars in the skybox and what was the weave?
Citation on Verus' page is for him, it's just at the end of the sentence for neatness rather than coming immediately after the word constellation
Then Paladine is in their prism, which is cited on their page
Then Algamest I'm thinking of the 'dripping dew of Almagest's web' line, implying the constellation/night sky is the web, but you're right that doesn't necessarily mean Algamest is a constellation so I think I need to walk that back
It could be that Algamest wove the fates into the night sky etc etc, but she herself could be... anything really
a spider demigod, deity of the weavers, who knows
Makes sense. Could just replace Algamest with Oro since he is a constellation
Per his own prism description
Great shout yeah that needs adding anyway so I'll just swap them out
i see now. in Oro's ranger prisms description it is said that Iridis taught his son how to see the weave of Algamest from Earth
The Borealis presumably refers to aurora borealis, so this stuff as opposed to the stars themselves - it implies that Cassia is perhaps closer to the poles of Alca, and could even be the 'icy and silent' place that Verus was born
ohh that is interesting
maybe this is why we see the weave as a constellation?
Wait...where the Twin Suns never set!
The solar bodies in alca, which direction do they go in???
And what's their visible latitude from Midrath?
Okay the constellation lines are updated on Oro, Verus and Paladine!
If Alca has a tidally locked axial tilt putting the suns consistently or south, then the pole would never see a sunset!
It would also never have seasons, but we haven't seen any evidence of those yet anyways
I think it's tough to say which of the constellations we see align with anything in particular. The stars were described as 'dripping dew off Algamest's web' which implies to me that her web might be the whole tapestry, the entire night sky; and it would take a sibyl/seer/oracle to read the web itself. As for us, we can just admire the view 😄
I think we do have mention of seasonality in lore, such as Thawtide, and the fact that the Ode'n weatherers prevent the usual Thawtide snows!
So I was thinking earlier about Svalbard and how at some times of year their night is never dark, like there's just constant sun, so you're absolutely right this could be Cassia - I'm just a bit conflicted about the everglow of the borealis, and if they never had night time anyway, then they'd be much more annoyed about Mora and Saphene ruining the views, than they would about borealis hahah
ohh makes sense why iridis taught oro to see it due to his seer side
True, but if there is a place with only sun
Then in turn
There must be a place with no sun
Verus at one, and the Borealis at the other
this is like three body problem kind of thing though XDD best not to really look into it cause the orbits are essentially impossible
or that is only with 3 suns?
That's only 3
A binary star system is incredibly stable
And well documented due to the Tau system being so observable and a binary star system
wait so the twin suns orbit each other right?
Yep
like they are circling a common centeR?
They are circling a midpoint based on the relative masses of each sun
But that midpoint would be shared unless the masses were substantially different
how would it be night then though? and each sun have a main spot light in the day?
Because they orbit each other, not the planet
And the dominant light would be which one is closer to the planet
Assuming similar luminosity and mass of course
Omg yess I see what you mean now! Verus where the sun never sets, and Cassia where the sun never rises, hence the everglow
Exactly!
Similar to how the North Pole has endless sun in the summer, but the South Pole has endless night at the same time, and vice versa
The difference would have to be a tidal lock on the axial tilt to avoid the season long day/night swapping between poles
yeah but they are each of equal length...
so the suns are orbiting the common center -> when mora rises, mora is closer to us and saphene is in the back
they circle once which means now saphene is in the front and mora in the back
then it is night which means midrath is facing away
i think we can't really have gameplay in this cause then both mora and saphene would orbit each other again in the same time it is night and then Mora has to take the front again which doesn't make sense
i might be overthinking it lol
Will have to check the day/night but pretty sure Night and Day are always the same length, but sometimes Mora is the day and sometimes Saphene
wait huh? i thought it was always Mora -> Saphene -> Iridis
It could also be explained by the fact Saphene and Mora could be of different masses, if you are correct
Which is hard to tell
yeah i think Saphene should be the bigger one because she is described to be 3 times hotter than Mora
Size doesn't really correlate nicely to mass in Stars
nop
Bigger usually means colder, as does redder
oh wait yeah
ye, bluer stars are hotter
Small, blue or white stars are often the hottest.
They grow bigger and colder as they age
Growing more red
Now, those also don't easily correlate to mass, which is what a gravitational orbit would care about
oh so maybe Mora is the more dominant one in the system and Saphene more orbits Mora with then some days having Saphene in front of Mora?
But iirc Tau Ceti has a similar setup of a larger and smaller sun.
So we could use that as a reference
ye
damn wouldn't Saphene just burn us like crazy? is that maybe why Cassia's Borealis is so damn bright and ever glowing?
does alca just have a crazy magnetic field to protect us? XDD
wait... no Tau has a larger blue star and a smaller yellow star
damn maybe the weave is the magnetic field of alca...
afaik both are binary systems tho
... Holy sheet that would make so much sense
Night is half as long, it's 15mins vs day's 30mins
yuh
Yeah, but does day go Mora for 15 then Saphene for 15?
non
Or does it pick between Mora and Saphene for that day?
it's 30 mins of mora or saphene
That's what we're trying to remember as it would impact orbital mechanics as they relate to mass
maybe we are just a flat earth with both suns and moon in a weird as curve above us
then night, then 30 min of whichevers turn it is
i love the rats with wings
that is so strange...
Is it random? When I made the day-night cycle page I tested a few times, 3 I think, and got this
We were mixing up Tau and Centauri
maybe I was just lucky three times in a row though lmao
Okay, so that would support a difference in mass between Mora and Saphene
wait wat....
It certainly does one for 15, then the other for 15 - and in my experience it's Saphene first but as Wagiii says maybe it needs further testing if it can be random?
idk... i haven't paid that much attention to it
yeah i thought is always was Mora first then comes Saphene and then Iridis awakes
i just see daytime changing
and that repeats
Assuming this was intentional there's a whole branch of Astrophysics to explore that relates to Alca to dig into!
Wait a second actually I think the page doesn't match my own notes, I might've forgor to update it 💀 you're right my notes say Mora first
yeah I got Mora rises first, 3 days in a row
i swear i got a Saphene Glows in the middle of the day though
Okay, even if it's the same order it's a bit more boring but still kinda cool physics wise
Yep this is what matches my notes, will update page now
I'll keep an eye on more days to see if it keeps adding up
Centauri is large blue small red
so the same as tau ceti (except smaller is yellow)
It looked like there might be a big red small blue in the wikipedia article for binary stars though
Ugh, white dwarf and red dwarf orbital pair, not quite what we were looking for
Wait actually... I think my notes are out of date, and the page is up to date, and dawn is Saphene glows, then midday is Mora rises hahaha
definitely need to test to reconfirm that
Antares
mmh i'll check as well
Red supergiant, with a smaller blue-white sequence star
currently for me it is Mora I'll see what comes after
Does it say night in <15, or night in between 15-30?
Orbital period of Antares is...ah, frick
night in 40 sec 😂
so yeah Mora is before Iridis
yayy that means another confirmation for Mora noon
Orbital period of 1000-2000 years
Okay, so this might not be the best example
Is there any chance we could get an estimate of the distance between Mora and Saphene?
never knew there was a lonely tree shredder all the way over here...
there do be
Oh. Oh frick. Oh no.
"the common outcome of a 3 body problem is one of the suns being ejected from the orbit and leaving a stable binary pair"
...What of that was the catastrophe of Mora and Saphene's quarrel?

A star being ejected from a trinary close enough it had significant gravitational or luminary impact on the planet
Potentially causing catastrophic disasters
Alca is pretty definitively on a P type orbit at least
...Feels like we could probably come up with some interesting physics questions for the next Envoy Hour
Such as "what is the distance between Mora and Saphene in AU"
that de probably wont be able to answer lol unless they went that indepth with the world crafting
If nothing else it might result in some very interesting and funny answers
We might be able to back calculate this
Might
Assuming the parallax is actually calculable at different points in the year
And assuming we might be able to see the stars in daytime
ain't no way they booted out Algamest
Oh, that would be really funny
If Algamest was the third sun and it being displaced caused the Weave (a massive aurora lightshow)
maybe mora and saphene are orbiting clockwise, Alca is orbiting counter clock wise and on top of that Alca is spinning clockwise?
it think... that is just place holder because i am pretty sureee... that is the Tau system in warframe...
...That's one helluva math problem
Nope
ohhhh now i see yeah
Big blue, small red, larger displacement
they are still pretty similar with that one solar flare connection
big difference with these ~~ guys ~~ ladies
i see yeah i was just confused then
We know the Suns are just a png on an artificial orbit on a set timer, but...ugh
We wanna do math so bad rn
i have a handy white board i can mail you naito
wait maybe this is that big fight they made? all those in between solar flares getting slung back to Alca
They're insanely close if Saphene is being ripped up like that
that would explain that Mora and Saphene's fight "scoarched Alca"
Like, maybe less than an AU close
isn't AU the distance from the earth to the sun?
Mora also clearly has the higher density, which is very odd
This. 🤣
Yeah
i mean not really right? Aren't red sun typically way bigger with less density? and blue stars smaller but with more density?
They must have had an unstable orbit, there's no way Saphene has been that close to Mora for millenia
Yes, which is why it's weird saphene is being torn apart
ohh like that... yeah that is weird
It should be much more dense
i wouldnt be suprised if the center of orbit is more closer to mora than saphene which would probably influence saphene being torn apart
That's the other really annoying part: there's no visible orbit period
We can assume one of 45 minutes from the in game day timer.
But there's no visual support
i finally made a super close binary star system that doesnt immediately destroy itself or shoots the planet off into the void
Mass differential and orbital distance of the stars?
the only math i used was trial and error until stable
'mora' and 'saphene' have ~0.45AU distance between them with 'alca' being ~2 AU away from 'mora' on the larger part of the orbit
yeah without knowing the actual in-universe mass of all 3 known bodies (save iridis, but its mass is basically negligible on the planetary and solar scale)
-# and the fact i had to give saphene alot of velocity to stay balanced with mora tugging on it
What do you think the metaplot of Soulframe will be? For Warframe it's identity, but for Soluframe it's family?
First time even hearing "mataplot".
Perhaps I chosen wrong word in english. More right word should be leitmotif.
Can't say that's any more coherant.
Yes, it should be better word.
Global warming :p. Or what ever they call that sh!t these days
"get off my lawn"
Actually, strong nature theme is present in Warframe too. At least, I see Fey as a syndicates New Loka and Red Veil as Seelie and Unseelie courts.
What's "Seelie"/"Unseelie"?
Different Fey courts
Not sure if they're from any actual mythology or just part of the modern zeitgeist though
You're in a chat talking about video game lore
I needed to get that out. Too many weird words I've neever seen before.
"In Scottish folklore, faeries are divided into the Seelie Court and the Unseelie Court. D. L. Ashliman notes that this may be the most famous division of fairies.[5]
The Seelie Court is described to comprise fairies that seek help from humans, warn those who have accidentally offended them, and return human kindness with favors of their own. Still, a fairy belonging to this court would avenge insults and could be prone to mischief.[6]
The Unseelie Court describes the darkly-inclined fairies. Unlike the Seelie Court, no offense was deemed necessary to bring down their assaults.[6] In Scotland, they were seen as closely allied with witches.[7]"
Not all game players are nerds.
But video game lore fanatics do tend to be
And not everyone discussing the lore is a fanatic.
True
No, we're in chat seeing you talk about video he lore. Lol
continues calculating orbital pathways of binary star systems
guys i found another glades exit that isn't on the soulmap yet!!
so idk who to report this to?
who was it again?
@vague nacelle , or you can report it via the link on soulmap!
ohh thx
oh hi
thanks, i'll add it tomorrow
i forgot to add it i went out of there 39384 times
bro... you good?
I was wondering, what if the fairy world is the moon? At least there is definitely something, because moon have symbol of Oscelda.
Oscelda is aligned with spirit and so Iridis so most likely Oscelda just has the symbol of Iridis
i was distracted from vcing with a friend i hadn't been in vc for like... months
i mean that's awesome but like.... doing glades hundreds of times 😂
i would immediatly fold
I meant spirit is magic and imagination. And we have the moon with that symbol.
the Virtue magicks come from the three main deities which is Mora that gives Courage, Saphene that gives Grace and Iridis that gives Spirit. So The symbol of Iridis is then most likely some sort of rune for Spirit Magick
and Oscelda is aligned with Spirit so wears the Symbol of Iridis
oh, well i did that for old gath, it was more like 10 glades t3s in a row or smth
Oscelda was aligned with Iridis yeah, but she's just one of the three Fey envoys we know about - alongside Tethren (aligned with Mora) and Sirin (Saphene)
I think Eldveil (if that's what you mean by fey world) is its own plane of existence, or some other Silven Sea-esque plane
You could just join the avakot.org discord and say "hey, I found this thing, it's over here" with pics.
but Eldveil though... mhhh it is hard to say that that would come from Iridis because Alora made alca and midrath and she came from out of the sea
yeah could just be another plane of existence or a real garden somewhere else on the planet that is just really remote
damn i didn't realise there was a discord
yep we use it for all the wiki / soulmap / little genius related stuff! So you can always feel free to ping one of us here, but there you can make feedback and bug report threads etc when needed
World trees are probably just flowery wording, rather than actual lore.
What do you mean by that? They do have their own lore:
It is bad luck indeed to harm one of Alca's own World Trees. They are widely considered to have been planted by Fey in the era before humankind... Though there is much speculation as to why.
or do you mean in terms of like, how fundamental they are to the structure/nature of Alca
I mean the poem about Alora.
Ahh I see
it's interesting how it's written from the perspective of the trees themselves
that is true yeah but still it can give us some insides on how she came to be and how Eldveil might work
I do suspect they might be true, simply because of the fact that:
- Alora prayed for humankind
- The first envoys marched against humankind, in the Felling
- They are considered to have betrayed Alora after this, which may indicate the Felling itself as the betrayal
damn i never gotten the island tree.... i should have done it ages ago
it is also cool that Saphene started the Felling
like she used her cunning wording to whisper thoughts of war into the minds of fey and human kind
omggg thank you I knew I'd forgotten something! Yeah this was a cool lore drop, I need to add this to the Saphene and Felling pages hahah
Where's that shown at?
Ah. I hae yet to red the prisms. Still not fully awake yet. Been up and down all night...
I have a notes folder with everything but the prisms screenshotted.
I might just log in and screenshot 'em and and then go back to bed for a while.
Yeah the prisms were crazy, huge gift from sydney / writing team
Each Extreme prism shows a dark side of the Virtue
Grace leads to Manipulation
Courage to Tyranny
And Spirit values life regardless of its harm to others
yeah apparently Iridis gave life to many monsters 💀
-# and Devotion inspires bravery. Bravery inspires sacrifice. Sacrifice leads to death.
sorry the way naito structured those messages reminded me of the guardian motto from destiny lol
Ok. Screenshots taken. Going to go lay back down, cause typing, reading getting harder again...
I'll read 'em whan I'm actually awak.
finall found the organ line
"You would have dead stone, cold metal, over life?" said by the Organ guy to us. Just an interesting thought about the Ode perspective
like, do they even see plants and animals as "alive" or do they just see a cold dead world?
while collecting all the mythology of soulframe i found something else about Iridis being heavily connected to the Sea.
Apparently the after life in soulframe are the Rings of Iridis!
When you die, you will have to find a place on his rings and sail it forever more
man what even is a "soul" in this universe
I know that the ooze critters don't seem to have 'em
yeah their "Life" is really strange. They seemingly only live on Ichor and their world should resemble what the areas around the skytowers are
all his lines are on his wiki page btw if you just want quick access https://wiki.avakot.org/Medis_Gyon/Quotes
Am I supposed to recognize the guy in the bottom of this?
bless wiki guys
That's Tuvalkane 😭
So...yeah?
and apparently Rhiannon is being exluded from that after life
She's not a guy 💀
Have you checked?
Most of the community has given what she wears 😭
she uses she/her pronouns and refers to herself as a woman so she's a woman
yeah there was a certain bug....
Those are suggestions on what to do next i think no?
if you say otherwise maybe you should check yourself
I dont think he would survive that encounter
idk what that means
having done a very tiny amnount of blacksmithing in my life, yeah, you don't want to make the person with a hammer and big fire mad
She would snap him like a branch
For a brief moment I forgot I had asked the question of "Have you checked?" and I was very confused why you were telling me to "check myself".
I took it to mean as in the "before you wreck yourself" variety.
it was both
Clever
Also whats the deal with the weird dams with faces on em that turn water into black goo
That's an https://wiki.avakot.org/Ode'n_Moaner
well those are the Moaners that pump out Ichor and pollute the rivers
The Ode can only live on Ichor. It is essentially their lifeblood. So in order to live on Alca (and conquer it), they must pollute the planet with Ichor
Oh I just got the Ode'n Odin connection just now
I hadn't heard it said out loud enough I guess and was pronouncing it differently in my head
wait what is the Ode'n Odin connection?
Just how its pronounced
Its pronounced the way Odin is, I imagine not unintentionally.
But I was pronouncing it
Oh-dee-in
In my head
Yep this is how it's pronounced by DE and in-game too
...Oden is also a Japanese word isn't it?
Soup
...We're being invaded by Soup
Y'know what sure
Soup wearing armour
That's what we headcanon the Ode as now
wait gang we established that Saphene is in the morning right?
and Mora is the afternoon?
they feel pretty solid to hit tho, we need to warm up the soup with mora's hand
but the maestro description says that the cardinals sing their morning song to wake up Mora 💀
Waaait this explains why their helmets are just big, deep, empty bowls
Synod really was made to dunk oreos in, huh
Saphene is the afternoon we thought?
pretty sure ye
oh fr? nvm then
No yeah saphene is the morning
I got that 3 times and then you confirmed @viral prism earlier on, when you got Mora in afternoon #spoiler-chat message
Intriguing
i'll see again i have day in 7 minutes
also researching Iridis again. I found maybe that the people of soulframe would honor the dead by making a special gemstone called a Tear of Iridis
alright yes Mora Rises right after Iridis i think i was wrong and thought it was mora
Oo so you got Mora at dawn this time?
yeah i got mora this time but i think i might have been wrong the first time and it was saphene instead
Is it possible it alternates
Definitely possible yeah, going to try and keep a close eye on it over the next day or so and see how it goes
wait i want Atajan immediatly in the game...
i just found out about him
also do we know how many rings Iridis has?
cause Virdigris is his Innermost ring
heck yeah he looks amazing and he'll come with such cool content, the combat arts rework, order of the gyres lore, maybe an update to the moon's watch tower, etc
I don't think we have an official answer, you can kind of make out 3/4 distinct bands but he's described as having 'many halos' and I don't think they'd use the word 'many' if it's just three or four
honeslty we be having so much Iridis lore... can we also please get my girl Saphene some lore too 😭
She has a wife, started a war, had a baby who is the moon with said wife, and had an argument with her wife that almost destroyed Alca
That's a good start right?
damn that's true...
But yeah we know very little of her followers atm
Iridis has Atajan, respect from the Salz, etc
Mora has her Clan Jotar
But almost nothing is yet known about Saphenes followers
dark brotherhood / thieves guild type of syndicate maybe 👀
(i know those are two very different groups but they're alike in their secretiveness)
How long before I generally get a new weapon type? The 1h sword is fun, but are great swords and polearm a long way away?
Erm how the frick am I suppose to kill this deer
well, weapons are usually just farmed from any chest. I don't exactly know all the droptables but low level stuff is in there. Otherwise you can get weapon fragments from enemies, bosses, organs, Tales, Sieges, Faction shop, Collector
polearms i think are easily gotten but greatsword do have a bit of a grind behind them
pure skill
Do we have anything about Silent Rose being connected to Saphene? Or are they just kind of connected by proxy, on account of them being sneaky saboteurs?
Seems the latter
they don't mention saphene no
so i guess there is only one thing to do... fight the deer, learn his moves, gain more skill and win
Having to fight the girl all over again when you know youre gonna die 100 times
they are not that hard though
you just gotta dodge and occasionally swing your sword in between
or shoot your bow
Idk how to doge apparently
you can roll with F i think
Fine ill try and come back crying
keep dodging and if you see a window of attack (usually there is a pattern), swing you sword.
Alrighti got a good beginning for my lore spreadsheet. I have only looked for anything Mora, Saphene, Iridis and his sons related
gonna fill it up with Fey lore a next time XD gonna go to bed
gonna rewatch some of the Envoy hours too for more info
awesome sounds good, share any more interesting nuggets you find! I'll try and keep everything up to date on the wiki for fellow envoys, still catching up on some P13 stuff especially the Medis lore from the Organs, there's a lot of good info now so worth checking everything with many pairs of eyes 🫡
Visit Eternium
does soulframe do wipes? My story progress has been wiped
Last one was P6 to P7, no more are planed.
thanks for the reply. Appriciate it
I'm trying to explore further east on the map and running into this door I can't open.
Is this me being locked behind story progression?
lever on the left side
yknow...probably should've seen that
thank you haha
no problem lol
I have Garren Rood available to research but it looks like the materials are Tier 2 compared to what I have. Iron instead of steel, etc. Is there a reliable way to farm these in the first couple zones to unlock the pact?
Scrap Iron is randomly dropped by the weapon racks, you can find some in Fort Curlail, or in dungeons.
That I know of there is no difference for those other than RNG.
So I might as well just play and progress towards other stuff until I have what I'm looking for on the other 2, then farm out the iron that I still need left. Thanks!
Anytime you see avakot selling those items, especially quartz buy all you can
Wiki has drop sorces for all the materials.
where can i find the npc's for faction rep? idk where to go
Thankyouu
Hi , What can I do to get in and play?
Im so confuses that there are gods and fairies, and fairies with the powers of gods -_- This is a bit weird.
Yep the cheap stuff is from barrels
Iron and steel are from basically all weapon racks?
But the forts and glades come to mind
Non golden glowing chests tend to drop gossamer quartz.
I mean the Fey in this world just get their magick from the Deities
The magicks itself originate from the gods and the Fey are just really good at using it
Not sure what they looked like though
I joined a group, we fought stag won. And now im trapped on the otherside of the map i havent explored yet and I have to run all the way across the map to get back to my quest?
You can ask a player near the starting zone to invite you for a taxi over
going to Eternal Garden and leaving will place you on the western side of the map, close to Fort Curlail.
How much standing we get for 1 piece?
Depends on which enclave you give it to
Just trying to track down that info for the wiki rn
Here is the Kith example, dunno yet for the other Enclaves wiki is now up to date
Drackore can we reasonably assume the face on the Sineculum resembles the face of the Ode?
Also new tree mentioned
doesn't really look like a ode face to me
Is it just me or now the characters' faces look more mature? While I would have given them a 20 age old look before, they now look 30-35.
any stats to the new bow avex? is it 3 star?
It is!
Heavy attack is a melee over arrow rain too
Nice where does it drop?
from organs
In general yes, that's my impression as well but there is one of the options that is younger looking.
Also faces are up for another rework, this time based on the original faces.
It's really weird to me because it looks more like a medallion of mora, I don't like it
feels un-ode, but it is described as being a sinecure insignia
lmao yeah new tree dropped
I need more courage to weild the polearm I just researched. I understand equipping a different virtue is how to do this, but is there a guide with were those virtues are found?
From the associated Faction.
They also sell upgraded Talismans (+6 to the Virtue).
You can also invest in the Pact Arts.
Courage = Kith of Kings.
Spirit = Alca's Children.
Grace = Silent Rose.
Hybrid Prisms are found in both the enclaves they represent (Knight O'Paladine is in both Kith and Alca).
Great! So I just need to figure out how to farm levels in kith of kings then, and that'll let me get my polearm swingin. Thanks!
There is a guide yes 😄 it's here https://wiki.avakot.org/Virtue_Prisms
...DE what is this?
UHHHHH
the sinecure's personal insignias are Mora? ?!?!?
Ode former Alcans theory confirmed??????
Yeah either that or all the Sinecure are spellsung
It'd make a lot more sense if this were a typo and it's meant to be the personal insignia of a fallen Dendrit soldier, or soldier of Clan Jotar
right now I feel uneasy about this lmao
That's literally red overlayed and more gold on accents 😭 and also Mora
I will hope that's just a placeholder for now
I'm hoping either this, or a mistake, or if it IS intended then we need a significant lore drop pronto because this is huge for it to be so small (if that makes sense)
i see.. mmhh
like.. yeAH, definetly. if that's intended thats big big
I'm looking to get higher power virtues from kith of kings but I'm not clear on how to actually get standing. The wiki says to complete the sparrow's tale quest but I'm not sure where that is or how to proceed with it.
Disregard I found what I missed
Gotta get this dang amulet apparently
Wait no I have that?
This game sure is selective with information.
Sparrow tales are now votives and you get them from world trees
I see it! Thank you!
i personally think the ode that have those took them as trophies
like the seed and scrolls
it switches between male and female
faces are getting a complete rework
but also you have different faces to choose from too ofc
but ye there were some issues with the current faces that made them decide they'll revert to the old 2 faces and ones based on those
like something didn't work properly iirc
If I wasn't meant to jump they wouldn't have made the floor so entertaining
Gravity binds me needlessly
Joking aside there are a fair few things this game gets wonky but a fair few more I'm finding it gets right. It doesn't hold your hand as much as modern games, which I love, but I do think there are a couple things that could probably at least use a pinky or two more
ye some stuff will get better explanations and tutorials as they become more solid
instead of being under the threat of a rework/deletion
Votives I like the concept of a lot
But sure do wish someone in game told me about em :p
ye i like how they work now too that you don't need to go to a world tree anymore at the end of a tale, just to pick up your first one
No. Ode mocking Fenn confirmed.
Interesting, the VO still says Aurora but the text has changed
You get told about them when you visit any Enclave leader now!
mmm probably haven't gotten around to re-recording the voicelines
Yeah I assume so, that does confirm it's a name-change and not two different characters tho
ye
Yeah I always wondered what they'd do with the " 'Rora " in his Sparrow's Tale voiceovers as well, til they removed voiceovers completely
is it just gonna be "Alora" now or is avocado gonna shorten it to "Lora"
" 'lora's" name I assume
They still will need to completely rewrite the entry for the origin of her name in the world tree notes. Cause it makes sense for "Arora" but not for "Alora".
mmm
This one. It doesn't make sense anymore.
a yeee
Extremely flimsy.
Unless we get some extra context that whoever spoke the name had a speech impediment or something...
true... Aurora kinda made sense but I like Alora more tbh
maybe in soulframe terms Alora = Aurora?
We'll need some info outside of the one world tree entry to suggest that.
Within the context of that line, Aurora made perfect sense. That's what we call "dancing lights in the sky".
maybe it's fey word for Aurora? but yeah we need more clarification
Can everyone get to 18 or just Fey pact people?
I think Paragons should be able to get there without Fey
Yeah. If DE can provide lore to such effect that it's commonly used on Alca, or amongst the Fey then it would make sense. Or if they just mention the person misspoke, but she liked it and took on the name...
Seeing some people say they know folks without Fey who hit 18
There's some saying they can't though
Guessing some location names being almost impossible to get consistently like Mirifuir might be skewing things
At least Gath isn't still 5 fragments...
Deer lord..
