I mean, you CAN go with weapons that don't scale with your main stat... but the scaling really means a lot of potential damage. In higher level areas you might not do enough damage to penetrate enemy armor

They're meant to be a rapid fire combo weapon. Feybalt adds stacking damage on hit so it can scale very well once you have it.
