Speaking of quests
I wish that looking in the Journal showed me which extra Virtue I accepted when talking to each of the Omen Beasts
ngl.... it would be a good idea to have the points you get from a choice be a point you can alocate by your own. You now have the base prism values and then you can add the points from the quest onto them. That would maybe help with the people that struggle with this update because their highly specific build isn't in the game anymore.
How do I find the new bear fight at night?
Search around the Ichor areas and see if it spawns in. The stag and the bear share spawns
Gotcha, tyty
Also some places might spawn in like a pool of ichor. You can also hear growls coming from them
any tips for starting the new miniquests? I feel like I've been exploring lots
waiting on gear to finish but gonna try em once I level it
https://wiki.avakot.org/Mistress_of_the_Thread now has a full walkthrough, though idk if there's any guides yet for the other two - I'll be working on their wiki pages over the next couple days but hopefully someone can help who's done those 😄 I can tell you though that the other two are located in Kairness and Skelfies
Extremely clutch! Thanks a ton
A secret spotted....new quest coming soon? ||Orlick was hinted at having a new quest and I managed to see someone come across this with no idea what it was||
Where did someone find that?
behind it looks most like a respawn shrine, question is which one
my first guess is the one near the college
and it was not
I happened to catch it on a new player’s stream. Clipped it because they were confused (and I was curious) and I snapped a screenshot of it. The exact location I’ll have to double check.
a noob which means we could narrow it down to the shrines in the starter zone
For context though, they were doing the An Invitation quest and they read the note from Avakot, but then right next to it was that note. They clicked it and it popped up and disappeared super fast but the intro caught my attention otherwise I wouldn’t have even batted an eye.
to which faction
Children of Alca.
i can vaguely see a tree in the back so that eliminates shrines facing rocks or other plain stuff
which includes the one outside hilly-den
I’m logging in via steam deck so I’ll find it. Gimme a few.
and yet the invitation quest starts outside hilly-den...
It was the respawn stone right next to Lummins. However, my being there doesn’t have anything. Part of me thinks that it’s supposed to trigger immediately after the An Invitation quest for new players, but may need to do something else for older players. But since it’s not technically implemented yet regardless, not much we can do on it.
Maybe.
Hmm... Yeah. Tried looking over there and nothing.
I was watching this on discord and said you guys have to see this too it’s really cool and funny if it work fully cuz it can be equipped and shoots but it’s ‘disappear, quick. صل على رسول الله محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم
Where is this note?
Oh this is the Tuvalkane note
Not new, but I don't think it shows up if you've already done her quest, the blasting he's talking about is the device digging out the helmet
Level ranges for the Votives on the World Trees, might be incomplete, just did one pass.

Is there a way to make sure the faction tale vadagar stag spawns?
Or do i just ignore it for now
it must be night
If you start the tale at daytime, does the stag spawn as soon as it becomes night then?
Nice, thanks!
what region gives you 30-40? I am still searching for a tree that gives me that level range but i don't know where it is?
Should be northeast I believe
Always had been the higher level area
damn I am at the creedance high tree. mmh maybe i am unlucky and all my tales just spawn more under the tree so the level becomes lower
The one near Wyndoun, and the one near Creedance High.
Creedance High has slightly higher levels, but both should fall under the 30-40 range for the final step.
Would we have a hotfix this week?
Most likely, possibly even later today.
First week after a patch is usually full of hotfixes.
not today since it's a holiday in canada
It's a provincial holiday
In Ontario
oh now i found on google
is there a tier 3 spirit based armor available?
The Wazzard set
looks tier 2 in the shop
Rarity is showing as 2, but it seems to scale very similar to a tier 3, not sure why
Would hazard to guess its probably either a visual bug that its only showing two when its actually a 3. Same for the new dual blades its showing as a 1 but has the stats of a 2 star
Uh?
Who?
Fenn Jotar i guess?
I meant, who hates him?
ah 🤷♂️
He kind of did some Bad Stuff after the Cassid Invasion
His people went and burned a bunch of towns and people, and he just decided to ignore it.
Basker's Wrest description make it sounds like he was powerless to stop it.
But it wouldn't likely make that much of a difference to the families of burned people.
He at the very least blames himself
And said he turned a blind eye
been told to not ask for codes here. check the pinned messages in #envoy-gathering for info on how to get access
Sorry
just two skeletons chillin
I love the new staff so much! I thought it would be overloaded with effects, but it turns out I like the sound and the rainbow beam!🌈
Why does Avakot call his Empress Rora? Isn't that strange? And the merchant Avakot the same one? In my localization, his name is Sprout Avakot, and I assumed he was his son.
Nothing quite like swinging around a barnicle-encrusted glass sphere of seawater.
-# the sloshing noises are great 😄
I had the same with mage set. I thought it would be ugly. But when I put it on, it be the best looking mage set in the game... not that there are many of.
Just gotta hide that weird hat
The robes are dope AF.
Need me a proper pointed, wide-brimmed, wizard hat.
I def want the robes but getting them to drop is another story
I hear ice in the glass, lol
I gave up and bought them and the new magic weapons the other day. I'm not waiting months for them to drop. Bad enough I've been not getting my gath drops for over a year now.
I can live a while longer without yet-another-melee weapon, but I'm a mage by choice, a warrior only when I have to be. I need that mage loot.
The drop rate is terrible. I farm three days in groups with many people in the chat to get almost all the parts and the staff from 3х orders. I just need the legs... but now I only get the hat and robe.
This. I call purple mockers aggressive battle mages, lol. I thought they were mages because of the hat.
Yeah, I'm still surprised that armor set isn't more spirit-focused than it apparently is.
I’m being stubborn when it comes to the wazzard gear. I know the team will adjust drop rates after I buy it…so I’ll hold off for now.
Yeah, I don't blame you. If it were warrior or archer or thief gear, I'd do the same.
I really like it. It's so unusual. It's another mystery, why it's not Wazzard's set. I want that book in front eyes!
I hope they figure out how to add dual bonus reqs to things so that we can qualify for virtue bonuses via more than one path on gear. Without that, everything feels waaaay too narrow.
With it, things like the mockery set become viable for mages AND archers, and it's just so much better
The Dewellion would be availible to mages then too, which would be awesome.
There's something odd about mages in general. Considering the default character in all the trailers uses a staff and Oscelda, in game practically no equipment for mages and definitely no pacts.
Tethren and oscelda work great on my spirit build.
One upside to the recent changes is that weirdly pacts feel less virtue-specific now.
Outside of like, Orengall, because it both allows for a kind of stealth and because its howl now grants grace
but for courage and spirit pacts, they're a lot more interchangeable IMO
Really tethren would probably work great on a dwellion grace build as well. Tethren is just awesome.
It's like warframe's Rhino: more damage, more defense, less trying to deal damage directly, and more utility so our weapons shine brighter.
I dont have the third pendant even though I completed it and the game said I got it
1 - It's a holdover from when Alora used to be named Aurora (or 'Rora for short) back until they renamed her with Founders in Nov 2025.
2 - Yep, Avakot is Avakot no matter where he sprouts up! Same guy - he just offers enclave-specific stuff when you visit him in the enclave
Alora, the Empress of Eldveil. Fey Empress of the Sproutfolk, she has seemingly abandoned her wards. They patiently await her return.
Hi folks, quick question. Do I need to be fairly established account wise to tackle the Organ content before I go looking for it?
It shouldn't be overly difficult.
The north one is easier iirc.
But if you can kill enemies between lvl 20-30 it should be doable.
Gotcha, thanks. Is this content in a static spot?
Yeah, there are three places.
Just to verify, I first free the animals at the bottom, then climb up the elevator and stop the person by the dials? Is that the Organ encounter or is there more to do?
thats basically it ye
Free the Animals, Open the grates at the bottom of the tower so the animals can climb inside, wait for the Organ to open and kill the Banneret, break the 4 parts of the core and climb up, kill the conductor, use the Organ to break all the glowing parts on the outside.
Ah, thank you, I was missing that last step.
Didn't think I could play the machine lol
np
And now I keep repeating this to try and get the wizard gear I reckon.
pretty much yeah. i heard its like 3 hour cooldown for each tower
Ah I see, that makes sense.
- this is an english-only server (rule 2)
- don't beg for keys (#envoy-gathering message)
But he is her subject. So it's the same as if the English called Queen Elizabeth "Hey, our Roro-."
Yep that's right! We used to call her 'Queen Liz', so it fits right in. With Alora it also makes you wonder what kind of ruler she was, how she treated the sproutfolk and other beings, etc. And with the fact that DE have told us to fear her / not trust her makes it even more interesting 👀
Wow, that's interesting
. I just had a theory that Avakot thinks of her as a sister, and I thought that was interesting case. Where from the information that she's a villain? All I know about her is the video from the Founders trailer, where she was really angry. And as far as I understand, saving her in the future is our goal. It would be funny, if she wanted to remain captive to destroy Ode from within but we ruin her plan.
Where from the information that she's a villain?
It's mostly from this line in the '2026 roadmap' poem https://discord.com/channels/998758139405029478/1466905141968896225:
"Fear the Fey who speaks in threes"
We know this refers to Alora as it's the same wording used in Jennifer English's voice actress reveal:
"I had the strangest dream, you see. Of a faerie who spoke in threes."
And then in the 10th Feb Envoy hour, Sydney made more of a point about not trusting the Fey who speaks in threes, though I can't remember her exact phrasing
And there's the Founder trailer like you say, where she crushes a spirit guide, and says 'betray me again' - either to the player, or to the Wyld Fey / Wyld Envoys (we still don't know what Wyld Tethren etc are meant to be sadly since they changed from the Primordials)
It would be funny, if she wanted to remain captive to destroy Ode from within but we ruin her plan.
Hahaha yeah that would be a really interesting twist!! I still wonder why we can't trust her, we have a shared enemy with the Ode, so we've gotta work together to save Alca but then there's a history of conflict between human and Fey so who knows
Maybe it nothing to do with us? I mean, we're their relatives. And we have three classes, three covenants, and all that. We're changelings and their relatives.
True maybe it's the Ode who are meant to fear her! Just like they should fear us
what a bug why my weapon not 5 star scalling when i use blessing iradis
where does the bear spawn at night?
i just need a code T.T
you can get one guaranteed from next tuesdays envoy hour stream via twitch drops
tks
Can u do the triune talisman pieces back-to-back? Or is there a cooldown?
1 (in-game) day cooldown.
But you can do Dusk and Dawn sequentially since the day changes inbetween.
Midnight tends to be finicky.
Im 99 percent sure i did it back to back in p12
There's also Murifuir, which has lore that there was some point at which Fey and Humans had an alliance. What we're lacking is just why that fell apart.
Is the waste bear the current stand still of the main story? If so what do I do after. If not how do I start the next part of the story?
Waste Bear is the last quest implemented (if you don't count the mini-quest).
It is not necessarily the end as there is not a strict sequence.
Did you do Shewolf Snared?
I don’t think so
So I think im doing it rn and the wolf appeared but i think it went into the ground. And I cant find or interact with it
Try relogging, if this is just after freeing her it is normal, she will show up again later.
Ok relogging worked ty
Are there any rewards or unlocks for the new quests?
Dracs. 🤣
Remember that mockery husk that we all wondered why it was laying there in the undercity at the end of on possible path of the light puzzel in the multi-level room with the water wheel? Well, it's ALIVE! er... UNDEAD!
I just thinking about something. Ode not interest in rats. They catch only forest animals, but we have rats. And considering that all animals seem to be intelligent, turns out so we have rat-spies. I think that would make a cool story.
They catch rats, too.
From the week of playing I didn’t see no one cage with rats.
Play longer. A week isn't really enough time. But welcome aboard.
Yeah, I was about to say the rat cages are pretty rare! And I've being playing since Preludes 9 iirc... But maybe is just a Mandela Effect xD
can i enter this? this is inside a dungeon. the 2 deer statue was wraped by the roots
(putting this here just in case it might be spoiler in any way)
okay.. so had a thought.... They mentioned that later we would be able to upgrade our pacts into the Wyld versions through some sort of fey ritual in the future, maybe through Empress Alora? I was thinking that what if the Ode Tempest pact got an Wyld version? given that it would be through some fey ritual, would the Wyld Tempest pact be broken off from the Oden and give it a more natural look to it? Maybe the spheres would be like thunderstones or something instead of the metal spheres the Oden use.
I dunno man my brain is BUZZING with ideas
Destroy the moaners around this place. Look up a little, sometimes are up. That should destroy the roots...
omg thank u, i got it
Step 1: Turn off fog.
Step 2: destroy moaner.
Step 3: re-kill mockeries.
Step 4: Look at the murals in the side rooms.
Step 5: Turn the statues to match the murals.
Step 6: Loot the chest in the room after the door opens.
we really need some sorta light source in the game lmao
- fog turned off
- moaner destroyed
- mockeries dead
- murals weird
- statues wont match murals
- now stuck with statue position puzzle
(me dumb)
Try taking a screenshot of the mural on the left, and one of the mural on the right.
Faces towards door.
Faces to the right.
It's the direction of the deer's head in the murals.
ok i understand it now a bit, thanks a lot dude
you can also use Spirit Sight
Doesn't work on those ones.
Doesnt do anything for the mural puzzles outside of the torment stag quests ones
i tried the sight but didnt work
Nop
ooooh
No. This is for the loot room inthe glades.
well still basically uses the same thing. just face it like the mural
still think the murals should have been damaged in some way to FORCE you to use the Sight
Anyhow... understaning the murals is fairly easy. just face toward the mural and aim/block towards it. Back up out of the nook/side room, and strafe over to the statue. Make the statue face the way the deer mural was looking.
Repeat for the other one.
To be fair, the murals in the Garren Rod tale were not working to solve it. I tried because i was unaware you could use the spirit sight to solve it. iirc, the heads in spirit sight do not match the murals in that tale in particular.
It would be nice if they added the spirit sight to the loot room ones. They had it way back when, but removed it at some point.
yeah i need more uses for the Spirit Sight mechanic than smite and highlighting loot
Most of the puzzles have it highlight the puzzle pieces.
maybe have walls that can be broken or opened have a rune or something on it that can only be seen in the Sight, kinda like how the Circade has the three runes you gotta kill the boss next to
Doens't even need a rune. Could just be something like spirit sight makes glowing cracks appear.
Anyhow... I neeed to get some rest. Take care.
can this be open?
If it can't break with attacks, I belive it can't be open, no...
that would be a no
no its just blocking the way cause dungeons are randomized so that is basically a connection point to another tile
not even that
This doorway is never a connecting tile, I think canonically it's the back entrance to the Drippin' Flagon in Salzbrim (hence the tankard displayed on the wall above)
It'd connect to the Undercity door that you see in the Rose Enclave but can't go through - it's either an abandoned idea by the devs, or an upcoming way to sneak out via the Undercity, or maybe it's just there as worldbuilding to explain how the Rose get around undetected
It might also just be a generic boarded up tavern from back when the Undercity was inhabited and have nothing to do with the undercity door in the enclave - two separate taverns
find that 2nd option more likely considering there's an old tavern in Terpeth District too
how do you do the highest level faction quests? is 30 it? I saw a chart that had up to level 50 but the stuff in NE is only 30ish
can't currently get tales at 40+, so the NE is the highest we can do rn
bummer. where does the new bear boss spawn? night only right?
same places stag can show up, and yeah night only. also tales, but tales are a bit buggy rn
Also stag can vanish when it gets day. I was in the middle of the fight and it just despawned
feels weird we have to choose cogah or faction rep and can't earn faction rep other than tales.
That coward!
I might have to leave soulframe forever if I could eventually get to the point where 1 mission capped my daily tho...
Are there no tales in Cogah?? Damn that is a shame
No way a tale would give 20k rep 💀
level 1,000 faction tales
do you let the demons win when you play doom?!
Mannn we over here with a sword and a birb! We not the doomslayer 😂 😂
Although
Romp stomp 😂 😂 😂
odeslayerguy
John soulframe the odeslayer
Hello
hello
Is there supposed to be a boss fight in organ? What am I doing wrong
I feel like I recall that
there's a boss when you open the doors, but no ultimate boss at the end
Gotcha
@tawdry mantle
he was born ready
Fun to see devs get in game and say funny things like this in chat. lol
Hello! Please see server rule #2 and keep the conversation to English.
Sent a DM so we can speak in portuguese
Dont ask for keys here.
You can get one from the stream on 24th as a twitch drop
what channel
PlaySoulframe is the channel
Gotta link your twitch to your soulframe account jsyk
merry go round says I'm too tall to ride
sees Spirit of Ichor quest
30 minutes until night
It's still worth taking it to see if it works rq, it's like a 50/50 or so for the spawn point to be there and they pop up during the day
Does anybody have details on how exactly the Cogah talismans "get better"? Is it worth investing in these?
Okay, I'm sorry
It seems that for now the "evolution" of this talismans while doing the Cogah still not work as a mechanic. Maybe is something they'll implement in the future (?)
I saw someone got some parts of it working for their cogah grind, but the virtue scaling doesn't really go up
Do you even get wazzard set from the Organ ? i am almost at my 16th run of the organ and not a single frag has dropped (before and after patch btw)
It's still bugged rn but worse, yeah
yeppp
I belive the faction vendors premium item
"Gildaur: Blessed by ..."
Changes every now and then
When does it change and is there a mechanic for knowing what it will change to?
It does not, it changes based on which Faction you're with. kith always sells Blessed by Mora, Rose Blessed by Sapphene, and Children Blessed by Iridis.
Avakot's Gots also sells Blessed Joineries, and that does rotate along with the rest of his shop every 2 hours.
are there any shortcuts getting from the mendicant king area to the spider boss without using a seed?
@rich ingot my avacado is selling me blessed by mora 😉
Where is he?
That's Avakot's Gots, not the Faction Shop
Those Joineries would be for Arcs, not Faction Rep
Ah then i rephrase my question, does the joinery for arks change, if so when
Yes, once every 2 hours along with the rest of his goods
His shop contents are also synced across all player worlds
So if he's selling Scrap Brass, all players will be able to buy his Scrap Brass, not just you
That being said; His Blessed joineries are bought for Premium Currency, so most consider it best to not buy from him and either farm faction rep or farm the joineries directly via bosses
You can get from Stroaic to the enclaves by entering the eternium instance selection screen and then leaving - however getting further north I think your best bet is just sprinting whilst asking for a taxi in chat
whats the most efficient way to farm standing with avacados?
I will also add that he doesnt have them in shop most of the time. I see it very rarely.
I really hope they make that thing part of a cool puzzle.
oh super agreed. every time I find a functional puzzle in this game I'm delighted. and every time I find something that could or should be a puzzle and it kinda doesn't do anything, I am so sad
Same as farming standing with the other factions. Do 3 star missions in high level area.
Is there currently a way to see who ??? is in-game? Like triggering a cutscene? I know it's ||Alora because I saw the announcement w/ Jennifer English and that promo around the Game Awards that showed her trapped in the cage||, I was just wondering if there's something in the game's story so far. Do I have to get all the trees?
Oh and in a similar vein, I did 2 of those Ocarina statues to get those beautifully drawn flashback cinematics. Is there a third one yet? I keep trying statues but they just give me the usual rewards. Is there something I have to do first?
yeah there are 3, the wiki map has em marked
Ah, specific ones, gotcha, ty
you get a bow too
Oh right! Forgot I was getting its fragments
non cogah? which spider boss ? or both?
generally people missing the one in front of grandfa grass hut
The flashbacks are WIP. Just the storyboards for the eventual actual cinematics.
-# (i personally think they should stay tbh)
I'd rather have the more proper ones that might be interactive, as DE mentioned way back when...
Wouldn't mind a mix of both
Like maybe we have the current ones, then actual interactive cutscene ones
ohhh I really like the old school cinematics ❤️
but, well, I'm a ghoulie weirdo who likes playing games from 1998
like buddy you could put a Myst like literally a grainy video tape of just some guy and' I'd be like "yay!"
3 what exactly?
Juniper statues
Found this in Roods, cant interact with it. Does anyone know what is this?
It's a random mushroom
Seemingly at the wrong scale, missing the collider and interact scripts.
Someone probably just added the model asset there by mistake
Supershroom
ty, thought its related to a quest or something
got the same bug and reported on "bug-tracking"
what in the, imagine that as your apartment (hut???) deco lol
A thought from outer space: Aurora, Mother, and the Inquisitor are the same person. I hope not, I don't want the story of Lotus 2.
I got a Maestro (Thawtide bow) fragment after defeating an Agari, are all the Thawtide fragments acquireable through different events and bosses? I ask because I am still really bummed about missing out on farming for Rostrum
I'm getting vibes that Alora isn't really a friend, but moreso using us
our goals align but she doesn't actually care
but I am very new and I just barely finished the quests
Alora is a baddie.
Alora is Fey, with everything that entails, not our mother or the inquisitor though
My understanding after the Bromius fable, I thought that "betray me again" is because we already betrayed her when indoctrinated by the Ode and delivering her (as the seed) to Synod...
I also think the arm is just the first stage, and when we're in power prime, the pact will cover the entire body. I hope not, again, very Warframe.
I don't know if the Envoy specifically betrayed her or she's talking about the ancient betrayal by the first Envoys during the Felling
Also not sure if the sap dream is a past event or a possible future one, considering the sap is meant to give future dreams
I'm still inclined to think that Bayor is us in the past. And that wolf is a wolf from a cage. So Nightshade really did die. Nightling. I really don't want a story about an evil twin brother -_-
What also confused me was that the wolf wasn’t at all against it and was happy to see her owner.
Did the one who took Nightling had also a envoy arm? I do not remember from the cinematic T_T
The pup doesn't know Bayor is bad it's a pup, it's just happy it's being pet
I'm still inclined to think that Bayor is us in the past
But you meet and hear Bayor in Shewolf Snared when he kidnaps Nightling
And also Sydney told us that Bayor is a 'mirror to the player envoy' so it makes sense if he's an envoy who hasn't escaped that dark path, whereas we have
I thought it was like the vision with Acorn. And I hope, without alternative timelines.
Yes, they told us some (but not all lol) of the new drop sources in the patchnotes:
The acorn vision was when you were high on sap, but I don't think you were high on anything during Shewolf Snared?
The armor is not, only the weapons, so you can get Rostrum still but will have to wait until Thawtide at the end of the year for the armor/talisman/bird skins
the mega shroom. we are soon going to get gnomes.
It's still a mystery to me why the wolf wasn't afraid of him.
Man I fr don’t remember this guy. I gotta replay it again. I even watched someone else play it and still don’t remember this moment when we meet Bayor
Either I genuinely have bad memory or I somehow close my eyes whenever he gets mentioned
https://wiki.avakot.org/Tempest_Bayor has pretty much everything about him, there's not much info for now
An Envoy servant of the Ode, responsible for capturing the player Envoy as a child.
If you go onto his quotes at the bottom it might ring more of a bell
You can replay shewolf tbf, that's his first appearance other than the juniper memories
oh and you can replay juniper memories in journal 😄
Yeah I really should 😂
probably what howl said #spoiler-chat message
Le2831420!
But Nightling knew what happening to her. As Orengall said, her daughter was cunning and she warned her mother about the enemies.
That was Ciar warning about the enemies no?
Hmm...I remember all the wolves asking for help. But only at the end, when Orengall heard the howls, she say, "My daughter is weak but cunning, she's warning us that the enemies are ready. " And there's a tank.
Cunning for a wolf pup sure, aware of what was happening and who Bayor is? Doubtful
awesome! I really just wanted the Rostrum anyways
I'm so worried the developers will abandon the idea of a unique universe and just collaborate everything with Warframe. That would be a disaster for me.
Dont really see why they'd do that
I think they may have just woke up from a bad dreamm
that i can see
The plot is just very Warframish. Again the same mother-children relationship, again the caged triune goddess-mother, again the evil doppelganger. And then bam – it's all a prequel to Duviria, the technocyte was invented by fairies and everyone died out, some ended up on Earth and remained under the Siberian ice.
sure it might be like... in that kind of way similar but it's still wildly different
considering afawk our own mother's long gone
Wyldly different indeed
There are some repeating themes sure but I would not really consider the Envoy's mother to be at all similar to the Lotus or Bayor to be similar to Wally, and I don't think Alora is meant to be motherly at all
man i really want Bayors armor ngl
If anything Alora seems like a ***** to me for some reason
Another bot on this one
Need mount or put teleport free
Eh. I think it looks extra-goofy.
What's weird is the change to "Alora". Especially since now, that line in the world tree about why she has the name doesn't make sense.
Yeah, the name is nice but if they're going to retcon they need to do it thoroughly, the 'dancing skies' line needs removing as do all of Avakot's 'Aurora/'Rora' lines
Wonder what prompted that change
Mounts are coming in future updates, the wolf pups will eventually grow and be rideable
Maybe the voice actor had troubles saying "aurora"? Maybe they just wanted something more fanciful sounding?
probably to split up the similarities with 'kot saying "in 'Roras name do we tend this plane"
and the ode's "in Rorca's? name"
but then again who knows. the magic of actively-being-developed games
but even for kots line it doesn't exist anymore since there's no enclave specific ending quips to tales anymore
im pretty sure they are actualy say by rogath's name
Hard to tell what the ode are saying 99% of the time. They need to enuciate better to overcome the sound of talking with a bucket over their head.
Heyy
Would help if we had a subtitles option.
hello.
What's up
the helm yeah, i mostly just want the chest and legs to go with Ode Tempest
If you ever wondered what does the middle spinning mechanism in Organ does when you destroy it, here you go 🙂
That opens up by destroying the Organ itself as far as I know.
it opens for me when i destroy that part
Undestroyed, and open.
Will try to see if destroying the generator opens it early, but if so that is new to this patch.
thats why i posted it, it opens it the moment you take down generator before even going to top floor
Yep, can confirm, it opens as soon as the generator is destroyed.
The fact that it also opens at event end might be a bug then.
maybe because we destroy it completely ?:)
🤷♂️
I reported it in any case.
Whaaaaat. Ahahaha. The chest really is hidden very good xD
30 organs in, never knew this existed
The chest was added with H4.
brother what??? Has that just been added?
seems like it
Sometimes i feel like there are too many people at the organ
JESUS CHRIST HAS THE GREAT ODE'N WAR BEGUN????
is that not normal?
Hard to see anything for the fog.
Less fog
thats liek 1/3 of them at the organ too
bro i am not getting so many of them XDDD
would of been atleast 100 mobs
The hollowing rune would make a great fire show
Cue Army Of Darkness explosive arrows vs skeletons.
So many runs and I have NEVER grabbed that chest 💀
Fun fact, when it is a wooden chest, it seems to use the Glades droptable (Orengall's Fang).
Can someone invite me to play?
Finally got my wazzard set only had to aquire like 14 erstroots
Castle Kreanhold (south), Fort Kreanhold (middle), and Mirifuir (north).
North-East swamp Tree has highest level Tales?
theres missing lvls
both the 2 NE trees have a slight chance of lvl 36-42 I think
Ive seen it before in p13
I know, just did a single pass.
But it does give the idea.
yeah
Wait 42?!? 👀
Nice.
Pretty sure there was a rmour of the SouthEastmost tree giving the level 40+ tales that give 1750 rep each
Not sure it was ever proven, though
Tomorrow i get my last virtue prismn, and also the last pact i need in the game, so excited :D
Does anyone know what this shroom is for?
Suspect it's a bug
I can't interact with it, looks like a bug indeed
every pic ive seen of a big shroom has always been next to that exact house it seems
Have you guys been getting the secret chests with every organ or am I the only one missing them?
Quests? No
Gear to farm? Yeah quite a bit
Maybe otengall's quest because sometimes people miss that one
They only got added last hotfix it seems
Since Videos are sorta frowned upon, here is a nice image that gets to the point right away.
Does anyone know what's with the giant mushroom in Roods?
Have you ever played Mario?
-_- i'm asking an actual question.
just a bug
It's either a bug, or a fun decoration.
Ohhhhh
Personally, I hope they add the other mushroom types to the corral at Roods and make all of those giant and uninteractable, too. Or add some to other locations. And just have them there for whimsical decoratin.
I've been breaking those but I thought I just wasn't getting loot from them, I didn't know they were opening something else
I dont think many ppl knew
Calling those chests loot is very generous tbh
1 moranite is 1 moranite
Do they not give anything?
I'm quite early game so I definitely appreciate it
Resources, not fragments
It just doesnt take long before they dont have anything usefull in it's lootpool
Hey, resources are loot. Maybe they could up the amount in those particular chests later on.
It's not like those chests are particularly hard to get
But yeah a little bit more resources never hurt
It's part of an event. They want people to do events, so giving an event a slightly better than usual resource gain might help beyond the "do this for wazzard gear" thing.
Yeah that would be nice
For now, they've got whatevr kind of chest there. In the future, it might be a unique chest.
Supposedly (as far as the wiki crew gathered) that chest type doesnt have much of a drop pool
Does anyone know why some of the areas are saturated in ichor? i assume thats what the area with the Wazzard and the stone towers are? Are those things that predate the ode or are they crashed skytowers that sort of "spilled" ichor into the area around them?
It's showing the extent of the ode terraforming/polution.
Ichor didn't exist on Midrath until the ode got here.
Ah, yes in the New Visci description it is talking about a fallen to (sky)tower
Its the towers i had trouble with, just wondered how they factored in
Ichor is what the ode are made out of. It's highly toxic in liquid and gaseous from to all Alcan life.
Similarly, clean water and fresh air are toxic to the ode.
That's why the doctor behind the Organ is dying. He went around without an ode helmet to filter the air. Similar to how humans taken to skytowers have to have a Brazen Lung to filter out the ichor air.
Yeah, those journal entries were interesting
So, whatever planet the Ode are from, humans wouldn't even consider it capable of life. Similar to how the Ode view Alca.
Due to the duality of the Fey and the Ode + Family references + lifestyles, I feel they may be split from the same race from a long time previous
We went home...
Nope. They're space aliens.
The Ode use the Spellsong to mind control people. They use it to make humans think the ode belong on Alca. Thus, the whole "family" lie.
The ode are actively also destroying any form of Alcan history they can locate. Any proof against the spellsong.
Anyone who suggest the ode come from Alca are lying to themselves and blatantly ignoring the lore. We have enough in-game to solidly nail that coffin shut.
nobody says the ode come from alca, but the sinecure aren't confirmed to be ode either
There are reasons
And taking ANY lore as fact right now is pretty foolish as it can change get ret-conned at any point
Many fantasy tropes, irl fey lore, things such as that
Especialyl since there are heavy Eldritch tones/themes
Incorrect. They can't drink water without ichor in it.
We did get spoilers of that pact arm right?
i mean i see a little bit of it, just not any that supports like supports them being former natives
At least concepts. It was skeletal witha bell
As the Organ notes point out, Ode physiology isn't compatible with Alca. They're trying to terraform the world so they don't have to alter themeselves to handle the planet.
Anything is possible at this point, but yeah, the lore I've seen has pointed to them just being aliens trying to gaslight the planet into accepting them.
Knowing DE though, I wouldn't be surprised if they pull a plot-twist later where they reveal they were from here originally.
And yeah, a lot of the lore points to a conquering faction
That is the funniest description of terraforming we've seen tbh
That was said as a corruption pact.
Glad ya like it, but i was being a bit literal
the whole spellsong and 'family' shenanigans is almost textbook gaslighting
magically enhanced, sure, but here we are
It's not refencing the terraforming. It's referenceing the spellsong/conquering/enslavement aspect.
True! Although, if the Ode had their way they'd all be dead soon.
We know Alcan's can't breathe Ode air.
That part reminds a lot of the Warframe bit, where Natah did her shenans with Tenno
Yeah DE clearly has some favorite psycological tropes they like to use
It's more like what Ballas did with the Narmer masks.
Do we have a timeline reference as to when the war happened and the mirifuir blessing?
Clearly it's what the Orokin did to the Warframes with the Transference Bolts
We have some bits and pieces of timeline. Fonnish charge that killed Mendicant and his men, thus creating the Knightmaidens. Some parts of the cassid invasion that Fenn stopped...
I gotta tell ya first time I did the second dream quest it blew my mind for sure.
Murifuir is said to have stood for a thousand years.
The Fey seems to have left sometime between the Quiet Years and the Fonnish Charge
Which leads me to believe the ones that left, that stayed, and the veil all have some relation to a factional split
I need to go through and get some screenshots of stuff involving the timeline and such. I have a few that I got moved to proper folders, but it'll be easier to just take more than sift through my folder of old screenshots.
Do we know of any that stayed aside for Alora?
We also don't know if they actually left.
No clue where Oscelda or Tethren are. We know Oscelda was of the Eldveil (possibly same as the veil), but no word where Sirin or Tethren COULD be
True, we only know they are no longer mentioned in the lore beyond a certain point in the timeline and have not appeared at all in the game.
We dont even know of Sirin and Tethren had fealty to Alora
They were given gifts by her, implying some positive relationship
Exactly. "Left" could just be that they decided to stop bothering with non-Fey events.
Not all gifts are rewards
Beware the fey that speaks in three
As Orlick more than likely got a Fey 'gift' in the form of his shoulder baby
Blue arm is a "gift" but people started distrusting magic users with such blue arms. Alca had its own witch hunts.
We know the Envoys are descendants of a Fey or Fey-blessed bloodline at least, yeah?
Wonder if that has implications for our bio father's status.
As we see in the Juniper fragments, it confers magical ability, but not neccisarily control. So it's possible that those without control could harm themselves, others, etc by not being able to control their magic. Like handing a toddler a chainsaw.
We don't know exactly. It's possible that Envoys may be randomly chosen.
They are blessed by the Fey, as our mama was a Knightmaiden but did not have the fabled blue arm, so either it skips generations (as it was on our gramps) or it is given purely by Fey
Alora does imply it's a descendant thing at least in the new tutorial
Could be related to either our father, or skip generations
Gramps may not be related to us.
Yeah, since gramps had it thats waht I meant by skipp gens
Grandfa was just an old dude who adopted us, not necessarily related by blood
Also leads to more questions about Bayor
Gramps is simply an older Envoy who rescued us from going over the waterfall and raised us. Thus, adoptive father/grandfather figure. Since he's older, we view him more as a granpa.
and just where he sits in the line of Fey gifts
That actually might be something worth discussing: do we have any sense of Bayor's age
Also, Doyen is specifically said to be our Grampa
The Juniper cinematics show him rescuing us from the river after the fall of Castle Kearnhold
It is also possible that Bayor is not an Envoy so to speak, meaning if they are Fey blessed ther eis more to their 'gifts' than blue bloods
People say he's the guy who captured us in the thrid juniper fragment.
So either he was our grandfather by Blood, and got incredibly lucky saving us, or he's just an Enviy outside our bloodline, imo.
I mean it could get retconned that he isnt our Gramps. Could happen
Gonna go look it up real quick
He is our Gramps, just not necessarily by blood
Ye, reinforcing my initial point of his role
And Bayor was the one who captured us
Exactly. Trust me, I'm adopted IRL. Adopted as a baby. You don't make distinctions when you've only known your adoptive family all your life.
What we're wondering is, could Bayor be our blood father
A Knightmaiden, as best we know, is not capable of springing a child forth without some intervention of another person
i've lowkey been dreading a darth vader type situation
Oh man. that would be a hella twist
I kinda doubt it. He might be maybe Gramps's actual son, though...
Our pops is going to be the 'stalker' like person of this game
Very possible
they've been way to hinty with the "dark mirror of the envoy" bit, it's possible
When Envoy and Bayor actually meet:
I theorize that Bayor was forced into a gift after Alora was captured,
But yeah, if it's a bloodline thing...it does make you wonder as to who sired the Envoy
i hope not but ehhhh... they'd really do it
'The Force' lmao
Imagine if the Envoys were all the direct children of the actual Fey lmao
Bayor was raised by the Ode though
So it stands to reason we are siblings in some way.
"Yeah, my mom the Knightmaiden got freaky with Oscelda"
"That's why I have a blue arm and can summon a flock of ghost birds"
Bayor, the paragon/betrayer
We don't know that. Could just be the helmet is akin to the dog helmets. Spellsong don't work on animals. But the ode are able to force it to work via the dog helmets.
Bayor's pact arm is also interesting:
In regards ot little Bayor lore we have:
*Their children raised in castles loft, made hunters grave of others not. - Doyen, Warsongs *
He MAY be Fey/Envoy or w/e, but was raised Ode
That doesn't specifically refer to bayor. Just people in general since the Ode invasion.
And aside from his in game pact arm above, his concept art shows him having Ode Tempest as a pact
It's possible Bayor was captured as we were.
We also don't know Bayor isn't Spellsonged, do we?
Like we were?
Or controlled the same way we were before we broke free?
The future sight seemd to indicate hesitation, so it is murky
though if he were spellsonged, unsure how theyd be aware of how/where to get a wevetseed for Synod
That's what I said. The helmet might be akin to the dog helmets. #spoiler-chat message
Same as how Deora knew how to corrupt Garren.
that was ichor doing the work, you could tell by the eyes
You're grasping at straws.
Bayor is hands down Ode raised, the only issue is his birth and relation to us
aside from being mainly our opposite.
Again, grasping at straws.
I mean, its basica storytelling and tropes.
IF you cant see that, you are just being adversarial for argument.
It is like saying
weeeeell orlick didnt get slapped by the fey
i just can't buy him being worthy of paragon if he was raised by the ode
Virtues are not solely or wholly 'good'
that's not it, it's being worthy of a weapon created by alora
Having a Fey gift/being an Envoy also does not relegate you to being 'good'
If it did Alora never would have been betrayed
Tropes exist because they're well-worn paths. They're the familiar path. But they're not the only possible paths. Veering off the paths doesn't mean that something is bad. It's just being creative off the beaten path.
i'm not saying they're good, you can't even classify alora as such
Right on
The lore implication of Bayor's name being inscribed on the Paragon is indicative of the in game paragon when we can give it out to others, but with OUR name inscribed on it.
He still owned it though
that's not just the implication tho, it implies they were on good standing enough for her to make him a weapon.
Curious if there are more etchings on the blade
Which would explain the idea that what we saw during waste bear might not be a memory from us...
Or he took it from someone and etched his own threat onto it over the progenitors name
you can read into the "made into hunters" line as a description for even the sinecure, it doesn't have to mean bayor
Oh no, he didnt take it from anyone. It was his hands down from Alora
Or simply that the people in the villages are made to farm and harvest usable materials.
The Sinecure look down on the Thralls. Sinecure are mecenaries. Thus, they're not likely to actually do a lot of the "menial" work. That's what the thralls are for. Slave labor.
It wasnt, I could have sworn in the early envoy hours it was a 'flash forward' which retconned it from being a flashback.
Usually when I mention this, people get upset.
So, we're at lest on the same page, there.
That's good context to have, accidental as it may be
The character in it does look almost identical to Bayor
But being masked and all, it could be the Envoy in a similar getup
It is implied with the transition of our Envoy into Bayor that it could be 'like us' but not actually us.
We know only of the sap causing visions of the future. Nothing in any of the lore says it can bring back memories.
I interpreted it as Bromius trying to do a "this will come to pass, you can't change it" type of taunt.
I always thought Bayor and the three Wyld pacts were spellsonged and slew Alora's physical body
In that same dev hour they talk about inspirations for their story, which leads me down a path of the duality of the forces at play
Naturalists vs Tech
Mononoke was traditional paths vs industrialization
The Wyld pacts existed way back in the past. They were the first Envoys.
i wouldn't say they're truly tech tho, it's just different
The NES was seemingly reality vs dreams
The Ode you mean?
Yeye. Their gods are the constellations iirc
just saying i don't really feel the tech vs nature bit.. cuz in the end, the ode want nature just..different nature
all Cosmic and possibly Eldritch as they could be
Eh. I see them as crazy cultists who have some magic and tech.
oh that gives me a thought... What if we and Bayor are similar in that we are able to use more than one Pact? Like Bayor was able to master all three Wyld pacts and Alora named him a Paragon? and we tecnically are a Paragon too since we can make pacts with more than one pact beast
(meaning Jolsafar and that lot, who may or may not be canon? That's not really clear)
Also, they're probably a worm-squid thing under the humanoid suit.
Mind Flayer esque kinda creatures?
No. Just little squidlike worm things. Like what pops out of the heads fo the Slayers in Krull.
I like that idea, BUT Paragon is linked to Virtues, not specific pacts
tbh pacts don't seem to be entirely unique. tethren's own battalion was said to be trained in tethren magics.
Which human legion was trained in the Tethren pacts?
I forget that all the time which is bad, since it seemingly was in part a contributing factor the human fey war
the solist warriors
Still so weird that the Fey would go to war with us, yet also befit Mirifuir with blessings, unless Mirifuir was ages prior to the war
The way we took that is that the Fey structured magick into spells, unlike the raw primordial magicks of the Celestials
Our assumption is that the humans did as the Wazzard attempted to do: stole the magick.
The Celestials make the Magick. The Fey structured the magick to follow their needs. The Humans stole the spells from the Fey
And the war began
This SORTA plays into the Fey and Ode being the same. IIF the Fey focused the Celestials power into Spells, the Ode could have been a faction that wa slike... hell nah we want the source. Thus dividing the Fey into two groups, of which one left for a space faring way.
Except the Ode don't worship the Celestials, they worship the stars beyond.
Constellations. Which in themselves can be described as Celestial bodies grouped together.
yeah, it's a little sus like that. there's plenty of info that survived til now but the reason why the fey decided to attack is not known? feels a bit suspicious
It feels very odd for them not to worship their original gods if they left and returned
A celestial body is a star/planet/planetoid
(Celestial also isn't an official term btw)
Explain if the ode are fey, then why can't they exist on Alca without dying if they don't have protection from alca's air.
but the constellations would have to be seen from alca, since the point of view is too important
Personally use it to descript the 3 gods of Mora, Sapphene, and Iridis, separate from the other gods
Of yeah of course, I am just saying the part that might have split off wanted to the SOURECE of the power (Celestials) instead of just drawing on it and forming it to spells for ease of use.
But there is also a difference between soaking up power and then going to take it for yourself.
And this is where our timeline information would be really handy.
Because of the spellsong, we have no clues to how long ago things were
Or even what had happened prior with the Faun
We have some clues. The ode invasion happene on the night of our birth.
Here's the timeline we do know: The Quiet Years, the War of Man and Fey, the Fonnish Charge, the Cassid Occupation, the Circade and the Baskers, and then the Ode Invasion.
In that order
i know that, but their constellation names would be something people would know. nothing implies ode constellations are familiar on alca so far, which doesn't really support a belief system that started on alca
We don't always know how long between these events was
We just know the order of them
Oh, also, someone's been raising the dead of the Quiet Years
We don't know why
They seem to want everything dead though
Like the Midrathians would know or? Because they were completely wiped with the Spellsong
True!
Maybe some psycho wiht magic.
Crazy people with magic is fairly common.
The real question is: why the dead of the Quiet Years
we got people from midrath, dendria, and aurel at least so far
There's been many wars and battles and dead since then
Why the Quiet Years specifically to be bound to wooden husks
Doesnt the spell song make EVERY non-Ode forget everything?
Maybe that's what they've got access to? Or just their favorite part of history?
Perhaps. We only see ghosts in a few places, some of which are well defended.
i mean sure, while it still affects them. we don't know the exact nature of it. and deora seemingly continues to trick them into thinking she works for them.
Ghosts are also found near more recent shipwrecks though...
No. Only those who can hear it properly. Animals, Sproutfolk, Envoys, and people with bad or altered hearing are immune to spellsong.
the envoy themself also recovered memories after waking up
Except maybe not Envoys, the Envoy is immune but that could be related to why they were cast out.
Was teh song a one time thing? Like it rang out and mystified the Midrathians, then going forward people only knew what was currently happening. The only things to remember the past were the 'motes' that we collect for Orlick
i wanna say no, since mada does threaten to unleash it. it might be costly or dangerous to use.
We see both Envoy and Doylen living a fairly normalish life duirng the ode occupatin until we get captured trying to help a wolf pup.
I meant in terms of it is used once and that memory/past is wiped living forward only. If it is ever used more its another full wipe, with only the forward living being known
it would be alot of work just for like... one or two people who broke out of the Spellsong lol
A very fair point
hmm, the way it's described it seems closer to brainwash than it being a forget ray. making people forget their culture and histories is telling cuz it doesn't say it makes them useless, more that they act completely different
"... an Envoy ..." Suggests that multiple envoys at one time are possible.
i mean... Bayor is also alive and an Envoy
just... with the Ode
Possibly not the only one.
That makes sense, it isnt an Avatar situation, but more like a Soldier
or like Warframe again where all the players are technically canon out there
oh i doubt that... that many envoys on this tiny island? goodbye ode!
I mean, in that regard with Eternalism, we are just a wild offshoot
Or even Skelfland
Also: which do you think we'll get first, omen toad or Atajan
Personally betting on Atajan since it seems like he'd come with the weapon arts book
And that would be a system to "aggressively change" like the plans have been said to be
i expect them to be everywhere, but for cassia... i expect them to be not be liked and/or hunted
Do we know what the Skelfies looked like?
we don't have a confirmation on whether or not fenn jotar was an envoy or not, but i kinda feel he was to be able to repel cassia the way he does
If so, they didn't have them during the Cassid occupation of Midrath.
I mean he wears the Mora's Pride Pact
at least his Ghost does
Mora's Hand?
Do you HAVE to be an Envoy to use a pact?
Yes
Hard to say, although the toad concept was shown first
But is also placed second in the teaser poem, and what you said about weapon arts
Well, a pact seems to be layered over your blue arm, so...that's a really good question
well yeah, but it's ambiguous on how pacts are made and such and nothing explicitly says it was made before his death
What does being a 'Fey' let you do?
Rather, and Envoy of the Fey
Well, seemingly it lets you resurrect after death
And find a Familiar to guide you
Had assumed it let you make Pacts as well, but as you said that's maybe in dispute
Unless Mora's Hand is meant to be a Pact with Fenn Jotar
And not Mora
could be the case
But then Ode Tempest
We don't know. We do know that Verminia is a witch, and doesn't have any indication of markings that a blue arm would have. So, it's possible thet magic users who aren't envoys could use pact magics. Likely a lesser from than the main form.
i think it is a pact with Mora, as Jotar says to take Mora's Hand
Surely a Fey wouldnt make a pact with an invader?
We do know beings outside of Envoys can use magick
The Cucibita Scarecrows are explicitly called out as a form of magick ritual iirc
A cleansed form of the tool that siphoned our power for Ode use, iirc
Maybe moras hand is like a 'spell' that is used to channel magicks and not actually being of the Fey itself.
Omen Beasts are not Fey.
With various powers such as Omen Beasts
Or Celestial Gods
Or, sometimes, Fey
The Ode Tempest seems to be a technology that siphons off that Pactmaking ability to fuel its abilities.
Basically: magitech hacking of an ancient sacred power
i hope that when the Wyld Rituals come out and we start getting more Wyld pacts, that the Ode Tempest becoming the Wyld Tempest changes from using the metal Ode orbs to like stone orbs that conduct the lightning magic. Like lightning striking a mountaintop. Maybe even adding stone breaking through the Ode metal arm
Yeah. DE said the spellsong is a result of the Ode learning that music is a key component in alcan magic, and thus hacking it.
Enter the Mononoke references again
We don't know.
Not clear
He was a prince, and apprentice of Kane, and the one who actually forged the Mora and Sapphene swords.
not clear but posiible
It's very possible he was...his anguish at his self imposed banishment feels very personal. Either he was entirely too fanatical in his worship of Mora, or they had a Pact with each other, which he in turn can pass to you.
Also cursed by Kane.
Yes, but that wasn't why he couldn't stand beneath Mora again, was it? Thought it was why he wasn't, well...dead dead.
Did we have a clear vision of if being an Envoy was a requirement to form a Pact? Other than Ode who reverse -engineered magicks into tech
we don't know if it was cursed in the literal sense, since he had to fight the cassids above ground too
It's never been explicitly stated, but pacts ONLY are applied over your blue arm
there's a lot more roaming spirits as well, with circade attacking you we know they're not bound to be underground
The way it was explained to me back in p6 was that yes, it was why he can't feel the warmth of the suns. But that might've been some oldbies misenterpreting things.
yeah it definetly feels super personal to him. maybe his fanaticism created his pact? like its kinda hard to touch the sun lol
His voicelines seem to imply it was self imposed by his guilt and anguish over the Baskers
maybe even giving himself this job of being the bridge leading the Envoy's to Mora as a pact in a sorta "Guarding the treasure you can never touch"
So then maybe you dont need to be an envoy to have a pact, you just need the 'ammo' with that being the resources
like Red Skull in the marvel films
It seems like he was in a situation before that happened, though. And then they added to the problem.
"Yes, and only by marriage to Mora can it be so. But let her not see me this way." - Fenn Jotar
"My Midrath, occupied again... Penance, perhaps? My soul, your frame, returned to reign, a noble war in Mora's name. Invaders burned by flint of shame! Dare I stand in her light again..." - Fenn Jotar
"My Knight, I bid ye be my Thane. It must be so, for the King needs counsel. I... have stolen glances in her shadow. I have dreamt of her warm embrace. I wonder... Do I dare... Ask my Lady Mora to dance?" - Fenn Jotar
While we are on the Baskers
They cried flames across their homelands, lost. They burned the collaborators. And The Fire King, Fenn Jotar, could only watch.
These all seem to imply he could stand beneath her again, but feels unready
Who were the collaborators?
maybe Mora's Hand is a pact with Jotar, and you are channeling his fanaticism to Mora to do the stuff
those who helped the Cassids
Midrathians accused of supporting the Cassids
Non-cassids who aided them. Or were thought to have aided them.
But the Baskers vigilantes weilded the weapons AGAINST the Cassids. So was it the Skelflanders? Dendrit?
Speaking of Cassids, we need DE to give us a Pico skin for the guide.
"I will not see my knight turn collaborator once more!" - Seemingly including his own men...and a lot of innocent villagers
Whome everit was, got burned in the process and it seems like it literally burned those bridges
It was basically a witch hunt in the aftermath of the Occupation
Thus a Kings shame for allowing vigilantes to grow and act outside the law of his knights.
maybe it was like with the Circade
The Baskers were vigilantes, out of Fenn's control. They were basically a lynch mob.
Was the Circade betrayal born out of the Baskers inherent burning of those were to help and the lands of?
"The Ashen Spirits, gone. Have you noticed?" - At rank 5.
He was literally haunted by the ghosts of those he felt responsible for burning, fair to himself or not.
Only adding to the Kings shame, with Moras name and power being used out of control
He blames himself heavily for turning a blind eye to the Baskers
Whether he could have done something or not, he actively chose to ignore them
I mean I would too if they burned the lands of friends and those friends in turn just because the power got out of their control
He tried to woo the former Lady Jotar before Fenn was named king. He was a rat bastard long before the Baskers
Dunno. Hard for me to parse most of stuff about the circade. It did seem like there was 3 people who were overly decadent. Sorta like having a trio of Headonism Bots.
They didn't lose control. They chose to.
I assume this was the Circade that did this? And you mean one of them since there were three? or am I misunderstanding the Circade
It was one man with three souls
The Circade did it, yes
And he was not three people. He had three souls, and as such was unkillable.
oh
They eventually sealed him in the Crypts to stop him
now that sounds like the Avatar if I ever head of one in this game, damn
That kinda gets into semantics and weird storytelling.
3 souls, one for each virtue
The Seer Dale once drank the mist. Her eyes roiled round and spoke she this:
"Rise will he, in phantoms three.
Of Jotar claim, but steeped in greed.
Crypt be crippled, binds be cleft.
Where magicks wink, lay each to rest."
A bit. It's just important to note he was only ever one body, whether the three souks made him different people or not is unknown.
"I wake at the blue sun's rise. The Kearnhold bells chime six. They dubbed us The Circade when I rose from shallow grave, and here in our chambers, have I toiled each morn since. Scheming. All is arranged. At seventh bell, will I go to the market, three diamond in hand to find the Lord's firm shake. A deal to wrest old Jotar of his crown. Soon brothers, the reign of The Circade."
Sounds like a plural system of three souls in one body, each becoming the inverse of a Virtue
"I wake at the red sun's set with a right sore throat. Must be thirsty for firsties at the Flippin' Dragon! Me dawn soul writes that we cannot die. So another pair o' ales for I! An' ol' Jotar said I'd drink ourselves to death- he'd like that! I cannot write long, the Lady Jotar fetches 'freshments. Just know- this burning Lunust night- I shall ask for her hand! A ring for her, a crown for I, And best of all, should she decline, I'll ask another. For she's as many sisters 'ere as this tavern has tables- not countin' the barrels acourse."
The way I was raised, yes, that would be 3 people. A soul being its own being.
"At night-tide, woke I, with a stomach turned sour. "Flee," pleads the wind from her Cardinal towers. A cat crossed my path, more lives lost than remain. I hear naught a footfall. Yet I draw still my blade."
Where do we find all this lore?
The Journal/Wiki
Journal entries for the Circade
Yes, but sharing a body
Read the second entry
During Mora's light, one soul is in possession of the body. Sapphene, another
specifically 'me dawn soul says we cannot die'
And Iridis, yet another
3 souls, one body. A plural system of rat bastards, traitors, and monsters.
Which doesn't matter. A body is just a body. The soul is the being.
Perhaps. We don't disagree it was three people.
(be a bit hypocritical if we did)
We recalled the lore a bit differently than it was.
Thought it was merely three souls within a single man, not three men within a body.
But the lore is definite that it's the latter
Their lore has nothing to do with the Baskers it seems, to answer the original question
Same difference. The body is just the vessel. It having 3 operators be they always there at once or in shifts doesn't change how I view it.
kinda reads as the same thing so i'm confused here
There's a slight pedantry to it that CAN be important but isn't in this particular case.
Each soul is its own person. They merely, shall we say, timeshare the body
We recalled it that it was one person, who had three... shall we say cores of being or fonts of life, that meant that should he die the other two would regenerate the third.
Basically, our memory was, as always, fallible.
Anyways, as for why the Circade was sealed: the Grace spirit tried to buy the crown from Fenn, the Courage spirit tried to sleep with his...mom? Aunt? Predecessor at the very least, and the Spirit spirit woke up in the midst of a bloodbath and just kept killing.
Just a bunch of power hungry drunks with no morals.
Nothing to do with the Baskers
(Basically, Vlad, we read soul as Source of Life and not Individual Person the first time we read the lore, and missed the switching of perspectives)
(but yes, these are clearly different people)
yeah i always thought the courage one was wild, cuz it also speaks of the size of clan jotar for him to think 'if i strike out with this one, i can ask another'. and yet fenn did nothin
Fenn wasn't the ruler at the time
He literally struck out with the clan head
that was more in the sense of he had a large family, but failed to even protect them in general. not just from circade, mb
Proof that DE goofed and that Rood needs to be Grace while Orengall needs to be Spirit...
The lore implies it was...not an easy war.
Without Igne Mora, Fenn might very well have lost.
Choked, poisoned, then stabbed in the back.
These poor assholes really didn't get much mercy in the dying department
They should've tried dismemberment. That works for perma-killing Deadite possessed bodies.
was it said he lost it?
Not sure what the book in the first mural was about
He stole it to rally his people
oh i just misread that
...Honestly, we're glad we reread the lore on Circade
It's good to see plural rep, even if the system members were, well, less than good
But then, DE did Zuud as well, so they clearly have some experience with it.
We only hope we don't meet such a gruesome end
Maybe freezing to death instead.
I want the game to get a bit more gruesome
I feel like once we are able to see the Ode for what they really are, it might get that way
And prasewilling, Eldritch horror
Just be prepared to chew bubblegum and kick butt, and be all out of bubblegum.
Also, yeah. Spellsong has some They Live vibes to it.
This is also probably the best place to ask about this. Did DE leave out a note, or is it just incredibly hard to find?
Call me when you find one of the arrow stabbing scene from Bone Tomahawk.
Those werent nearly as gruesome as the split
Pictures from what I was told would likely be the new ||dungeon entrance||. It looks awesome.
ooooh
It isn't gruesome enough that we are killing people to "save" animals? The game theme is truly quite warped.
"people" we dont know what Ode really are. But no, there is nothing really horrific about the game just yet. Just a fight back against invaders terraforming the area of midrath. Once we get into eldritch horror or gruesome realities made apparent, then maybe itll be enough
yeah all we know for a fact is that they cant survive on the planet
like i think someone mentioned earlier, they could be like ooze for all we know
This just made me think a lot of stuff is machinations, what if the ode are just machines made by synod and he's the only real person trying to make the world into what he wants.
i mean that could work somewhat. Like there are only a few actual Ode on the Skycastle and are a forward terraforming group
built like breen from star trek
when did they add a talking camal and store
We're killing alien invaders who're trying to terraform out world.
Just because they don't look like the Mars Attacks aliens doesn't make them any more "people".
I guess my suspension of disbelief just isn't as active as yours. lol
P12
damn
He was part of the Founders update.
i haven't played in a while i wonder what else i'll find
The capitalism camel
For what it's worth, he doesn't talk so much as groan with us understanding some of the groans.
I like how the placeholder cutscenes are clearly just the storyboards
They are perfect and I don't ever want them to change
Yeah they feel stylistic
DE said they are just the storyboards.
If they want to make actual cutscenes they should just make other ones
Thematically, having these flashbacks be illustrations works pretty well
They want to make the memories be intractable cutscenes. I'm not particulary fond of the storyboards.
With the tutorial "Rise Envoy" showing us learning some stuff as a kid, it leans into what they said they want for the Juniper scenes.
Why the Ode Tempest pact sold in Alka? And how can have a pact with Ode? It's not a spiritual natural force. I think this pact is more fit of Rose, it made sense because they are like spies.
my headcanon is when the Ode captured you prior they somehow engineered a restraint that controlled you by binding to the fey arm.
but thats solely down to the key-hole designs placed around it
as for why alca has it, 🤷♂️
location ?
Bottom right of the map here.
Are you on right now? You can dm me ingame and I can invite you and show you specifically where.
yeag give me 15 mins ( Ty)
As far as I know no one has got that yet (or at least no one shared).
Either it doesn't exist or it is incredibly obscure.
You can't find it if you've already done Steelsinger
It's meant to be at the shrine when you leave the dungeon during Torment Stag, it's a note by Orlick talking about the nearby excavation so you go find Tuvalkane
As far as I know that one doesn't add to the Note section.
Wow, they delete the throne and now there's a door. But how get inside?
By the way, what IGN mean? I've seen this tag before.
Ingame name
Was watching some streamers playing through the Sacrifice, made me wonder if Soulframe will eventually have a similar emotional gut punch of a quest
I used the moon's power and got inside. You can jump from above and get underneath the textures.
IGN means In Game Name. Basically I'm signifying my game name if someone wants to contact me easier in game.
I'm going to remove it though since it seems it may cause confusion
The way I got in is out back in a vent like structure that you have to crouch through.
I wanted to report this as a bug but I've been really busy today because of some hectic IRL stuff.
Yes, I was already been inside. My guess that it the cannon that will send us to the Flying Fortress.
Whatever it is it looks freaking awesome.
now I have two things to explore when I get home today
-# only if the mirifuir breach 'method' I saw earlier is reliable
I posted the location as well if you scroll up a bit, I hope it helps.
is that the method with the /unstuck from the right-hand work or a different one 👀
-# i couldn't get that one to work I think there wasn't an echo stone
What am I supposed to do here? It’s a quest from Sparrow. He brought me here, but I can’t find anything.
Asking for codes is not allowed in this discord.
If you still need access, check the pins in #envoy-gathering for a handy list of ways to get in
Could you define "here"?
I have no idea if im lost but anybody know where the best place for Greatsword rune drops?
Been looking countlessly, been doing dungeons, bosses and organs
Which greatsword rune? There are two on https://wiki.avakot.org/Runes
My bad I meant fragments
Oh, which greatsword? They're on https://wiki.avakot.org/Weapons, there are three of them
Probably purity
If you want Purity your best bet is Mendiking, though it can technically drop from Collector
Ah got it, will use this wiki more often, since im a greatsword main when it comes to games i have been having no luck with drops. I just keep getting clothes and weapons I dont wanna use
Dw that's pretty normal for greatsword or shield lovers - there's only 2 farmable ones of each
hopefully we get more in future though
Thankyou for the wiki
You're very welcome, glad it can help!
So, it needs to be added to #1438224825113120788
That's getting into a part of the scenery, not a dungeon entrance.
Why does yours look so different from mine??!?!
As far as I know I have completed all content in the game
That's from cogah, not steelsinger.
Some of us have a bug that we can't get cogah notes.
I know, but I have her at rank 3 and it doesn't even show up on my list
The notes are in the overworld. You have to pick them up.
Hmm. ok
Same with the ones for Game of Ships, Salesfolk, The Witch.
Ah, okay. Sorry, I hadn't read the rules.
Thanks, bro.
you are missing the Cogah notes and the steelslinger notes
Thanks. I am looking for them now 🙂
ahh yes the cheese
the cheese stands alone
i found that so long ago its good to see people are still looking for it'
its best to keep the cords secret and let people find it naturaly
encourages exploration to look for secrets and references
It looks like The Steelsinger note 2 has been removed 🙁
Extremely late to the party.
Cheese around the map has been known since p8. maybe p7.
it has been checked off my list
let people be excited about things okkkkkkkkk?
PSA: I'm fairly sure that here in spoiler chat, people expect spoilers, so it's probably not needed to spoiler tag the pics.
true
-# sidenote i am stuck underneath the castle with no obvius way up into the castle :\
using werewalker on top of the rock followed by /unstuck has place me in the underground area twice now, trying to find a sweet spot that puts me on the main level instead of under
Shrine of Sheogorath?
If the picture includes likely future content, it's relevant. Many prefer to experience things themselves and I like to give the option for that.
Eh. This channel is specifically for giving out spoilery info. I'd expect people to avoid the channel if they don't want spoilers.
question:
How did the Fire King managed to marry Mora (& Saphene)? They basically.... Suns
-# carefully
You found the first part of the cheese conspiracy.
what is this place?
I don't think it was ever mentioned anywhere he married them literally.
You marry yourself to a cause. Or to faith. Or devotion. In this case, Jotar sworn to uphold and absolutely honor Mora under any case and all. Even to a staggering obsession and fanaticism.
