I just want to take a moment to appreciate Soulframe and the absolutely fantastic job Digital Extremes has done so far.

I genuinely love this game. From the atmosphere, the world design, the lore, and the overall gameplay feel — everything has such a unique soul (no pun intended). You can really see the passion and creativity the team poured into every detail. The environments feel alive, the combat feels meaningful, and the progression feels rewarding instead of rushed.

At the moment, I’ve reached everything the game currently has to offer. I’ve collected all the runes, weapons, armor sets, and pact + mods available right now — and the journey to get them was incredibly fun and satisfying. Exploring, grinding, experimenting with builds… it never felt boring because the world itself pulls you in.

What excites me the most is knowing this is only the beginning. I seriously can’t wait to see what Preludes 13 brings in the future. If this is the foundation, then the future of Soulframe looks insanely promising. New systems, new areas, new gear, deeper lore — I’m ready for all of it.

Huge respect to Digital Extremes for their transparency with the community and the love they show their players. You can tell they’re building Soulframe with long-term vision, not just short-term hype.

by far the easiest method is to use pickpocket with sirin to guarantee drops, but you should be able to get them relatively easily without that too

Then I follow the bird for the story. Sorry, but it's very peculiar.

You can toggle sprint, I do it. Set your sprint/roll key and in accessibility turn off hold to sprint. It's not "instant" Hold sprint for like 1 - 2 seconds then you can let go.

So I just made my character, and as I was trying the "spirit" pact and as I was running around it seemed to accidentally confirm the choice for me just pressing the movement keys. From what i've read I know you can eventually use any weapon and whatnot but if I had preferred to play "courage" or the warrior style am I stuck for a bit, at a disadvantage, have different abilities? Or is there a way to reset?

No way to reset. You'll have to hit rank 3 with your current faction and buy sacred shimmer to build talismans for the other factions. It's faster to get 2 from starter faction.

It's not that bad. After finishing the Deer quest, you will have the Garren Hood pact, which is basically kinda "warrior". => it's very early in the game

Yeah I was just a little upset that I was either spamming the click to auto and clicked confirm accidentally, or pressing movement keys confirmed it for me, but who knows maybe i'll enjoy the mage and it's reassuring you can swap it around after.

And you do not have to stick to magick weapons, in fact Oscelda’s abilities are fun for melee and has a heal which is perfect for learning the game.

@finite stone I'm gunna be honest the parry stability cost while using mora's hand with a Verite (-15% stability cost, was going to compare it with a Gildaur that gives 50%) is so low I am not sure I will be able to tell the difference between the joineries

this is the stagger I got from blocking the explosive arrow (held down block once I saw the animation)

this is the stability cost from blocking last second (same enemy shot the arrow) and I'm saying blocking last second rather than parry cuz it seems arrows don't have a parry animation? probably cuz you aren't likely to be near the enemy while parrying one but still weird

so yeah since the bar moved up only a couple pixels I honestly think there's no point in doing a comparison especially since this is the only "parry" I'm aware of that does stagger damage

The weapons don't have to be fully levelled to sell them but since they provide account XP and combat arts it's best to only sell levelled ones
