Yeah, I spent the entire day yesterday farming those Maces. I got around 200 of them and not a single one was Legendary. I did find one with 6 Tempers though, but no smite or voltaics.

No. Sinecure are ichor-based life. Ichor is antithetical to carbon-based life.
with the tempers we got rn, yeah, 4 is about wher ei would put the absolute limit. you would still ahve a full profile for a weapon, but also will have to choose what to prioritize and will have to leave good tempers behind
it's also so much better for balance, as it actually elt the tempers be impactful and not marginal to not make every tempered weapons either op or underpowerred withotu a perfect build

If you level a mace, all maces that drop later drop at the level of that mace

yup, the goal is to effectively equate dropped grind and fragment grind in term of effort, so dropped can be used right away but will need you to build it up, while fragment weapons need to be grinded first but are at top level right away
Can anybody tell me what should I do if I'm missing Duhk Halic? Had all of the trees purified for quite some time and did the island when the swimming went in, but somehow never got the fragment to craft it; do I report it as a bug or something else?

i'm mixed on those tho, because, i like the buffs, but thyem being 24 hours and so good means that everytime you come back to play you'll kinda have to roam around and get buffed back up

to me it's jsut that it would make no sense to not have one, especially in a game with so much little details and things to discover. they would have to actually slow progression to a snail pace to not have player progress faster than they can enjoy each zones,a nd most importantly, than they can make them

which is kinda funny in a way, as WF is like, the polar opposite of D2, since wf is the game with some of the most atrocious core system i've seen, but with actual devs that are doing their absolute best to keep it running

multiple games have done it. so it's not like there isn't precedents. out of my head i can alread point to two methods, one is having jsut, the map scale around "player power" (total virtue points and the likes, most ARPG goes that route), or have the usual mmo thing of having the player themselves be adjusted to the zone they are in.
honestly its more of d2 having core stuff like gunplay and enemies very good with rest being wee bit above bare bones with few exceptions that held down by management being bungie
then there is wf lacking severly on gunplay feel and enemies tend to be just padded stormtroopers, but boggus amount of diff systems that are quite exapanded with some abandoned (conclave, minigames like frame fighter)
also, if not for content, we would still absolutly need some form of scalign for multiplayer. huge power discarity don't make for a fun coop, so somethign to equalize it when playing with friends is an absolute must
Both of which make player progression feel lacking in a lot of ways. A lot of MMOs we've seen try it eventually remove it.

you are forgetting the one biggest WTF of warframe tho, player having fixed stats while everything else is scaling, with the power progression jsut being applying multipliers to things
simple system that gets out of hand if things arent nerfed and buffed properly over time
there were attempts like rivens but they turned out to be a mistake which only made problem worse

i hope one day that, each faction leader has its own progression system like orlick were we can learn their lore and perhaps make it into a little side quest story line. the end goal for Jotar should be that we can marry mora to become the Fire king/queen

MMOs, but Sf isn't really one of those, tho. it's a live service game with a single character and permanent progression. we don't have the option of just making a new character to reexperince things, so making whole chunks of the game obsolete for daring to progress feel like a dumb choice.
in sf case, i think a better comparison would be if you would play an arpg like grim dawn or D4, and essentially only be able to grind and play in the very last part of the game because the rest of the map will not grow with you. it would feel terrible to only having a minuscule play area
While we agree, content should remain relevant, we don't think autoscaling is a good solution

There seems to be a bug where after pulling a spear from a world tree the map gets fogged over until your close and reopen

lol, it's not even simple, that's the worse part. but yeah, it's something that needed constant balancing effort that it never got outside of spot balance changes. i'll also say it, if balance pass would have actually been more common in that game, not only would it be better now, but there would not be such a fear of nerfs, since poeple would jsut be used to balance pass, especially since those also contain buffs

autoscaling is but ONE options, i mentionned two ways, but they are far from the only ones. AC origins and odyssey, iirc, have a progressive one, where essentially things scale around your unlocks, thus, constantly reminding you of your progression. Skyrim does it by unleashing stronger and stronger variant of enemies to populate places. there are many options
Could maybe see them having different "legions"
So like the current Red legions are the MR 1-5 fodder
Then Blue legion for 5-10
Etc
So you still get a sense of progress due to more elites and new legions coming for your head
could be, me i like that one a bit less because it essentially makes some enemies disapear after a while, and tend to actually homogenize all the regions

So you'd always find them near the college, and they'd always be basically just bowled over
So each legion has some set zones, but the roaming enemies and camp settlers do change legions

Some areas being able to be bowled over doesn't feel like necessarily a bad thing.

If you're still on Red enemies and see a Blue fortress, and get wrecked it tells you Blue is stronger and to improve
Then you level up and see Blue enemies taking over from red, and it feels like the Ode are responding to you as a threat
contesting mechanic could work to make all regions relevant
diff lvl legions switching with eachother depending on how much pushback they are getting in one
Starter areas still have strongholds for Red legion, so if you're looking to challenge a relevant stronghold it encourages you to go to new regions
however, with that, you actually don't preserve the actual feel of a region.
Remember, enemy progression can be both vertical AND horizontal. We already have some for of danger scaling in the game rn, as each sub regions notably has different type of enemies, with a larger and larger set of tools to fight agaisnt. if you make every zones of midrath the same level, the starter ones would still feel easier and aknoledge your progression, as that zone is naturally less "equiped" to take you on, as your own arsenal and toolbox has expanded.
it's the one part everyone does forget tho
While you're right the feeling can change, we don't think having small areas you can stomp over is necessarily bad. Being able to stumble across one and just crush it definitely reminds you of how far you've come. Most of the map scaling, totally fine. But curating a castle siege to be for a set level only kinda encourages you to go find stronger sieges, imo.

Fallout New Vegas taught us that anything calling itself a Legion is evil.
They have ramped up the enemy patrols though and i like it, it actually feels like a occupation now and i get to practice more.
those small pockets would still essentially be spots you can't get enjoyment from outside of performatively aknowledge your progression tho. Like, to thins, i would say that a better solution would then be a "level de-sync" option, either a map wide toggle for your instance, or a potion you can use to get a small burst of scaled fun. Like, maybe it's jsut me, but i genuinly don't think the urge of getting your power reaffirmed by crushing a low level zone is something that frequent. Like i don't think it's something so much design effort should be focused on for how much it's going to be needed. Like, i genuinly feel like it's something you should maybe give a player a way to do, but not necessarly build the whole game around pleasing.
Like, from games i've already played, they tend to let you just turn off something to just lower your own difficulty. For Sf, i could see somethinglike an "anti-cogah" potion i guess, you drink it and you get a little bit of fun "sandbox" esperience

I like having low level areas in the game, Its where i fight to learn the enemies move sets and practice parrying multiple enemies at a time without the risk of dying. Iâd argue itâs an excellent training ground for combat that directly translates to skill acquired for use in the more difficult zones.
rn we have our virtue that can essentially be seen as our player power slider. it's the thing that scales our hp, damage, armors, pact power and all. so you can essetially jsut tie all scaling to that. going in multiplayer with people lower elvel than you? alright, let's keep your reqs and unlocks, but reajust your stats as if you had the same levels as your team. going back around the starting area to jsut have a change of scenery while you grind? alright, enemies around will get a level that match something fitting of your total virtue. there is other possibilities, but that's one way to do it
they do be useful for that, but i feel like having a "sparring partner" in the nightfold or something liek that would be a better replacement to avoid loosing some zones to time
I donât need a sparring dummy though, parrying in itself is not difficult even against high level enemies once you get used to it. What i practice is parrying attacks coming from multiple directions consecutively i.e not getting hit in a fight. To add to your idea though maybe a âArenaâ structure of sorts where you can spawn in multiple specific enemies at the level desired.
Yeah. I'm surprised they removed attacking in the nightfold. Having a NPC or some sort of training area there seeme like it would be natrual.
like, me i'm looking at things with the fact we can't really undo our progression, and we can't jsut remake a character, so yeah, i would want to have as much of my game be and stay enjoyable instead of having "dead pockets" thateffectively, jsut waste hard drive space and processing power to be rendered.

But to topic of low level areas becoming useless the stronger we get well i like having an area i can farm for resources in auto pilot mode.

I think it boils down to how practiced it is, like itâs something i personally really want to get better at so i devoted a considerable amount of hours just practicing hence i find it easier.
Like it took me around 100hrs of practice to execute this.. and not yet consistently.
What we need is a way to practice that doesn't kill us.

As to what would prevent him from telling us things? Him feeling like we're not ready for certain bits if info. He's not actually kin. He's an adoptive grandfatherly figure who wanted to train us to be a proper combat envoy to fight the ode.

We don't know that future updates will be as quick to be out, though. It could just be that they got lucky with p15 and are running into fewer hitches/setbacks.

They mentioned the weapons remaining craftable being the "legendary, named" weapons. Probably like dukhalic and gathanon. But that would mean the "legendary" weapons would be left behind if they can't have tempers on them...

Well regardless if itâs faster or not, that doesnât matter, I just hope we get more consistent communication on DEs goals for reworks and new additions. Lots of the time it feels like most of the information we know about changes are vague, months old, or âfind out on your ownâ once it gets added. I think people would appreciate more information with things like workshop posts.

Of course theyâre going to do QoL updates and hotfixes, thatâs not being argued here. Iâm saying for us to give efficient feedback and provide us an insight on their goals, we need workshops posts. Especially with such a large system change like RNG loot changes, we are at the mercy of reading the tea leaves of what Steve said during the stream and envoy hour about potentially dismantling items. I understand theyâre still trying to figure out exactly what they want to do, and thatâs fine. But it would be better for us to at least understand whatâs coming and provide better feedback.
DE does have some issue communicating, but at the same time, i can understand them being a bit cold, as, well, they don't really have the best memories of their community understanding well and reacting normally. Like, you need to remember that a non marginal amount of people in WF's community genuinly thing the devs nerfs around what is liked because they completly misunderstood the "we look at popularity to see what might need soome ajusting" explaination they gave when nerfing the catchmoon in 2019, because the FIFTY PERCENT playrate across the board caught their attention

but yeah, i feel like a didicated video for the dropped weapon sytem would be necessary, to clarify and most importantly, to be refered to for any clarification, rather than some time code on a stream
I think the main problems stem from off hand comments, or even talking about systems months or a year in advance of them coming too. Like for example we saw the combats arts manual rework last Tennocon, and weâve yet to see anything on it. And weâve already moved onto a completely different system to rework. And then, a foundational system like mantling/climbing was last seen 8 months ago. I feel like implementing climbing is something they should definitely add soon or otherwise theyâll need to redo a lot of stuff in order to account for climbing.

and likely "better" stats and/or unique tempers to compensate for the fact they are fixed. like, why would you bother making a crafted weapon if a dropped one will j sut be better?
well, i put that on Steve being very passionate and talking more than he should.
I remember Steve showing off the wolf mount back in 12/2024, and I get the reasoning for them not wanting to add it yet because of needing a quest, and worries about the island size being trivialized. But instead of adding a mount quest first we got fast travel which does trivialize the island size even more than a mount could ever do. Obviously adding fast travel is a lot faster/easier to do than a quest but yeah.

so I need to snipe legendary ones with the specific tempers I want

max amount of em is 8 and there are 9 diff tempers
till 15 drops its just for maces you get from killing specific mace using enemies

Enemy levels atleast increase now with party size, and earlier P releases made it that there's more enemies based on party size. So it's going to right direction. You can balance it for 4, but enemies cannot remain as if you were solo.
If both enemy amount and level amp with each player now, I suppose it could be possible. Definitely plays way differently tho.
At that point you do not treat each enemy as an individual but the whole crowd as just something to throw damage at.
I get that 3 was ideal size for this type of game, but coming from Warframe, huge chunk of us have 4 player squads coming into this game đ

They need to do a bunch of work there yeah, but I imagine balance passes to be later on.
Stuff that provides a multi needs to not stack with any other multi.
Fellust should not compound with runes or stuff like Bestone.
They should both add to base.
And that's just at the very least.

Ye enemy balancing isn't only problem. We're kinda at the midway when it comes to pact and our weapon balancing with all the changes to Virtues and how everything works. So it will come down the line.
No point to tweak enemies too much until players themselves have been set to the point DE wants them to be at.

what you are describing is what warframe does, and it get's away with it by heaving mechanics based bosses and by being a third person shooter

Again, we can theorize all we want about this, and it's fun, but the thing is there isn't any game like this that manages to do this correctly.
The ones that get the closest are third person shooters, it's easier for them.
the way it's worked in every game I've played is that the enemies get a little buff to avoid them dying so fast that it's boring and other than that they're completely unchanged
balancing content separately for each player count is not a good use of dev time
just add like 20% HP for each additional player and call it a day

they added some secondary effects like life steal or more parry window and stuff. but they then removed that and replaced it with adding more virtue attunment which doesn't make any sense, and now we got tempers on the weapon that would have basically done the same thing as the joineries from before
Joineries used to each type give the weapon new different bonuses. those bonuses are now attached to the levels of the weapon. so right now you have different joinery types that can be aplied to the same weapon and all do the same thing, just scale a virtue
Basically reverting a second loadout would revert to the first loadout's distribution

I don't mind the attunement additions, that's kinda fun, but rn it's a bit of a weird one cause different weapons really need the different either thrice or twice refinements based on attunement cap and how you want them done, I think it would be cool to also have those extra additions of bonuses like life steal etc
