Yeah honestly, as long as you learned the game knowing when to parry/dodge isn’t to hard. Combat atm is easy unless you go significantly higher than your or some bosses

best way to compare it with warframe is the character you create in soulframe is your operator/drifter, with the pacts you use being the warframe itself

Is this game better than Warframe? Best to simply try and see if you enjoy it. It is different. The game certainly feels like it was made by same people that are behind warframe though. I would say that if you enjoyed duviri in warframe at any capacity you may enjoy Soulframe. It has different pacing for sure and it is georgous game with mystical feeling to it. Still early stages so a lot is changing or yet to be released.

Changing appearance - once you reach certain stage in the game you will be able to unlock npc Verminia. She allows you to customise your Envoy. I think replaying starting quest also can do that? But I never tried that so can't be certain (you could pick body type then)

there’s 4 types of each joinery, Rusted - Tempered - Polished - Blessed, you seem to have Rusted the lowest one, Polished and Blessed have similar stats but Blessed add an Attunement to one of the 3 virtues to your weapon at the cost of resetting the level to 0

for factions you need high rank to be able to purchase them, also each faction sell a different version, for example, kith of kings sells joineries that add courage virtue to your weapon, alca’s children sell spirit virtue joineries, and rose sells grace virtue joineries

Dungeons don't really drop anything directly, they contain various enemies, agari and chests

usually people look for specific items and then go to the place that item drops, but it's a good idea to eventually put together a list of what each dungeon has

Hello, I don't get how the harmonisation work. Some weapons have one, some have more, some have none. Sometimes it's gray, sometimes it got the right color (red for courage for example). Did I want it colored or not?
And what about the armour? The stat bonuses have symbol near them sometimes, but don't get if it's a cost or a bonuses 🤔

I assume you're talking about the Virtue symbols on weapon and armor? When they are colored that means you meet the requirement for that weapon and will get additional damage scaling, same for armor but armor scaling. Each piece should tell you the requirement you need to meet

For me, they accumulate while doing Factions Tales, as they often make you travel the map and 1) End up in Dungeons where you can find golden chests granting either ; 2) Roaming around makes you find "bird" random small event on compass, where you have to kill a Banneret dropping a key with a golden chest close by ; 3), Having the Avakot Drac shop selling you some, sometimes. You can also buy some at Factions' leader for standing.

For the record there was no mention of full RNG stats on the devstream, what was mentioned is in P15 the plan is for more loot to come directly from drops as opposed to crafting. Weapons that drop will come in tiers like Standard, Noble, Ancient, etc... and have Quirks and Qualities.

What that means exactly isn't known, Steve mentioned "random attributes" which at least to me reads more like "Sword A may have Fire damage and Sword B may have Ice damage" than "Sword A has 299 attack and Sword B has 309 attack"

yes and no, you have three slots at first and a fourth slot added after you equip a rune, the slots are: Attack-Defense-Utility you get the stat depending on what slot you place the totem in, but you can equip a duplicates of the same totem in all slots to get all stats

Interesting little tech I "discovered" for staves, but if you jump and attack mid-air, that second hit comes out lightning fast, faster even than max +cast speed stacks from the magic wep passive. Makes for a fun thing to weave in during combat.

You can avoid doing that most of the times. The drops from crates and barrels are usually the ones you will have hundreds, or thousands in the future. Like with animals, just do it when you feel you need more of those basic common mats. For chest, I always take them 😄

Yes, more or less it's more about weapons and pact. ER will increase the number if virtue points you have which will make things easier, but its negligible in comparison to good gear + skill

Honestly they're not totally comparable. Weapon and Pact level makes your gear more effective, but Totems, Joineries, and Scaling have a huge impact as well. Some players can take a Level 0 Common weapon and beat down on Level 40 enemies with it

Depends on your idea of catching up, the story content wont take too long. Grinding gear might take a bit, especially if you plan to rank everything up.

Any choice is viable so you can pick anything that sounds fun. Courage is more tanky and melee based choice at the start, grace is range bow and spirit uses magical weapons. I think spirit may be a tiny bit more challenging due to lower health values.

There is plenty to do in the game but only few main quests at the moment. I would say just try and enjoy the game itself there is no point you have to rush to or 'end game' stage that you need to push for to be able to play with others if that is the concern.

With temp buffs, you can get 5 from song statues and 10 from potions, making the total 57.
