Yeah I learned there's a bug sometimes if you try to reset your point sometimes you have to get out of the arsenal and get in in order to reapply the points.

Honestly I don't think this game's encounters really facilitates dodging and parrying style combat, since enemy aggression doesn't change when they are grouped up, so you either have to slowly peel them off, or have dudes ping pong you around from behind. That type of combat is great for 1v1 show down with a boss, but half the time there's like, 5 dudes with the boss

There's just not much reason to get close to enemies. Tethren is the "melee" pact and the best way to play it by far is throwing sidearm short blades.

It's cool that they added stuff like riposte and specter strike to try and reward you for fighting close, but it's still more effort for something ranged attacks can do just as well
