armour reduction debuffs don't stack, you're basically just refreshing it with each hit

For example, if you hit something with a -12 armour reduction then a -10 reduction, the -10 will replace the -12.

How long that debuff lasts tho, idk

Also for your question about arrow hail, I was kinda trying to test that for a vid thing, and honestly, based on the animation and glow, I'd assume it's considered a charged shot no matter if you hold it or not. It's an odd one

Was testing it via smites but the amount of arrows kinda make up for it if it's not a charged shot.

Thank you, does the same principle apply to Pact abilities? For example, if me and my team mate use the Orengall ability to increase the chance of smite, will it stack if we do it at the same time or simply gets overwritten?

You only need one person for the buff, so yeah.

And I know when using Howl + really min-maxing for smite for bows, you can get to around 50%.

The more points in courage the better since the ability, and the Smite increase, scales with courage.

I wouldn't focus too much on "meta". The game is rough, very early and has limited content. No need to rush it. The virtues are getting redone, the combat arts are getting redone, there are going to be other big changes. Run around, explore, enjoy and play things for fun. You can always dial in meta later if you want to focus on specific content as it comes down the line.

my friend just downloaded the game, but when he tries to invite me, he gets a notification saying that "The mission is being played in offline mode". Does he need to get through enough of the intro quests before I can join his world?

Wife's account level is over 2 above me, but she's only finished one weapon more than me. Same number of pacts as well. Heard motes make a difference, but our maps are very similar as well.

the main things that influence account level are motes, weapons, and pacts. Also, 1 max weapon can definitely bump you by 2 account levels (especially at lower levels)

30m is really nice for Harmony farmers (dupe Runes) and people trying to get their first Rune. It is massive honestly. By the time you finish a cycle, the first in the cycle will have respawned, so you can keep on doing it indefinitely.

Stability is that small white gauge around your health that keeps filling up as you take hits from enemy attacks. Once full, it will put you in a vulnerable state where you are knocked down mostly, then it empties so you regain your footing.

If you are a ranged player or parry every attack, you will mostly be fine. Keep an eye out for the small gauge. It is rather difficult to notice until you do, then it becomes clear as day.

Flat damage reduction does that sadly. DE is doing the 10-3=7 formula, so you either deal so much damage or deal 1.

If power is what you seek, certain Runes and getting your envoy rank as high as possible, as well as maxing out your Pacts will guarantee you steamroll through content to the point it becomes a cakewalk. May I introduce you to The Torrent for bows or Flitsmoke for short blades?

To me, games have become so easy, that I play like 5, and of those 5, maybe 1 is somewhat difficult. Games lost their appeal that I am desperate for challenge. People always say the same nonsense of "If it is so easy, why not make it challenging?". Challenge is either short-lived or died a long time ago, or it is in garbage games that simply do not appeal to me. I am left either hoping for some at all at this point, so I will take whatever I can. Oh, yeah, let me not forget the "elitist" take of bringing up challenge in a conversation, because apparently, if they do not consider it fun, it is not fun for everyone.

Hey, I have been playing since Prelude 3, but now I am getting stuck when cut scenes start, everything just stops, I can jiggle the camera and it wiggles, but my character is just standing there. I cannot move, I cannot end cutscene, I have to restart the game. This happens at the end of the bear quest dungeon, I relog and have to start over.

Has anyone ever experienced this?

Vadagar Stag spawns in corrupted zones at night, and can be the final boss of Faction Tales

Has anyone else used the Nettle (side arm, short blade) and just whiffed the majority of it's upward stab heavy attacks?, it feels like it just doesn't have a hitbox for that attack. I've been having to use a light attack first, so it does a different kind of heavy attack afterwards.

When a Wyld weapon glows, it's next heavy attack (charged attack, for the bow) will do extra damage. As for the glow on the pact pauldron itself, I have no idea.

it was for me, woudlnt add the game in msi format, wouldnt extract using wine, proton woouldnt load it. had to rename the msi to exe to add game from desktop steam version on Steamdeck then change it back from exe to msi to unpack it . there are lots of other games that have alphas / betas in steam, can we manually do it yeah, but if there is a simple method of click and go from steams interface i would prefer that. So thats all - thats why i asked if it was coming soon. the sidee load process made me want to throw my srteam deck.

Might be a setting option from Warframe that carried over to soulframe but was never fully implemented. You should see a noticeable change when adjusting the slider without needing to apply/exit out of settings to see the changes made.
