I asked this earlier. Essentially it works like a frame/prime frame in warframe. Small stat boosts but nothing seriously different.

They do share skill trees and skill tree points, so instead of getting 30 total points (as in you only had tethren and not wyld) you would have 60 total for one tree that they share

You don't lose progress of the faction you left. So if you had 10k xp at level 3, you stay with that for that faction and can come back later to utilize it

Hello. I am new to this game. I was wondering why I can't level my weapon skill tree past 5 points? I gain weapon ranks as usual during combat but I don't get any points for the weapons skill tree.

each weapon gives 5 points to its respective skill tree, over the course of the 30 ranks. You only get these ONCE per weapon

so levelling the same weapon over and over (including if you re-craft it) won't help

okay, hopefully this helps, but the start of Steelsinger is where my marker is over to the right. there'll be a group of enemies there and a thing you need to pick up to start the quest, your sparrow will lead you to where you gotta take the item (it's a heavy thing so you can't use your weapons while holding it, so be careful)

Weapons have the 5 art points per 30 ranks thing. Pacts give you an art point for each rank, and the Wyld versions (if you have Founders, or whenever they release those to be accessible for free) will stack their points with the original versions for a total of 60 for those pacts specifically (both the normal and Wyld versions get access to all those points). In all cases, levelling an item only gives those points the first time you reach each rank that gives an art point

I have dermak undercity, a bunch of things with symbols I cant read, world tree, and kith of kings enclave. and the Gareen rood area i guess, can i expand the map somehow? it's mostly fog

Dermak Undercity is a dungeon. The ones you can't read, you need to get those Motes to gradually uncover the name of each location

as you find World Trees, more of the map will uncover itself, but you do need to venture into the fog to find those trees (you can see the markers within the fog, though it's not always easy to see)

depends what you want it to do. I've been enjoying using Rat for damage to nearby enemies on Attack, but Attack speed is a good contender. Smite chance is also generally a good thing especially if you have a rune for it

when you enter a location, the scrambled name will show, with a couple of notches around it, and some of those notches will have a little soot sprite kind of symbol - for every soot sprite that shows, that many Motes have spawned in that location for you to find. They generally glow a bit and have a sound when you're close by. They kinda look like a flock of fireflies from a distance

once you find all the Motes that have spawned, you can relog, then return to the location, and more Motes will likely have spawned, if you haven't already gotten them all

those animals have something wrong with them - you can try to smite them and it'll give you a music minigame. if you succeed, you'll cure them and get a Totem out of it - which you can install into your weapons (right-click your weapons in the arsenal to open that menu - outer slots are for totems, inner slots are for a rune)

generally a good idea to help a lot of the animals you see to collect the totems. each totem is bound to a specific weapon type

so you can get different animal-weapon combinations over time

you also get the totems whenever you rescue animals from cages

Does anyone know what this thing is? I found it in the Neath'uns near the end of the dungeon. When I walked over it gave me a prompt to pick it up, but I wasn't guided anywhere really. At least not till I left the Neath'uns. That's when it brought me to Tuvalkanes old place. Just like with The Steelsinger quest. But nothing else happened. Ok, seems like i figured out new magick rune (The Hollowing).
Hit to mark. Consecutive hits stack damage.
Enemy dies, mark explodes and deals stacked damage in neat AoE (and staggers everyone).

Still not really what is written on the rune itself, but it still feels pretty good.

Every rune is weapon class specific.
Magick weapons have two runes now.

1. Archstorm. Every attack hitting an enemy marks it. After ~3 seconds mark explodes dealing Voltaic damage in some AoE.
2. The Hollowing. First attack hitting an enemy marks it. Consecutive hits stack damage of this mark. On enemy death mark explodes releasing (Arcanic(?)) damage in AoE. AoE is noticeably larger than Archstorm rune one.

Sirin is by far the "weakest" currently. Tethren and Oscelda both are VERY strong. Propably some of the best once currently.
Both are easy to use.

In the end go with what you enjoy just keep in mind that one of them currently feels quite a bit weaker ^^

Sure, in dungeons that use the Glaides tileset or Glaides dungeon you can SOMETIMES find a room with dead trees and fog in it. In the middle a single deer statue.
If you trigger that statue you get monster spawned. (the once you kill and THEN finish of with pull smite)
They come in waves.
Start with 1 and go up to infinity? 9999? xD not sure we stopped yesterday at lvl 190 since tankiness was getting wild xD

Right, so was Ode Tempest until they obliterated Ode xD from invulnerability to a bit more armour xD
They completly changed how the abilities worked because it was too strong.
Same will happen with Osceldas stun.
