He has a gimmick, the more adds alive, the more armor he will have.
Focus on nuking the adds before swtiching to him.

You are probably not geared up enough since he does have quite some armour. Though if you have armour ignoring or reducing totems you can beat him even when ignoring the adds that add armour.

On the other hand, medicant has great loot for courage - spirit hybrids and nice looking armour

You can try to get a smite proc from his summons if you already have a weapon with a rune too I recall. It has been a while since I grinded him hard, oscelda has an easy time since there is a lot of water

Yeah been relying on Oscelda. His little summons keep spawning with shields so I am having to run into melee, smack the shield block and then run back and kite.

It's just very slow going. My staff doesn't seem to be doing all that much damage. 50 or so damage usually.

He is definitely a boss you use heavy attacks on, big head and all that. Stoning with a big hit and distracting with birds while you keep your healing up makes it for easy control on oscelda. Damage wise with magic there is a node for magic that allows heavy attacks to pierce through multiple enemies which I found useful.

You can petrify the whole group quite often since they are all melee except for the ranged attacks he sometimes does

But knowing that exploring can reward you with seeds, it might do the opposite.

They are rare, its not like you are going to target farm them, but randomly by exploring you can find some time to time.

okay, so, finally got to do some grinding. Got my seathorn up to 25 without a blessing. I did all of cogah bosses once plus an organ with that and didn't see a single grey bar..now, wazard..was HARD. I only survived on Oscelda with 2 plants up while sitting in water. I don't thin it helps that Wazard is high magic def and I do magic damage..that sucked. And his constant warping makes smiting harder for me, maybe I suck I dunno.

so i totally understand this is preludes and pre alpha and what not. However with that said, i feel like an important like asap fix needs to be the getting launched across the map, when you get hit. half the time i cant even find my frame with my sparrow, or im so far under the water i cant move, and i have to relog. i just got done doing an organ, (the end solo my squad just dissappeared) and i got launched off that thing 9 times. and it wasnt even a barrenette or however you spell it. it was some basic enemies.

Personally that's how I would proceed as a new player:

1. I would follow the tutorial questline to the end (The Steelsinger).
2. Then unlock all the World Trees.
3. After that I would focus on getting all the history Motes.
4. Then get the Faction to rank 2 and get the focused Prism.
5. Complete the rest of the Fables (Shewolf Snared, Brewer of Hues, and Waste Bear).
6. Get the Faction to rank 3 and get a couple of Sacred Shimmers and craft the Talismans to unlock the other Factions.
7. Then farm the Agari/Faction for stuff I'm missing while mastering weapons and Pacts.

This however is based on the assumption that you already know how the game works, some shuffling is expected when playing naturally.

Those are the fast travel tokens.

To reach rank 5 you need 80k, which means it takes 15 gameplay hours to reach rank 5 in 1 enclave. (Without spending anything on the shop).

There is no death penalty (yet), though in case of Crypt you get booted out.
You can either chose to respawn at the shrine, or use the bird to make a corpse run.
Bird time is limited, but usually enough, if you don't manage to get to your body in time you resurrect on the shrine anyway.

The regenerating health one is Nimrod?
You can disable that by using Cloudquell, or simply overpower him.

For crosses, you mean over the level?
If so that means they have too much armor for your method of attack, try heavy attacks, armor strip/bypass totems, or simply level up your weapons.

Also keep in mind white robbed mages are healers, so those might be healing the bosses, which is kinda common in the Curlail's siege.

Sieges are different yes, but in theory, normal mode and cogah are on two separate timers. Before, you could kill a boss in normal, move a bit away, pop a cogah and kill same boss immediately. I have not tried it in P13, last time I did that was P11.
