I wasn't considering CC, that's a mechanic that you are expected to avoid/play around. I mean things like cutscenes, smite animation, etc. I could swear I've been killed during the rescue critters cutscenes...not sure about the music taming game

I actually wouldn't have a problem if heavy attacks and bombs interrupted smite, that would be a mechanic you have to play around...its the taking damage while trying to use a clearly important mechanic that also removes my ability to avoid said damage that bugs me.

That's just bow working differently, given that your light is a charged attack and your heavy a special function, like throw.

Your charged light is counted as your heavy for things that affect such.

hi jusit a question to those who have used Ode tempest, whenever I use the atmo-sphere (the blue ball) and bosses hit me, it immediately gets used up, which when i was looking at videos didnt seem to be the case there. am i doing something wrong or did something change? im running 27 courage and 22 spirit

That was a recent change for its rebalance, yeah. It got made duration-based, and every hit shaves off some time from that duration which also ticks down as normal. Bosses, however, end the effect in one hit with any attack, which should probably get adjusted.

You can still get one reflect off though, which can knock down the boss depending on what attack you absorb.

Changes location every 6 hours and its location is the same for everyone, so it can be useful to call it out.

It's still good for tanking, it'll just get shut off immediately in boss fights so all of your skills are largely useless.

They overnerfed it a bit in that regard when it already didn't have much boss utility even before the nerf.

Its damage field, now a stagger field, doesn't work on bosses, your grenade pops early on touching a boss and does barely any damage, and now your barrier gets instantly shut off.

It's still a good pact, when there's not a boss near you.

Depends on what you've done so far. Some of the quests don't unlock until you come across them in the world.

Where do you get the key to unlock the wolf cub cages? I found one of the cages, the big wolf comes out and kills the last guard but I can't open the cage.

(also note that it's a manual pickup, you have to interact with it unlike most loot)

For any rat totems, keep an eye out around towns/villages or swamps. Use spectral sight to highlight them too, they're sneaky! 🐀

It's all RNG - charm a deer, for example, and you can get any deer totem in existence. Keep going and you'll get the ones you need eventually!
