Keep in mind that the Envoy gains exp indirectly, you need to level up Weapons and Pact to gain Envoy exp, killing stuff should work, and then switch up stuff to level new stuff.

Trees are the ones that reveal the map, which is a reward of its own. (can find the map in Avakot.org if you want spoilers)

Motes are the glowy yellow stuff you find on locations that reveal the name.

All Pacts unlock skills over time; the corresponding weapon is variable depending on what your build is and what Joineries you have access to (IE you can used Blessed joineries to change a weapon's attunement to whatever stat you want).

I've been playing for 2 days now and have never seen a faction fable on the map (I've done an Invitation quest, and I'm wearing faction talisman - not sure if that's mandatory?). I'm in a group with a person from a different faction most of the time, they started playing the same time as me and also have never seen any faction fables on their map. So after the initial few quests there are some more you can find just by exploring, the other 2 major gameplay loops right now are:

Faction Tales, which progresses your Faction and has various rewards

Agari runs, which are the name for the various sub-bosses, and the siege events, which happen at 2 of the forts around the world.

There's also the Cogah variant of these bosses, which are harder and drop different rewards, you can access these by drinking the Cogah potion, crafted at ancestor Verminia once you've found her

Endless is a term for a specific tile in the Glades dungeon, where interacting with a statue will spawn waves of enemies increasing in level that go on forever (or until you leave/die)

People use that room to level stuff, so if they find one they'll often invite others

Well you can have 2 weapons 🙂 a main and sidearm, your abilities are tied to your Pact

And while those only have 3, they do also have 2 passives which can be pretty impactful

They do when you find a Rune for them! Every weapon can be slotted with a Rune which activate different buffs when you Smite. From setting your weapon on fire to making you invisible when performing a stealth finisher

That being said, there are multiple quests, ancestors to find, beasts to free, armor/weapon/pacts to craft and upgrade. Tons of exploration. Plus an amazing dev team who actually listens to their fans and puts players at the forefront of every decision they make.

I'm not overly familiar with the mechanic, but here, reforging lets you put Joineries (stat bonuses) on a weapon at the cost of some resources.
Blessed Joineries act kinda like a Forma by resetting the rank and changing the attunement (but otherwise identical to Polished ones).
Only one Joinery can be put on a weapon, but you can change it later.

Pretty much.
Keep in mind you can switch Pacts later, with the one you have the Wyld for having extra points, you are not locked into anything (except gender for now).
(and the Wylds will be farmable later on).
Tethren is the melee archetype, Oscelda is the support archetype, and Sirin is the ranger/rogue archetype.

If you were doing that in her world it most likely means she got the drops cause the world was hers and the quest should become available to you as well once you go back into your own world, i guess (still, i'm not sure so take it with a grain of salt)

i'm new to this thing, but is there a way to get new gear and weapons? i've crafted one (1) dagger, and i like it, but that took terribly long to get one weapon, and every time i try to use it the enemy health is greyed out like they're invincible

Kinda, you can Bestitch (Transmog) into the Helmless appearance, then you can apply it to any helm.

You should be able by going into the nightfold and change your helmet, idk if that removes it completely or it just hides it tho

Other quests we did together are still completed with the result, like guy with baby, and the blacksmith are in my night hold. It is listed under my fables, as complete.
