What you need is a personal guide. Maybe a way to hire another player to assist where that player gets some perk or reward for doing so. This would encourage players to help other players. I'm seeing a lot of players in the game that are very confused about one aspect or another of this game.

Can someone explain to me what does Ode Tempest do now in high-end content beside slight stability damage and a low chance of applying Smite on enemies (if they can be Smited)? I just read the patch notes since I started using the Pact recently again after enjoying the others for a while and from my testing in-game and reading the notes, it feels simply hollow on anything above basic level enemies.

But the stagger dies off quickly against anything not basic and Smite does not affect a lot of high-end enemies as stated in my post.

Weapons already take care of low level enemies when you max them out, so what am I doing with it now? It is by far my most loved Pact aesthetically and before the nerfs, thematically, but now? Now it feels like I am just running it as a fashion statement and that is it.

I am sure people have already shared more than me in much more detail what they think of it. I am just disheartened that this is how they course corrected a broken Pact, which to be fair, it was. I get pre-alpha, but what was the plan short-term, flavour?

They clearly can and do balance Pacts properly - I mean, look at the Bear Pact! They nerfed it beautifully, and now feels proper, same with the flame Pact! Despite slight issues and minor problems, everyone is mostly pleased with these. Ode, on the other hand, just feels like an afterthought, which is not fair for the fans of the Pact.

When you approach a location, it will show a number of dark little circles with eyes in the "nodes" at the top under the name, that is the number of motes currently at the location.
You'll need to come back another time for more

Also note, not all of them spawn at once, when you enter a location you get some icons indicating how many are findable now.

I get a fixed spawn when I do a very specific sequence of things.
Log in near Fort Curlail -> Nightfold and drink Cogha -> Fort Curlail Siege -> Fort Kearnhold Siege -> Go north toward the wall -> Turn left to go toward Impidh.
At that point I always find a spawn midway to Impidh, if at any point of this sequence I Nightfold again I will not.
Which might imply something about RNG seed generation that I have not enough knowledge to figure out.

• There are 5 additional pacts on top of the 3 starting ones
• There are a bunch of weapons to find fragments for and craft, also some armor pieces
• You can play the flute to collect totems from animals, it is weirdly fun
• There are 2 repeatable sieges
• There are procedurally generated caves and ruins, although the gen pieces are not many so they feel samey

Is the Courage stat truly the primary dmg influencer for all pacts? Asking only because I went full Grace and saw a big jump in my "Attack" stat with a Grace weapon equipped. Vice-versa, I saw my "Attack" stat dramatically drop when I swapped to full spirit and used the same Grace weapon.

As for weapons, all weapons are attuned to a certain virtue, their damage increases if you spend points in that virue upto a point (the cap varies with each weapon). After that, the remaining virture points will only affect pact arcanics.

Tethren scales very well with Courage, but so do other pacts. There are however multiple versions of most weapons that scale with different virtues, its not strictly necssary to reforge and relevel one to play with a different build. I for example have a grace bow sirin, a courage orengall and a spirit oscelda loadout all saved, each with different weapons/armors/etc.

I've killed grey health bar bosses before, and they got them down to 1/3 so they're getting damage across anyways

sounds more like a mechanical problem. Either gotta stagger or stun them when they do that I think

As for stuns, they have increased stagger resist while healing

Ah. I was getting him to 1/3 health, then he'd use his ability to heal himself quite quickly. it's because I wasn't noticing that he was doing an "exhausted" animation which was my invitation to walk over and L click to finish him.
