Something called “Arena”, when people type “H arena” in chat, ask them to invite you and it is basically a room where monsters that give high XP keep respawning for 20 waves. You can get a Weapon from lv0 to lv 30 in about 2 runs

Yes, it can be buggy but also keep in mind that you can only spawn a maximum of two wolves without abusing any bug so that might explain why some wolves die instantly. Also some bosses like the magical ones seem to be good at dealing with wolves so they kinda get 1 shot but the best strategy in the game right now is to have a great Smite build and this is where Orengall is so powerful cause his 3rd ability gives you a very high chance of smite + alot of Courage so if you have a strong Courage smite build, you can solo Cogah with Orengall just by sending your Wolves to tank, getting your Smite using third ability then melting any and all enemies…

You can find lots of them around enemy settlements so places with houses and walls etc where enemy took over

Alca's children is one of the factions, you also have kith of kings and silent rose.
Your starting pact is decided by the pact you chose and you can swap between the factions by wearing the corresponding pendant (requires you to buy sacred shimmer)

I think there is a cooldown time after the rune is used, I've noticed that smiting right after it's finished doesn't always activate it again.

Its a Forma in the sense that certain Joinery's can change the Virtue a weapon scales with.

And its an Archon Shard in the sense that each Joinery can add damage and a special effect on the weapon. Like life steal, better headshot dmg, throwing dmg etc.
