You might still want to relog, but if you have a goal you might be able to move in that direction without the bird.

This quest guides you to your starting faction. If you are both going different places the bird gets confused and breaks.

Additionally, playing main quests in multiplayer may not be wise. They are notoriously buggy when in multiplayer and you may find your progress locked or impeded.

If you've just received the quest from Verminia, try relogging. It's a common bug.

You often need to relog for the game to acknowledge your sap tap existing.

MP is not seamless, if that is your problem. Anything they do in your world needs to also be done in theirs.

If you experience issues with something not proccing, a relog usually fixes it.

we all just started today. not sure if the "frag" you mean is the stag i got from the quest. but they said they got nothing when the quest finished.

By frag I mean fragment, cus the piece in your inventory is used to craft the usable pact. First I'll ask you to make them check your inventory for that same item, and if it isn't there check an avakot merchant to see if they'll sell the fragment. They should if the fable has been flagged as completed.

This is a set location were one always spawns, exactly on that little rocky square, which is a cave entrance.

It's delivers a chunk of stagger to their stagger meter, if it fills then they get knocked on their ass as normal.

It's not very strong though, so at higher levels it doesn't do all that much.

Gives you an unknown amount of stagger resistance too though.

I use a very generically good setup for pacts. Max Akin, Voided, and Sympathy, they are all very good. Then I max the +virtue node that I main, which is Courage so Mora's Pride, then choose whichever passive I like more and spend the rest of my points in it.

However, that is preference. All I'd say you should do is max Akin and Sympathy.

Everything else is optional.

Akin is your ability recharge rate. Sympathy full heals you on smite so hard that you're functionally immortal for the next five seconds or so. Voided just ups smite damage. Not necessary but very handy sometimes.

Tends to turn a smite into a one-shot.

Rat is fairly common, Beaver + Squirrel is the best for single-target DPS.

If you want AoE I'd choose one of those and Rat.

It's a somewhat tight AoE but still pretty useful cus enemies tend to cluster.

Like two rats in attack slots unless one is a variant so they have two effects.

'Builds' are just use either Rat or Duck on defense for +armor, or Deer for +stagger resistance if you're desperate for that for some reason. Use Squirrel on utility for +smite unless Duck is more useful for that particular weapon, like for Bows cus it's +smite on charged shot and that's most of what you'll be using. Then for attack usually it's Beaver + Squirrel for armor reduction and attack speed, if you only have one attack slot then I'd prioritize Squirrel first.

Rat is also an option in attack if you want a small AoE on hit.

Anyone else feel like the game is having trouble deciding a direction? Sirin is in last place cus it relies on finishers to get a lot of its damage and the first skill is still bugged and doesn't trigger them properly.

It isn't bad, but it takes more effort for the same or even less payoff than other pacts.

There are some bugs to keep cogah effect after you leave party, die, etc.

I don't know exactly how the cogah effect after leaving party works, whether it's the leader or someone who joins, but I do know it exists.

I do know that if you enter and clear a dungeon (group or not), you keep cogah until you relog. You can enter nightfold solo, die solo, etc and you keep effect.

I'm not entirely sure since you get the fragments from the statues so maybe see if you can craft a second one. But I think it used to be better cuz of smite chance and that got nerfed to be the same as the courage bow from what I remember

Put all your points into Grace, and make all your totems the highest defensive points you can slot.
Bromius scales off of total defense.
Don't start throwing blessed joineries around unless you are 100% sure why you are using them
