Drops from the Vadagar Stag, which is a corrupt version of the Torment Stag you fought in the tutorial, can be found in various ichor pools at night or as a boss at the end of a tier 3 Faction Tale

Because I've set up with 40+ stability, maxed out rooted passive from pact and activate tethren's 3rd ability for even more stagger resistance and I'll still get knocked over constantly and can't get a single greatsword hit on a boss because anything they do just interrupts my swings

so the number on the top right of my char is 40+, yet i get spanked by a pack of 20+ mobs. If i wanna kill even one 30 mob I have to cast damage boost to turn they hp bar from grey to red. let alone that some abilities have little counterplay and i just get one shot 😄

it's really down to which one do you vibe with the most

bromius with either double magic for max armor values (stability and magic armor defensive totems) or magic primary and flyblades secondary (same thing, both stability and magic armor defensive totems with their respective runes). Run the best armor pieces you have, you want to max out your total armor stat and have as high courage as possible. you can do absurd damage with rump thump this way. flyblade secondary, while nerfing your damage a little, offers great utility in the form of constant smites and insane slows.

You have to find a dying big tree with big spear stuck in it. Remove the spear will clear the fog on the map around that area.

Where did you read this? There is an ability on all pacts called Rooted that gives you increased stagger resistance, but Tethren specifically doesn't have any additional defense to stagger to our knowledge.

One issue that it made me notice because I was trying to play much more positionally, is that enemies tend to do some big repositioning slides that mess with my space perception.

Enemy level doesn't corresponds exactly with your equipment level... but it is a good enough indicator.
Generally if you start see X on enemies you are in a too high level area and might want to turn back to a lower one.

From what Ive heard the pacts and weapons should become availible for f2p. They dont want another excalibur prime

Ngl I mostly just use the bird to try and pull up the compass or leave a dungeon
