for what i noticed, when you get in a area, you can see small black dots on the slots under the area name, the those things represent the number of whisps there in the momment
so, you reach a area, under of the name you have the spaces, if a whisp is up, there will be a black thing filling one of those spaces

Yeah perfect dodge is indicated by a sound cue and also your Envoy glowing a little gold as you dodge through the attack. Great question about the window, I'd assume around half a second or something? You know you're doing a spectre strike because it's a different attack animation compared to a normal dodge attack, but I agree devastating is a strong word lmao

Its more like a slow pace gameplay unlike Warframe where you clear a room full of mobs in a single aoe shot or skill.

Very different! It's closer to the nice classic 2013/14 warframe (fighting individual enemies and focusing on the environment), versus what warframe is nowadays. It's easiest to compare it to more comparable games though - things like Jedi Fallen Order maybe
orbit means throw with MMB (heavy attack), versus throw with LMB (that's just a light attack)

It does drop yes! Its only drop source is Vadagar Stags (either encountered naturally at night, or via tales)
Then I must be extremely unlucky .. I have dozens of Armorshards from the Stag.. but none for Gathannan .. am farming Mendicant King and Stag atm.

There are no planed wipes. And unless something absolutely critical happens, the devs do not plan on wiping everyone. I won’t say never because that’s bit me before but highly unlikely since there are real money purchases being made in game.
Does completeting sieges and organs give Faction standing?
Sieges gives a stat called 'Infamy' but it doesn't do anything yet. I can't remember if Organs give infamy, but they give unique armour and weapon fragments at the moment.
DE haven't said much about what Infamy will be used for, whatever ideas they have are a while away.

I tried everything to get anything else than C, and I initially thought it was related to time from starting a siege to burning red balloon.
I managed to, at some point, finish a siege in barely less than a minute and it still was a C.
Then I thought, maybe I have to kill everyone inside fort in time, so I was doing what dwqrf did, except for the next village etc. part - still a C, even after making it below 2 minutes.
If none of these worked, maybe taking as little damage as possible was also included? This was also not an answer - that is why I believe siege ranks aren’t working at all right now

It will not become free as Paragon comes with items not in the other bundles as well as extra Moonsteel Threads and Arcs, buying the other bundles will reduce the price of the Paragon pack, though I couldn't say to how much
You'll end up paying more overall though if you buy each seperately since the additional Moonsteel and Arcs will bump up the overall price

Ive bought wyld tethern the other day, when I went to look at the other packs paragon went from 100 down to 70
I'm not sure as I got the Paragon pack out of the gate, I suppose if you get the bonus Arcs and Moonsteel and not the full 3500 again it would end up being 100 total

most places use usd as a benchmark when pricing things so that money is not lost in translation. I am in Canada and I use usd first for things I have, it always get's translated to your own currency so basically all prices are the same no matter the currency.

The Shaper (Beaver Totem for Magick weapons) has two quite similar effects in both Utility and Attack, them being :
Utility : 'Unhindered' Heavy Casts that pass through enemies bypass 18 Armour
Attack : 'Unhindered' Heavy Casts that pass through enemies bypass 20 Armour
-If you use both, do you benefit from both for -38 Armor total or is one overriding the other ?
-Does it also affect the first enemy hit or only following enemies after passing through the first one ?
-Can Unhindered attacks pass through big bosses like Stag and Bear, and thus affect them ?

Just wondering, I’ve noticed recently that when I am switching weapons or going in and out of combat arts in the “arsenal” the game will stutter like it is loading for a sec. This happens on two different PCs for me. Anyone else seeing these arsenal microstutters?
i have some when switching prisms sometimes or pacts, but it might be a shader cache issue. if you had a graphics driver update recently you might need to purge the caches to clear old shaders that cause stuttering
or it could be an hdd issue if you use one for some reason
Could be. I find it odd though that I have this with two different PCs with different specs. Both have SSDs. When I first started playing the game it didn’t happen. It’s almost like now that I have all the pacts and weapons it’s an issue. One system used AMD and the other Nvidia btw.
see if purging the shader caches (even if only for the game if you can isolate it) solves it. it will take a bit of time until framerate stabilizes since it has to recompile all the shaders from scratch but after that it should be smooth

Shader cache tends to get reset automatically after a driver update 
At the very least with AMD
if i recall warframe and soulframe do something weird with their caching (with the shader cache enabled toggle in the launcher), but it doesnt hurt to check, aside from a bit of recompiling

Well yeah the Undercity is the best but the dungeons are randomly generated, so It's no different than the Undercity would be if you entered from anywhere else besides enemy level

There's a room with breakables and a chest behind the door.
So I've spent like a whole week trying to get Dewelion, playing 6-8h per day farming only that weapon ; doing roughly 12 dungeons + 3 sieges + 2 collector per day ; and after a whole week staying at 0/3 fragment, I had legitimate doubt that this weapon existed or dropped.
Eventually, I dropped one fragment yesterday in dungeon. So I guess if I keep doing the same routine for 100 more hours, i'll eventually get it whole. 😮💨

Is that a good thing that some item are hard to drop to give loot to look for ? Probably. But running in the hamster wheel without any single shred of reward is extremely disapointing and frustrating ; As I've said before, I wouldn't mind the Dewelion to be in 30 parts with higher drop chance to give the impression you are moving toward a goal, because as of now it's too much effort for the extremely rare and punctual reward. I think extremely low drop chance items should be reserved for exclusives cosmetics instead of gear that is somewhat important for progression and build diversity (like Ephemeras, for instances)
every update there is that item with extremely broken rng that get fixed and the bad rng goes to the next one xD
i guess best is to just wait for P14 to drop and try again

I have a question relating to attunement. Lets say I have a weapon like Marrow's bane that has 4 courage stated on it base. Would I be better off attuning further into courage or attune into a different virtue?

If you already have high courage but low in others it would be better to just have extra courage attunement
But if you have relatively high virtue in others you can maybe check if one of them would be higher damage then just courage
Yeah, I'm using Mora's beast with the full Arbearer's set with Moten Mora's talisman which has me at C36 S2 4G
I've noticed lately that rather than 1 hour, virtue buff potions (courage ones at least, not grace. also may have encountered a specific bug combo that triggers that...) have been lasting indefinetly... 😅🥰 And since they are +10 and the 10 minute music buffs are just +5, it has been very helpful in keeping my Gathannan and Purity maxed and not missing out on Molten Mora and instead fine with Triune Talisman! 🥰 It is so nice to run around 50 or so Courage and Gathannan at 222 & Purity at 219 and then activating Mora's Hand Ember to combined have Hungry Flame weapon buff for 1.5 minutes (Hungry Flame continues for 1 minute after not on fire) and easy to refresh, which pushes Gathannan to about 259 and Purity to about 257 but with the right combo of music buffs and potion buffs I can get at least one of them to high uptime be at 260!!... 🤣🥰🎉
Which is super nice for 30 seconds of Treefell Rune 2x damage speed (near instant) "charged" heavy attack and 40 armor penetration! 🤣😻

For anyone looking for a goal to tide them over some more before the next prelude drops, you could gather a stash of the rarer ingredient for virtue elixirs/potions like Neathcaps from the Neath'uns or Grynnetongue & Lullily from corrupted areas! 😻 I'm planning to do some potion ingredient gathering soon myself! 😄
Well, something to keep in mind is that, according to the wiki :
"A weapon can only gain bonus damage from Attunement equal to 1.5 times (150%) its base damage (i.e. a weapon dealing 50 damage can only gain 75 bonus damage from Attunement)"
And :
"As a general rule, each Attunement Pip adds 1/2 a point of Damage per point in that Virtue."
So, with Marrow's bane base damage at level 30 being 78 ; you can only get it up to 195 ; a gain of 117 damage ; which is 234 courage if it had only one pip ; or 58.5 courage for 4 pips, or 46.8 if you had 5 pips. Adding a courage pip does add some damage and you are still far from the cap. In your case at 36 Courage, base 4 pips should be bringing the weapon to 150 damage, 5 pips to 168.
If i'm understanding it correctly and if my math is correct.
The 1.5x attunement is multiplying the level 0 base attack damage for bonus to add to whatever the current leveled base attack damage is. Also the tooltip will be showing the with joinery amount (+25 with Blessed Guildar). So for me the math for Marrow's Bane is (54 * 1.5) + 78 + 25 = 184. Which means that without joinery it is 159.
I honestly think the in game tooltips should be designed for a bit more clarity and options... 😅

So, with Marrow's bane base damage at level 0 being 54 ; you can only get it up to 135 (at level 0) ; a gain of 81 damage ; which is **162 **courage if it had only one pip ; or 40.5 courage for 4 pips, or 32.4 if you had 5 pips. - But at level 30 you have 78 base damage, but still only +81 bonus damage from (base damage level 0) x (max attunement) ; so for a cap of 159.
So that's correct ?

Ok so let me tell you what i found out about magic in Soulframe
It's kinda of -not- what you'd like it to be
It's pretty hard to find pacts that really synergize with Spirit to boost spells damage ; and spirit weapons (staff/gauntlets) do a little less damage than bows for example

The whole point of Spirit is more to play more spells ; more often ; instead of stronger spells
Because Spirit is CD reduction ; and eventually, playing twice a spell is kinda doubling your spell dps
BUT ; a lot of spells do little damage, or have reduce damage against bosses, so compared to their great amount of armor, you still will have to play heavy attack and aim for the head to kill thoses and you won't rely on the damage of your spells (there is obscene exceptions)
So the spell kit of a pact for a spirit build is more chosen for its overall utility instead of armageddons
so do you need to buy the other pacts
BUT, and that's the issue in the current version of soulframe ; with the right totem and the right weapon, you can end up with extreme CD reduction, of CD total negation, with any build, spirit or not

Well, archer are playing with bows ; bows require Grace attunement ; all Grace Weapons have more damage gain from Grace ; Grace grant increase damage multipliers on headshots and stealth ; so you generally just want to stack Grace ;
Spirit only increase your CD reduction
I run with Oscelda and a bow (with a spirit / grace hybrid prism). So, it definely works.

You'll be able to deal damage too. There is no strict "Trinity" at play
I want to play Spirit too, but unless you are required to stack a healthy amount of Spirit for the attunement of your staff, you will only gain damage on one spell (the middle one) ; if it does damage ; but you'll be able to play all your spells more often

I've used a full spirit Orengall build, it worked well for me.
The left spell scale with Courage, the right spell scale with Grace, so whatever the virtue you chose to max out, you always have one strong spells regardless of playing Spirit and cosplaying a Wizard

you'll be relying on your staff to do less dps than other weapon BUT you will still be able to use the first and third spell more often than without spirit for damage gain and cc

For Spirit player, you have to know you'll end up doing less damage at range than bows, and you'll be the weakest class in the game having both less armor and less health than others (which make you extremely squishy)

the only upsides of Spirit build is that you have a greater Magick resistance (quite situational) and better CD; but not necessarly better spells.
Just stay at range, plan carefully your spell rotation, aim for the head with heavy attack of your staff, and you'll be fine
And, hu, my best tips is get yourself an Odiac (secondary), play it with Attack speed and the Archstorm rune, and you'll do amazing AoE damage

The Archstorm rune is kinda of mandatory for magick weapons users ; it will generally double your damage output ; and does AoE so that'll realllly help you in packs of enemies, regardless of doing heavy attacks (especially when not doing heavy attacks but mostly spamming simple attacks with the attack speed buff when stationnary) ; but will fall off against big armored boss, so that's where you rely mostly on heavy attacks + headshots
so, i just did the thing with ||orlick||, should i just explore or is there another thread to that quest

Good news, you do have a lot of agaric mushrooms after beating the boss 50 times in normal mode and a lot of practice now.

you do need to have Verminia at bond level 2 tho to make it
it's a "world wide effect" of sorts.
Generally everything gets scaled but only bosses drop the special new cogah only runes and amulets
tho it ends if you die or relog and then you'll need to use another cogah elixir

leveling up your weapons and pacts does both directly and indirectly increase your dps so that's something you should definitely do whether passively or actively
there are also Joineries which give small buffs to your weapons tho for that you need to have found the blacksmith ancestor and crafted enough items for her to be at level 2
you can also "Charm" animals via Q+LMB (if you're on M&KB) which gives you "Totems" that are small weapon type specific upgrades of sorts
tho as to which weapon type it'll be for is always random

Kind of. You can do Hybrid Virtue builds, which allow you to equip more dynamic equipment options and gives you some of the benefit of each.
A Paladin/Spellsword would be a Spirit/Courage build, for example

Not exactly. Your Pact isn't virtue specific. They're not classes.

Yes and no. You don't reset your stats, mostly because your stats are set by an item called a prism. Changing your prism reallocates your stats for you.

Spirit affects ability cooldown and the scaling values of your 2 ability atm.
It previously did affect Duration but that was supposed to have been removed.
For example, Tethren’s first ability is supposed to scale with Courage (its duration), but when I invest points into Spirit, it recharges faster.

So the only single instance where Hollowing seems relevant to me is when using it on a secondary to tag enemies once before switching to another weapon, even another magick with Archstorm, to have a single AoE procc on death that may do a chain of explosion ; but then again, by the time you tag everyone, switch weapon and procc+pull smite again, you'd have dealt the same amount of AoE damage, or even more, just by attacking around with Archstorm
Hollowing does have one more Attack Totem though, but seems extremely lackluster

You can multi-tag the same character as well. If you get 4 hits in before the enemy dies, they explode for a LOT of damage, usually wiping the camp
Hence why it seems you do a lot more damage, because you stack it until they die ; but doing the same amount of damage to kill the enemy himself seems more reliable to me

Even if you only tag an enemy ONCE it does a HUGE amount of damage. The effects are similar between Archstorm and Hollowing, but Archstorm has a much smaller aoe radius and less damage in exchange for not needing a kill to proc
It does work like this, which helps somewhat, but also, the rune just does like 3 times as much damage per stack.
And has like 50-75% larger radius
Both damage per tick are supposed to be 125
Not sure why then, but hollowing does do more damage. It's possible the damage type has some sort of unknown effect to bypass armor.

In all my runs with an arena, the .lp file names start with "Se", and all runs without an arena start with "Ke"

After entering and leaving 13 times without hitting GoAxDeadendGarrenRood, I finally got a hit on /Layer8/Prefab7/Decoration7), and of course it had an arena. So it’s 100%. I also found 1 hit for Prefab8 at the very bottom of the entire logs, so I assume that also means 100% arena.

Just went through ToS and EULA, doesn't say anything about "exploits." Only in their Third-Party Software Policy does it mention "bans for altering game files, cheating and/or exploiting Soulframe", but we aren't using third party software so 🤷🏻♂️

I think this is approaching it from only the angle of conserving charges, but there's other negatives besides just not being able to use your charges on the enemy you want to save them for.
If people are trying to enjoy their normal heavy attacks for fun, visual or vibe-based purposes, they cannot do this until they've 'got rid' of any rune charges. A move is essentially removed from the player's arsenal, rather than simply adding a move (which is what a separate keybind does)
And beyond the regular player, if people are trying to test damage numbers and interactions in combat, removing agency from their attacks makes this whole process more frustrating and less efficient, in a way that doesn't seem(?) to provide any positive benefit. At least I personally cannot see any reason to remove regular heavy attacks from our options if rune charges are present

Well heavy attacks aren't being removed, the Rune effect (of Everflame at least) triggers on a charged heavy, it's an addition of damage it doesn't replace the charged heavy
Exactly there's tons of combinations for controller folk to use! Just like Idol activation, it'd work perfectly fine. And then as Envoy says, for PC we can simply press 4. Makes a lot of sense since it's a 4th active ability after our arcanics

Instead of doing that, I propose that the player may simply choose to use a heavy attack, or to use a rune heavy. The only thing we don't know is if that limitation was unique to everflame etc, but right now all we can go off is the explicit information that was presented in that stream - essentially 'heavy attacks will use your rune'

Sirin's spells cast have archer animations, but you can still play the Pact with swords and daggers, doesn't change a thing. Also, I like the Orengall pact for Grace builds too ; it has a sneaky ability to do finisher (transform yourself into a wolf with increase movespeed and stealth) ; you can buff yourself and your allies with more Grace (so more stealth/headshot/finisher damage) and you can summons Spirit Wolves if you need some tanking/distraction
OK but even then it's not inaccessible you're still doing a charged heavy, it just had the Rune effect of fire damage on top
A regular charged heavy, that just uses your weapon in a neat and normal way, is sadly removed from the player's moveset if they have a rune charge present (at least under the current system we saw on dev)
A big magical attack with vfx and additional damage/other rune mechanics is not the same move, from either a gameplay or a visual/roleplaying perspective
I wouldn't say the exact same animation with extra SFX and damage is "removing" it personally
It's like saying they removed Smite by adding Runes effect on Smite now
At least on the devstream it's not a completely different move, it's the normal charged heavy but with a fire effect on top
I understand the argument of "What if I want to do a charged heavy and not use a Rune charge" but I wouldn't phrase it as "I can no longer do charged heavies if I have a Rune"
I get that maybe it's less important to some people to be able to maintain a specific moveset, and that's fine. But if you're trying to test heavy attack damage mechanics, you cannot access that attack until you dispense of rune charges, whereas it'd be far more logical for the player to be able to choose - of their own volition - which attack to carry out. Right now the system removes player choice.
From the roleplayer's perspective, or one trying to capture screenshots/footage, massive flames appearing around your attack when you just want to charge a heavy attack is indeed an entirely different move to a simple strike with your blade (at least in my opinion as someone who likes to get immersed and to enjoy soulframe's more focused, duelling-style combat versus warframe's vfx bonanza!)

If your point is to try to do footage of dueling style combat, then casting spells and using runes flame magic isn't really on topic
Yeah i don’t like them tying rune charges to heavy attacks, i don’t spam HA but i use them to break an enemy’s guard and would prefer the choice of using a charge to be tied to a specific key activation.
You can also NOT pull smite and stock charges of your runes so you don't have rune activation on charged heavy attack
The point is to allow the player to fight how they want to fight.
Why would you want fewer moves, rather than simply adding runes as an option?
The player should be able to choose to do a charged heavy, or choose to use a rune attack. There is no benefit to removing player choice (unless you see a benefit to that restriction that I'm missing?)
This just removes runes from the player's moveset though? Why do that when you can just let the player choose which attack to perform
There are benefits ; first it removes a unnecessary combo of soul-sight+pull smite to trigger the rune in the middle of the combat, then it add more incentives to use charged heavy attack which probably a lot less players than you think are actually using, giving it an even more wooompf effect when the slowest but strongest attack in your move set is used.
The only single downside of this change is that maybe an extremely small subset of player that actually spam charged heavy attacks as their main damaging tool will have to adjust their playstyle. But it's okay because that's still an alpha and thing are changing right and left.
A combo would only be needed for players choosing to use a controller/console, I think most are happy with the fact that they need to use combos when they're choosing to use a more restricted input method. For KBM you'd simply press 4 (or whatever you choose to bind it to).
The combo that used to be used for Idol activation is currently unused, and it worked perfectly fine before (I think it was both triggers or something like that? So you don't have to incorporate spectral sight into it if you don't want to)
Charged heavy attacks are fun and strong on their own, I don't believe the player needs more incentive to use that input necessarily - and for many this wouldn't feel like incentive but just their attacks being messed with, when all they want to do is use their weapon but they can't because they happen to have a charge.

There are other downsides;
- Those who don't spam charged heavies, but wish to sometimes use regular charged heavies in combat, will no longer have the freedom or agency to do so if they have rune charges
- Any player who utilises charged heavies as part of their playstyle, even if they're not spamming them, will have no agency over whether they conserve rune charges whilst fighting a group of smaller mobs on the approach to a larger mob
- If people are trying to enjoy their normal heavy attacks for fun, visual, roleplaying or vibe-based purposes, they cannot do this until they've 'got rid' of any rune charges
- If people are trying to test damage numbers and interactions in combat, removing agency from their attacks makes this whole process frustrating and less efficient for them in a way that is easily avoided by simply having runes be their own input, and charged heavy attacks be their own input

You say it yourself : the only single instances where you wouldn't want to trigger your rune while doing a charged heavy attack is only for footage, testing, or fun ; and in all those instances, you could have had removed your equipped rune or your rune charges or avoided charging it, prior to that, as you can plan to just fool around.
In most gameplay loops, you want to trigger your rune most of the time ; the other instance when you wouldn't, will be when will prepare for a boss, which will be a new form of strategy that will be created with p14 to stock charges before a boss fight and use them with a charged heavy attack to trigger your rune without requiring to smite beforehand. But by planning this strategy, it's normal to have a weaker fight while stocking strength for the incoming boss encounter, and it's not like you will ever be chaining bosses one after the other and not find ways to resplenish your stock of rune charges in between.
in all those instances, you could have had removed your equipped rune or your rune charges or avoided charging it
I don't think this applies to the general player wanting to have fun, or roleplay, or simply have choice over what move they perform with their own weapon.
Specifically for footage/testing, sure, they could completely unequip their rune so that they can use normal charged heavies at will - but why force that? When you can simply have runes be their own input, and charged heavy attacks be their own input?
Regarding the charge stocking, are you implying that the strategy would be to purposefully avoid using charged heavy attacks during combat so that you can conserve runes for incoming bosses? If so, yes I agree that will probably become the strat - but imo (and this is absolutely just my opinion, maybe you feel different) that doesn't sound fun or enjoyable.
It's nice to mix up your combat, to dodge and parry, to time different attacks, to mesh fluidly between lights and heavies and charged heavies. If your only way of not using a rune prematurely is to remove one of those weapon attacks from the playbook, that doesn't feel to me like it's adding fun - just that it's removing one small piece of the fun
Also the female armors are arguably a lot more aesthetically pleasing than the male armors
Although, being heavily french/english renaissance inspired, it makes some sense that males would have what we consider "female-esque" attire XD

Hmm sounds like it could be a bug! While a bunch of us really want a walk toggle, that's not a feature yet (except for the automatic walkspeed reduction in nightfold/hubs) - maybe the game is applying that speed reduction by mistake, a relog could fix it?

There's stag like Howl said but you can also get this set from the Collector, which is a less focused drop pool but great to farm if you need multiple things! It's once every 6hrs so worth a shot

Levelling is per specific item, so if you craft a second copy of the same sword, that second one would be rank 0
Or if you mean reforging with a blessed, yes that resets its rank to 0 to be levelled again

Yep! You'll need to complete the Waste Bear fable first to unlock it, more info on the Fast Travel page

Molten is best here, as the couple extra points of Spirit/Grace won't do much for you.
Personally, I would use Arbearer's since you're going full Courage dump and Greatsword, which will give you more physical and stagger armor.

Is there a way to prevent the captured animal cage from getting sucked up by the Collector during the event? I've tried shooting it like I do the boxes, but it's not coming back down. Do I just need to do the event faster in order to get the key?
The only English connection we use regularly enough is "arbor" which is lattice designed to support vines.
The animal cage during Collector is a little bonus gimmick. If you do a "destroy the Ode'n Bisulcam" tale nearby, collect the Thunderstone, don't destroy the Bisulcam, you can then put the Thunderstone in the animal cage and it will blow the Collector up. If you don't kill all the pre-adds before the cage gets sucked up, it will finish the event without spawning Nimrod.

It works the same. Stagger DMG value - stagger armor value = stagger dealt. Not sure if/how much stagger armor value affects the amount of stagger you can take, like a stagger pool

If you can handle the enemy levels
• Do sparrow tales at the tree in the NE corner of the map.
• Do the Tier 3 ones that say "slay the Banneret in the [DUNGEON]"
• Log off and back of to "refresh" the tales to keep doing Tier 3 over and over
• If you get the "Mock nor Moan" either skip it OR you have to go through the whole dungeon to find all 3x Moaners BEFORE you can destroy them or they will respawn.
• Max daily cap is 16k
• Enclave Favours can get around that daily cap.

I would agree. Whatever plans they have, as not to break people connections or force them to play with people they don't want to, if they open up the world to multiplayer instances I could see it being like Destiny patrols where you can find people if you seek them out or an even atracts them but otherwise you can just play on your own.
That's not me saying what's going to happen, but the team seems to like that players can "do their own thing" without "randoms" messing that plan up

So I've been playing for a few days now and am getting to the point where I want to investigate some of the other pacts/classes. I've got a couple pact fragments that I still need to get mats for but it seems like the biggest hurdle after that is getting prisms that correspond with pacts as well. Am I right to think that if you want to effectively try a new pact, you should also get a corresponding prism for it as well?
No I think your prism is more determined by what weapons and armour you want to use (you have to use the right prism to attune to their requirements)
they do interact with pacts, because they'll scale the arcanics and spirit will improve cooldowns, but reaching your equipment requirements is typically higher priority
I'm not sure I completely follow, I haven't crafted any main weapons yet but I don't see equipment reqs on the crafting page.
I've currently got the Iridis Shaman prism that's specced heavily into Spirit and the Oscelda pact. If I want to change to try out an archer/rogue build, what's the best path to that?
Okay, I just found the equipment reqs. I guess those aren't available to see in the crafting area
Yeah it's a little weird - requirements are shown on the attunement line of the weapon's tooltip once it's owned, but not in its tooltip on the crafting screen haha
If you want to create an archer/rogue, you'd be going with a bow in your primary slot, and then either a dagger or dual swords would fit the vibe for your secondary
There's a few Bows to choose from, they all scale with some amount of grace and then either spirit or courage if they're dual scaling ones. For example the newest bow, Avex (Ode compound bow) scales with grace and courage
Then if you wanted your secondary to be dual swords (Clivers), that'd actually be a great choice because it's the same scaling as Avex (grace and courage again)
Alternatively, you could use Juniper bow (grace and spirit) with Witan dagger (also grace and spirit). etc etc
Your pact is a separate thing, you get to enjoy any pact you want, but for a rogue theme sirin is the one that fits the bill with its invisibility and pickpocketing etc
Wonder if they will give orengalls 3rd ability the same treatment as duelo where it increases your highest virtue

You would be yes, so early game you'd probably want to use a spirit weapon for a bit until you can get more virtue points and more prisms
Other than the prism which distributes your virtue points, your virtues are also influenced by the things listed here on https://wiki.avakot.org/Virtues:

@finite stone that makes sense. So ultimately if I wanted to have options to switch between warrior/rogue/mage archetypes, you'd want to build a loadout to include arcs, weapons, and prisms to better complement each archetype's stengths

you don't even need to unlock the factions, just go inside the enclave and talk to the leader 
I had just seen that looking through the wiki and was kinda what prompted me trying to understand things a bit better
arcs are the premium currency I think you might've meant pacts there? but tbh I'd say pacts are so freestyle you don't even need to match it to the archetype you're aiming for. The joy of Soulframe's building is that you get to craft your own character, you can be a tanky warrior using the oscelda pact and it just works
Outside of pacts, yes you will need your prism to complement the requirements of your weapon and sidearm (and also armour but imo defense is less important than damage)
as in you don't need the medallions for the factions
And yeah, I meant pacts.
One way i'd put it is
Prisms do the bulk distribution of virtues and then you do granular adjustments with talismans and the virtue nodes of the pact arts skilltrees
Also the virtue nodes on the pact arts are the same on all pacts
