It scales the same on all three, badly. 40 Courage will be no different from 20 Courage, 10 Spirit, and 10 Grace.

It scales far better when you apply a blessed to it, turning monoscaling but at a far higher value.

Compared to the other weapons, I'd argue Greatsword is on the weaker end. Beaver rune is bugged, so it's not dropping. It doesn't have a Cogah/second rune that makes it busted like the 5 other weapons. Verite is still a lacking joinery compared to Feybalt and Quicksilver, so Gildaur is probably the play. GS playstyle, imo, is a bit clunky with its sprint attack

each point increases the weapons damage but all weapons (except Paragon) have a cap to that

No, that's not what I'm implying. I want to see a new sprint sweep sprint attack, instead of the weird one we currently. Maybe buff the dmg just a tad for heavy attack. It would be nice to see GS be a weapon that rewards heavy attacks. I'm hoping the next update they add a new run that changes the playstyle a bit

you already have a sprint sweep attack tho

so in general, Courage = ability strength, Spirit = ability duration, Grace = ability range.
but not all abilities scale with all and most tend to run just a lotta Courage but for some the other 2 are useful aswell.
it's not a huge deal if you do/don't spread out the virtues
