I personally like the leveling grind I haven't reforged my favorite weapons yet
it gives me reason to play
Well, reforging no longer resets level so...
maybe a stretch but have you tried this
Since hotfix 5
im still in second year of college man
got finals going on
hopefully the canvas hack didn't effect you too much.
not even the same country
good.
whole other continent
good good.
yea education here is abysmal at best
especially the rate at which people here with degrees getting into the positions they were specializing in.
I honestly feel bad.
My bachelor's of arts makes all the other tradesmen I work around very jealous /joke
gl with the ai art fanatics.
They're only a challenge to me philosophically. My majors were theater and English
Typically acting specially is a Bachelor's of Fine Arts but my theater program was generalist -- you didn't major in acting, even if you focused on that, and the credits required included things like tech, design, directing... You graduated knowing how the industry worked from every angle, even if only at a basic level
oh no...

It's the wakeup animation from ending Cogah, or from one or two fable-related things (I think during Waste Bear it happens)
ah, I may have forgotten
time to run waste bear again!
and I haven't done a single cogah yet
first cogah, then wastebear.
(dont think you can do fables under the effects of cogah)
how do I know which weapon I have already mastered?
super useless fact: if all the air in the world was replaced with nitrogen then we wouldn't need casings to keep lightbulbs from instantly burning out.
ending of shewolf fable
we also would all be dead

yoo anyone have a friend code?
indeed.
i wish lmao
100% of people that breathe oxygen end up dying. Coincidence?
Im new so... whats the deal with the game? When will it be available to everyone? Im trying to play
It's available now to founders
You can also get keys from watching DE's soulframe streams or from someone with friend codes giving you one
not sure what the drop rates are for the stream keys, I haven't gotten one yet
How do I get access to Soulframe?
Sign up: Soulframe.com and be invited via the Wednesday giveaway (2k codes every week)
Purchase a Founder's Pack, which will give you spare codes for your friends.
Watch a dev stream or Envoy Hour via Twitch
On occasion, Envoys will share codes in the channels here, but we ask that you do not beg.
You can also check social media, Reddit, or streamers who may run giveaways.
Attention: Selling/buying of codes is a violation of Soulframe's Terms of Service. Do not engage with third-party trades.

the battle for who gets to be the Johnathan “Soulf” Soulframeson
yo whats the best way to get moranite
fighting the sun, crypt. or you can buy it with kith standing
sun??
sun 🙂
oh crypt is the best?
hello
i mean it's not guaranteed
with kith standing you just have to work for it
(I know some of you are afraid of work, just gotta deal with it)
It spwans in every type of gold dungeon chest i thought you meant it was more common in crypt
Crypt has at minimum 2 openable sarcophagi that can drop moranite, sapheline, or quartz, and up to like 4 of whatever it chooses to drop, as well as being sweepable in like 30 seconds, making it the general best rare resource farm when you have the keys to open it.
Other than that, redeeming it from Kith if you feel like running votives for standing or have a stock of the redemption items to sell.
Which you will inevitably collect.
idk, i just open all the chests, never had problems with moranite
you need keys for the crypt tho, and if you ahve someone needing moranite, they likely also don't have much keys
what's the kith rate? 4 per 5k?
Crazy deduction
5k is 3 t3 votives, in 3 t3 votives you'd have like 15 chests to open
that's like 6 moranite minimum, can be more than 10
I have everything in the game im just fresh out of moranite somehow and have like 50+ keys I didnt know the best way to farm ir
i didn't know either
but how did you run out of moranite while you presumably started playing at a time that would let you stockpile keys?
Ok so I took a break quite soon after p9 dropped, I had like 100 moranite from gath farming in p8 via glades tales, I have no idea how I have 53 keys but I have obtained that many since playing again from p12 till now
Glad to see this bug hasn't been fixed yet 😂
Is circade supposed to automatically give pendant after defeat in front of a mural? Got the mural dialog but not the pendant expected
He should
have you kille dhim in front of a different one?
I have over 700 crypt keys. For several preludes they just got vomited at you.
they wanted us to test them
memerod when?
This was my first crypt run. Haven’t tried in front of other walls yet. Just blue.
You're supposed to get 1 of 3 pendants, collecting them all over several runs, wearing each and fighting the Circade in the plains once each, collecting 3 fragments, and then crafting those into the Triune talisman which is pretty much BiS.
If that is what you are referring to.
It is. Except I didn’t get the 1/3 I expected when killing him next to the blue mural. Nothing in inventory I can see for it. Maybe just need to come back and try again.
It should just be handed to you as something you can equip in your talisman slot.
If you killed him close enough that it started the little cutscene thingy with the lore dump.
That’s my understanding. Weird.
Ah. It only showed up in inventory after finishing. 🤔
Pre-alpha shenanigans, perhaps, I wouldn't even begin to know.
Interesting I assume they only drop from the votives now?
That I have no clue, I know their spawns were cranked way down in some way but have also heard some state that they can still drop from heavy enemies.
So idk if their drop source changed or if their drop chance was just vastly lowered.
Well Ive got enough for now I just need to finish the long mr grind
they should make a mom rod, for naughty envoy
Nah, it's Mom who sends the Nimrod. Mamada 😛
oh yeah thats true
do you have an xp method? spending time to get the swamp tile set compared to just running around doing world trees is about all i got. also you have to use the weapon you want to level up. so you cant just farm high level enemies cuz you have to actually kill them unless you want to get them low than tap em with the low level weapon
I use the glades arena method you can either use a 3rd party tool or figure out how to read the log yourself. https://discord.com/channels/998758139405029478/1493747403424141402
glades arena is the fastest ive found there might be some niche method someone has found thats faster but i wouldnt know it
if i find the glades endless tile can i invite people while in the dungeon to help others out
against the rules to ask for codes here, there are a lot of ways to get codes pinned here
<@&1154466146741932193>
Damn every channel…
Please don't beg. See the pinned channel message.
I can't believe they named themselves after their age wtf
Every channel? Classy.
probably a bot to get keys
possible
or just someone very dumb

yeah! and like, it's not as if you can't get a code from someone else here! just be friendly and talk around and someone may jsut help you out
but don'T start by begging, come on!
just like in warframe, everyone loves being generous but absolutely hates when someone starts begging, me too
jsut be friendly and hyped and you get codes
if i get someone who is super hyped by the suns being sapphic, i'll throw a code no issue
bruh i joined a stack for the stag arena and the game lagged out

hey all. dumb question. After you adda a joinery to lv 30 weap, does it reset to zero?
or did it reset because I switched to diff weap?
Not anymore! This was removed recently
The level of Weapon A should not have reset by switching to Weapon B
oh, mine still reset though? 🙁
Hmm that's weird, this is the patchnotes from the removal of level resets from joineries
What weapon is it? Did it literally go from rank 30 to rank 0 after you used a joinery on it? Have you relogged to see if it was just a temporary/visual bug?
yeah that's weird
after I had to do the update, I switched weap and wanted to switch back, I noticed the staff went to zero
update was about a couple weeks ago
Well the change was 11 days ago so
Did you use your joinery before the 29th April patchnote I just showed? #envoy-gathering message
I believe so...sorry, it's been a while since seeing the discord
No prob! Yes it seems you used a joinery back when they reset weapon ranks, so it's normal that your staff reset to rank 0
that won't happen anymore in the future (unless DE reimplement the resets when they update joineries again)
Also inspired to do a drip check

Oh no...I'm almost out of arcs @_@
My friends joke that I take all of my characters and dip them in a vat of Gamer Juice. I have a pretty fixed personal aesthetic.
If a game gives me the ability to make it black and also red, it's going to be black and also red
Give you three guesses what all my stuff in Warframe looks like lmao
you know who else is black and red?
i know someone who said that before the great purge of [Redacted]. haven't heard from them since
My vibe tends to shift around sometimes cus I do weird stuff that not all games let me do.
In both MH Wilds and Nioh 3 I made my character a mime named Giggles.
Giggles was already taken here, much to my displeasure.
yall ever noticed these sun and cross motifs on the mendicant enemies?
Especially since I checked who had it and they vanished years ago.
But alas, that how it be sometimes.
Yeah it's really cool you can see hints of who they once were. I just want to learn more about their past! What actually was the Fonnish Charge? What were the Mendicant King and his army all about? etc...
That mask is so lovely ❤️
dont think the march was against the cassids or ode
It was neither, both of those were different time periods.
That much is confirmed at least.
yeah, the Charge was a some time between those two
Apparently the whole army died 'before drawing their swords' so I'm curious about THAT bit
Long-range bombardment of some sort I'm guessing, though it's still unprofessional to not have weapons drawn by the time you enter a battlefield, so they were nevertheless late on that.
You have weapons drawn before you even line up, you don't wait until you engage.
also, where did they die exactly?
the King led em southwards, but that like half of midrath
damn, the story has so much...
X is Fort Curlail, where king was before the charge
Most common guess is Castle Kearnhold.
Given that's the only big target in that direction.
makes me think of the Ode and Kearnhold
why were they trying to seige it and blow open the gates when they have air surperiority and could just land directly on top of the castle?
Approaching from the air in a large target against mages?
Asking to be shot out of the air. Soldiers are cheaper than airships.
And the Ode seem like they'd be into that kind of calculus.
i mean i have an idea of what went down.
considering the port town in the area at the time the charge may have taken place
Great point especially as they do use that air superiority in this piece of concept art from long ago
idk, only mage i've really seen is the Wazzard
also the midrathians kinda seemed against witches
those sarcophagus-looking things descending from the sky are such a horrifying concept for midrathian peasants, I love it
idk, why didn't they just do a bombing run by dropping Thunderstones from Collecters?
most midrath had for ranged combat was mainly bows and arrows. you're blessed to get anything else.
We'll probably get more of an idea when these upcoming Dendrit Mages/outfits (second and fifth here) get added
it would made sense to seige it from the ground if u *didn't *want to blast the castle into rubble tho, so idk.
bows n arrows against magick metal flying machines that can shoot lightning
bit unfair innit TwT
i mean it's an alien race from space
it's a one sided unfair match no matter how you put it
I do still really like SF's pure fantasy vibes.
Hilarious that DE's sci-fi game has no aliens, but the fantasy game does.
[Message Redacted]
That's DE for ya 😛
honestly the Ode have been kind of... unsportsmanlike in this whole conquering business
tbf people irl are like that as well.
but that's a WAY different topic and rabbit hole
this guy's fit basically screams Oro fanboy
but yea those with "superior" power and abilities are bound to downplay anything that is "beneath them".
doesn't matter what species they belong to either.
I'm still impressed that the Ode made a gunflail and thought to even add a trigger safety to it lmao.
Can't wait till we get that beautiful creation added.
kinda wonder why the Ode are conquering alca
since soulfram's based on Princess Mononoke, i kinda expected them to be moreso an antagonistic force than just straight up villains
Well, I think the implication was that they didn't get to the battlefield. Like, the whole army died either very suddenly in an extremely effective ambush, or something like disease or attrition got to them.
idek tbh. maybe alca is just "in the route" to a bigger target for all we know.
rather concerning to think about, but that can wait for later
If we don't assume the Ode's interest is purely material, it's possible it's ideological. They may be on crusade to put the universe "in proper order" as it were.
Man that's such a good point I love how Mononoke frames the whole ironworks people and the lepers and everything, gave them a very human side
Idk if we have confirmation about what it is or isn't based on for sure, but the Ode thus far are just expansionists and Alca has resources and a people who can't effectively resist them.
That's reason enough for them to stop by and start harvesting.
Have to fuel an empire somehow.
It is confirmed to be based on inspired by Princess Mononoke alongside many other things
im kinda getting tonfa/ spearguin vibes
how would u even hold it tho? TwT
There's text about how Ode religion/culture orbits around the idea that all things are bound to a given natural order -- their natural order, of course. Alca is a chaotic, messy backwater that they are 'helpfully' trying to 'civilize,' so to speak, by bringing the whole biosphere into "order"
I mean, both hands on the left side when swinging, reach a hand to grasp the... bump? Where the trigger is when firing.
So it's kind of like a derpy musket hold?
But you pull the trigger with the forward hand.
ngl sometimes I think that there's a island / land where the inhabitants are immune to the spellsong's effects and just hear it as really crappy music played on loop 24 / 7 lol.
Yeah, it's just a long gun hold, where one hand is like halfway down, but you're pulling the trigger with the forward hand instead of the back hand like normal.
Like how they shoot the funny staff blasters on star trek.
i mean gun staffs are a thing if you think about it.
they're called muskets.
That's why I compared it to a derpy musket grip first lol.
It's just the forward hand would be way farther down the barrel than normal.
And also be the hand you pull the trigger with.
Is this armour I can get in game?
(reiterating my demand to grant us muzzleloaders as long as Deora is tall)
It's upcoming content for a future update
Well, it looks very semilar to the Wazzard Robes, but you can't get that exact outfit 🙂
How the heck ya gonna reach that muzzle lmao.
Sparrow can help.
I'm gonna get it as soon as it's out. I've been waiting for a good mage set.
maybe use their big legs for a height advantage.
idk.
In the meantime, have you farmed this bad boy
🇴 🅾️ 🇳 ™
As a 14th C recreationist I am very jealous of Wazzard's Giant Bycocket
mine.
does pulling the chains with handlebars in rovgot ruins do anything special or nah
the ones hanging from the ceiling
It lifts either a cage, a chest or a bell.. If it's a chest you can break it for some loot. Otherwise it does nothing
it is random yes
I kinda some nuice vibe when the Torment Stag was shown off all that time ago, when Deora says "The Ode put fire in every hearth."
I kinda thought that, ok, the ode did invade alca and brainwash it's people, but also gave then a higher quality of life cuz of the Ode advanced tech
got 1 fragment from each part of it :V
But nuh TwT
That's a great example, yeah it felt convincing but I guess in reality it's more just her spellsung view of things
higher quality of life, being made to breathe out of an oxygen mask because the new overlords said "hey, we don't want to wear our ode space helmets on ur planet... Sooo likkkkee, deforestation, K thx"
I think it's Orlick who has a line somewhere about how the spellsung think that they're all, and have always been, serfs working Ode'n lands. I imagine there's an element of induced 'grateful servitude' in them.
Which is kinda a shame, cuz i could really see it be a part of the player envoys story.
They were a Midrathian kidnapped and conditioned by the ode, and then returned back to midrath
I would be really cool to see their two conflicting natures bounce off of each other something
Think of like the winter solder and how he was brainwashed and rejoined cap
Well, that was waaaay before ichor or the organ was introduced TwT
Basically when Soulframe was first announced
Ichor was a big part for like, long time. The descrip has been in the game for like, over 2 years
I can't speak for December 2023, but I can for March 2024
Along with other elements and ETC.
Yeah
I only thought of that when de showed off the torment stag quest itself at tennocon
@pearl beacon whatca think?
I wouldn't start suggesting the main enemy be at all not evil, given the direction that could take.
The whole 'dog' interaction is at it is because people complained about an animal being an enemy.
When it could've easily been explained as an invasive, rabid attack beast native to the Ode's homeworld.
Nah, furred creature was enough to set people off, now we're never gonna have new beast enemies, cutting down variety.
If the enemy becomes such that we can sympathize with them?
I don't see that going well.
Man, invasive species enemy in my nature preserving game would've been so cool...
The Ode are an invasive species 😂
Now we just get bugs, cus everyone knows bugs are naturally evil and nobody cares about killing them.
Cus ofc, mammals good, bugs bad and evil.
Very Disney view of things.
We need some cute bugs to save from the Ode
Nice, big, fuzzy spoders ❤️
And more animals in general (I am pushing the wildcat agenda)
I do agree spiders are very cute
hey, sorry to interrupt. is there early access to the game?
The preludes have been going on for over a year now yes. Over 2 now I think?
Yes, but they're invitation only. You can get a key by watching the Streams the devs do, the next one is tomorrow (12th of May)
2 years and uhhh.. almost 6 months
Or by making an account and just waitingg for the wednesday raffle.
go frick yourself@ripe grotto
But the next stream would be the quickest way yes.
you just HAD to send that gif
but.... is frend
Yeees, cause it's so cute! ❤️
Very friendly friend.
if not friend why friend shaped?
ye blocked you now
gotcha thanks
Precisely.
I mean some pollinators to save would be cool, bees, wasps etc would be nice.
Damn, overreaction XD
maybe a lil
I think this is fire writing king, I wish to see that kind of internal conflict for the player envoy
Some people are weird.
some people are ignorant
ignorant... how?
His lil arms goin 🥹
I have crippling thalassophobia and will punch someone before letting them drag me into water. I still won't be weird about someone sending an untargeted shark image in chat, despite not liking them myself at all.
it's a public discord server,
gifs are allowed,
can't exactly be asking every single person if they might have a phobia of something before sending something...
thats why i generally dont send upclose pictures of known phobias, because im not ignorant and respect others
Yeah I mean I have a dog phobia and prefer not to see gifs of them, but I'm not going to call people ignorant for sending dog pics.
It's not like anyone even said they didn't like spiders before it was sent, it was just part of the conversation.
there's even spiders ingame
they dont look like spiders at all tho so its fine for me, theyre like wood
I mean, they could have asked or said something and I could have removed the gif. But they chose violence from the start :/
Ok have that reaction when someone sends a gif of a dog, or a horse or idk any other common phobia
i.... can't say i've ever heard of dog or horse related phobias
yea no
They're very common phobias as well
I have, being afraid of dogs is not uncommon and can be very severe.
Cynophobia, fear of dogs.
having a general disgust and fear for the looks of a dog or horse is def NOT a common phobia
I've seen it in person before.
im afraid of dogs, not their looks, but them
That's a you thing, your own phobia is not above or more important than everyone else's.
And a fear of dogs is not an uncommon phobia.
i never said that?
i said its not common, please read and stop putting words in my mouth
Being afraid of spiders is not common then.
aight.... how about? this cool new upcoming game? called Soulframe?
Sounds like a poor copy of Warframe, trying to ride their coattails of success 🤔
Lmao.
crazy sentence
I did originally think Soulframe was a placeholder name tbh.
But they seem to have stuck with it.
pretty sure DE did too
Honestly I understand it, I mean Fromsoft did the same between dark souls and demon souls
Nothing more permanent than a temporary solution, right?
it also works with how the game is 👀
If you've got a popular product, makes sense to "advertise" your other product by naming it similarly.
Yea, they leaned into the whole Soulframe thing. Often refering to our Bodies as Frames
Like in the Ode Tempest Description
I feel like Soulframe is pointed at a different crowd tho.
So general advertisement, sure, 'these are the people who made WF and it is very successful'.
just wait for the excalibur pact
But for an actual playerbase, I think it'll draw in generally different people.
That's true, even though the games are both "grindy games you can join your friends in"
john warframe in soulframe
That is the goal. That it should be its own thing, not just Fantasy Warframe 🙂
I despite how WF plays nowadays and dropped out of it a while ago.
Yeah
Soulframe has been incredibly enjoyable.
I find that most of my friends who enjoy warframe tend to also enjoy soulframe, and my friends that don't like warframe also tend to not like soulframe that much.
Warframe plays kinda like an endgame ARPG at this point... Abilities that clear entire rooms and drown out your screen in numbers
But the games are very different feel.
I played it when it felt like a tactical shooter, now it's just 3D Diablo.
The 'game' is entirely crunched into the build process, and then 'gameplay' is just payoff.
Where you watch all the funny dots vanish on the minimap rooms over.
I only still play warframe out of stockholm syndrome
Soulframe feels like everything warframe could've been if it had kept its 2013 vision, not fallen into the powercreep trap, etc etc - it's amazing having a DE game again where combat feels intentional, where you get to look at your enemies and think about what they're doing, etc
I like warframe because I can look at a wiki, it tells me go there to get x thing, and then I spend a few hours mindlessly grinding. Soulframe has that in common at least, which I do really enjoy.
But the vibes are so different, fantasy vs sci-fi and a more nature-close feel makes it really in my field for genre.
This precisely. I've had moments in WF where I did something, finished it, then did it again cus I legit forgot I just did it. It was getting so repetitive that I could turn my brain off and autopilot through something fast enough that it didn't even cling to my short term memory, so I'd have moments after doing something where I'd have to spent effort on remembering what I just did and had to do next.
When that started happening, I started falling off, cus it just wasn't holding my attention enough to be fun.
i like both
warframe is a really fun power fantasy/WMD simulator especially since it feels like you had to build that power
soulframe, though I haven't tried it yet since I haven't gotten a key, I imagine will be fun for the opposite reason
Yea, I also do really enjoy the mindless grinding. Also really enjoy the slower world, not just teleporting around willy-nilly, but actually needing to run around.
That's one of the things I really dislike about Warframe, how we just stand on our lander and load into missions, there's no gameplay inbetween activities. Soulframe has a great potential for that with random events and stuff like that.
Yeah that's really cool!
Both will shape up to be vastly different games, and Soulframe is much more my style. They've firmly stated that they're purposefully designing Soulframe to be nothing like what Warframe eventually became, and I hope they stick to that.
I just feel like having places I have to go to frequently really takes away from the soulframe experience. Grinding weapons should send you around the place, like Duelo quest, not just killing a boss every 30 mins hoping for the drop to happen.
Keep stuff challenging, make you think, actually hold attention.
I don't want to be allowed to autopilot.
omg @ripe grotto I've just noticed your name lmao YES I want a little genius shoulder accessory so bad
Really looking forward to seeing their changes with loot, as they plan to make a lot more loot drop randomly from enemies. Personally really like the idea of just running around grinding enemy camps in hopes of a specific fragment, instead of having to run the same boss or event over and over... Which will be fine for some later and rare fragments.. But I really like that grinding is just a massive part of the game 😄 Especially because, despite of its fairly simple combat, it just feels so good running around killing stuff mindlessly 😄
when we do combat rolls his little head will have to duck pretty fast...
I think that sounds better. I like clearing the camps and collecting their motes.
It could work as a Pact.. So the Shoulder Baby appears when we use Spectral Sight 😛
Pretty sure the shoulder baby, per lore, is an Orlick only thing.
Lest we delve into similar shenanigans.
And so I speak the curs-ed spyderlect...
Yea, it is. But that's why it could work as a pact... As we don't have our own actual shoulder baby, but channel Little Genius.. Like we can Channel Bromius, Garren Rood and Orengall... Not quite sure how pacts work, but maybe it could be a possibility when it gets fleshed out in the future how they actually work 😄
Pacts work as literal pacts made with powerful entities. The envoy's fey heritage allows them to make a pact and borrow the powers of that entity, so we'd need to make a pact directly with Orlick, and I don't think he's a powerful enough being for that to do anything.
Well the Tempest Ode seems to be just purely technological 😛
Don't think we have enough information about what Pacts actually are
Though Ode Tempest is the one exception, being a pact seemingly desined around Ode tech.
Yeah that, but I give than an excuse.
It at least has a reason to be different given that it's just ripped from the Ode.
Ode pacts are more tech stuff yeah
One of those 'something so close that the difference is meaningless'.
May not be a pact by some fey lore definition but does enough of the same thing for people to not care about the practical.
But I could see our Ancestors also giving pacts down the road... Steelsinger Pact, Vermin Pact, Pensive Pact 😄
Cameo gave us a pact
They were also some major pirate captain who was good enough to survive two failures despite the punishments for each having a very real possibility of killing her, then coming back and winning.
They were much more traditionally 'strong' than a blacksmith, a potion-maker, and a scribe.
Verminia is a Witch, not just a potion maker
"we saw you from the other side of the bar and we really dig your vibe"
Also, don't underestimate the power of a Scribe... Poor Deckard Cain 🙁
Yes, but her skills appear to largely lie in the esoteric rather than the combative.
We're borrowing power when we use a pact.
A pact doesn't have to be purely combative.. Orlick could give a nice supportive/healer pact
And that reaches into the subjective. I just speak on the trend that exists right now.
Pacts seem to need to be made with particularly powerful entities.
Also, this is your personal speculation, as we simply don't have enough ingame information to back that up. We know basically nothing about the pacts 😛
That and when you hear 'pact', especially in anything that involves the fey, that trend holds.
Pacts are made with things that are bigger than yourself for power.
Except when they don't... Ode Tempest.
And comparing an Odenbeast, basically a natur demi-god in power, to a very persistent pirate, seems odd too xD
That and Ode tech is also sorcerous in nature, voltaics do draw power from magic.
The stars specifically. So it is still effectively a connection to something greater than yourself.
Much like Mora's Hand.
I've absorbed enough Fate shenanigans by cultural osmosis to just chalk it up to the 'legend' meaning something.
And it may be more of a case of meeting a certain threshold.
That and we threw down with a berserk Bromius and still won, he ain't all powerful by any means, certainly below what first comes to mind when you hear 'demi-god'.
More just a particularly buff spirit really.
Is the infinite room in glades still the best way to XP farm?
If you can get one to spawn, yes.
But their spawn rate seems to be pretty low right now, from reports.
Also it's not infinite anymore but is way more time-effective now.
i noticed im not being able to spawn one after many tries today
Like, 0 to 22 on two weapons in a few minutes.
Demi-god just means it's partly divine. Doesn't necessarily mean that its in any way powerful. But probably more powerful than your Average Bear, which a normal human wouldn't take on either 😄
Also, like I mentioned earlier. Noone said their pact had to be specialized in Combat. For Bromius it's his Strength, for Orengall it's her Cunning.. Nothing to say we couldn't get a pact that utilizes Orlicks vast Wisdom
from what i gathered pacts are more akin to warlock pacts like in DnD, you can make a pact with any particularly strong spirit and use their power for your own
The Omen Beasts probably are demigods or powerful nature spirits of a kind. Not combat powerful ones, but ones whose power is related to their title.
Again only problem with that theory: Tempest Ode. Which is technological and made by the Ode, not a pact with a strong spirit or crature.
Ode Tempest is actually an interesting case: it's harnessing the Envoy's Fey blood and using it to fuel the tech.
Ode is more akin to the deities as in it is a force of nature, and is being used as an infinite power source
Implying the reason the Envoy can make pacts is because their Fey blood provides a power source for the pact to gain power from
It's a single exception to a current trend, and Ode tech is, again, powered by magic. The envoy also used to be a tempest, so it's a bit of a reclamation.
which lets be honest: if our society found a lightning deity that could charge our phones just by praying to it...
If anything, Duelo is a fascinating case, because it seems to be that it is a pact of ritual
You are binding yourself by the laws of Duelo for powrr
Mora's Hand, the Omen Beasts, and the Fey Pacts all relate to a specific person.
Duelo seems to draw their power from the nature of honor, to honor the duelo is to honor rules of nature
But Duelo isn't named for a person
It's not Carmo, it's Duelo
The rituals and traditions are the pact, it seems.
Well, Mora's Hand is power drawn from Mora, the god and the sun, it's just also passed down from person to person.
Being an Envoy is too complicated... Rejoining the Ode... All hail Lord Ballas Synod!
Duelo is "if a pinky promise gave you powers"
i get were gonna get some pretty conceptual pacts in the future
More like a Curse... Really hoping that the Ghost Crew she talked about will be our Crew when we get our Sailjack 😄
I just interpreted it as a connection to both the legendary maestra and the crew that haunts them or something, it could still be argued to be individual-leaning.
Unless it's been stated otherwise ofc.
Perhaps, but kinda going by the naming here.
Ode Tempest is a role. A tool given to your rank to harness your abilities unnaturally.
Duelo is a tradition, a ritual
Mora's Hand is a role in service to a being: Mora
True, every other pact is named after a role or individual, even Mora's Hand kind of.
And the others are all named for their originator directly
the ode themselves need special gear to even harness ode tempest, its not a natural thing from them
None of the Ode seem to use it
Well Ode Tempest is a role, what they're 'harvesting' is voltaics.
To varying degrees of power and complexity.
It seems like it's a weapon made for Spellsung Envoys
The pact specifically that is
Does he use the Pact though?
Woop woop!
The nimrod harnesss the power by being trapped in a special gear
Doesn't seem to be wearing it
He doesn't, but my point was that 'Ode Tempest' is just a rank.
Ofc they're gonna leverage spellsung envoys if they have them tho.
if you see his armor it seems like a giant faraday cage
And they probabbly all got shoved into a 'special forces' rank.
thats how he can channel lightning
Which Tempest is probably their equivalent of.
It seems like Tempest might be a legion of those with unusual powers the Ode find useful. The pact itself is the way they harnessed the power of Envoys, both us...and Bayor.
Bayor is sus AF
the closest we get to ode using pacts is the corruption
which seems like an afterthought of the terraforming more than anything
We've yet to see anyone not en Envoy use a pact tbh. Arguably Carmo maybe?
But it's unclear if she was one or not
It seems they require an Envoy, hence perhaps them needing a power source if Fey Blood to become active.
in hindsight it seems like the ode made a very stupid decision when they let the envoy go
if they had someone that could harness the fey blood for their own plans
I don't think they let us go, I think they executed us and it ... didn't stick
Ah, you mean it more generally, sorry
even if that is the case it was still a very dumb decision, they could have turned us into a giant fey power battery
Feels more like the Envoy broke free and was presumed dead from the punishment maybe?
Yeah, we're probably not the only envoy they had, just a random one they kidnapped like the rest and then raised as a soldier.
i think that will be the case in the finished story
So when we broke out, we got yeeted and then dismissed as dead.
They seem to have better power sources for their weapons generally. We're like a car battery they have the equivalent of nuclear plants.
Cus we kind of were. We went splat and then got revived by a spirit moose.
We know they had at least one other
But it's unclear how many Envoys exist in Alca at the current time
Doyen is presumed dead
I'm still suspicious of Bayor. Paragon's description paints Bayor as very, VERY old, given that Alora was still around to sing it into existence, given that he is its first user, and the fey left like, 1,000 years ago? Perhaps a few decades less?
Its the "one tenno VS many tenno" theory again from WF
Carmo, if she was one, slightly less so but not really in any way the Ode could use.
Except it seems like Alora might have stayed
If Bayor is that old, he's probably a pretty strong dude, which raises the possibility of him joining the Ode willingly.
Voluntarily or not. The Felling was a rift between her and the other Fey
Is the envoy the "Chosen one" or there are many like them that can be active participants in the world?
Her and the other fey or her and the envoys? I forget the exact history.
We know she's been gone from Midrath, but that might just be her being captured.
I thought the fey in general kind of peaced out.
Was the felling a different event than Alora being betrayed then?
Or perhaps was imprisoned here.
Cus Alora left after being betrayed by the first envoys.
They were specifically mournful about causing such.
Think they were the same? It's...not exactly clear. Tethren and the others were originally the names of the Fey after all
fey as a whole kinda gave up on the world from what i gathered from alcas children dialogue, the only ones still worshipping them are the sproutfolk
Tethren was the name of the envoy, iirc.
But now they seem to be the names of the Envoys?
The first who was granted that power.
I admit that I'd been under the impression that the Wylds were Fey from which Envoys descend
Poor Pothia got her name stolen by her patron XD
Nah, just the first of the envoys, granted powers by the fey.
Whom they then betrayed and then immensely regretted that decision.
her patrons were fey, that's what they do, steal names and make mushroom circles.
It's weird, because during the Fey battles with the Humans, it's said the Humans wielded Tehran magicks. Implying the Envoys were founded pre felling.
So were technically using the pact of the first person using the power of the fey
Yeah, learned from the Solist warriors, which I had thought were Fey
If the Felling was also when Alora was betrayed, then that makes sense, as the Felling wouldn't be their creation but their betrayal.
True.
So they'd have been made sometime before then.
That was just the big split between the fey and envoys/humans.
maybe they were the avatars of the fey they represented, like an aspect from league of legends if anyone here plays
Due to the latter's betrayal.
I can't wait to be furether down our omegaverse named game dev stage so that more clear lore comes out
So.perhaps that was their betrayal. Giving magick to the Humans.
I thought the whole idea was that the Wylds were Fey, our Fey ancestors, whom we had a sort of innate pact with, being their kin, ergo why they're our starter pacts. Perhaps this is pre-alpha murkiness at work.
deffo pre alpha stuff
But yeah, it's unclear when Alora left, if it was with the other Fey or during the Ode invasion.
That was the old explanation
Oh no she's been gone well before the Ode invaded.
Given that the original envoys have been long gone too.
And she was gone well before any of them died.
The Wylds were meant to be the first Envoys pacted to each of those Fey. But that since changed, around the time if Founders launched Pothia and the Wyld Envoys became Tethren, Oscelda, and Sirin
So by all means the first 3 pacts are akin to Mora or Mestra Carmo
Wait, where was this stated?
I mean, in the lore of their weapons I think it mentions Alora having left or them feeling guilty about it or something.
They betrayed Alora and Alora left.
They were still alive for some time after, obviously.
May be misremembering where I read that stuff.
Hm, it does sound like Oscelda wanted to meet Alora again.
But it's unclear if she left Midrath or simply went to ground.
I mean either way her presence is gone in effect whether she's outright gone or just in hiding, though I doubt she truly left Midrath given the Ode found her.
Or perhaps they just yoinked her from somewhere else.
They're probably crawling across a large portion of the planet, if not all of it.
The descriptions dont help with the ambiguity
"Carved from the femur of fthe Empress Alora"
Yeah, Alora made the weaponry of the first three envoys with pieces of herself.
...Honestly, we wonder. The cage we see her in during the cutscenes and trailers...it doesn't look Ode. And if it were, why does Synod seemingly not have her by now? That was a Wevetwood vision, meaning it's of the future, right?
Kinda lame that said weaponry is kind of meh lol.
So...did the Wylds imprison her maybe
Well, the wevetwood visions aren't exclusively future-sight. When we first got shown Bromius it seemed to be of the present, and it did cause a flashback into the past.
That's why she has no more influence. Imprisoned the Empress and perhaps exiled the other Fey under threat?
It just seems to cast your sight beyond space and time.
Not necessarily in one direction.
It's definitely an Ode'n cage, it's also situated in a Skytower
Maybe she was imprisoned by magick millenia ago and just now the ode found the place where she was contained and took her out of it
You can see those tooth-like floor protrusions over in the distance, which are the same you see in the Skytower both in Waste Bear + the Inquisitor intro
So yeah, either they found her caged and claimed her, or she was hiding
how would have them contained her if she wasnt before is beyond me
I doubt Oscelda wouldn't have just gone to see her if she was caged.
I think she just outright left, went into hiding or far away, was out of the picture.
Which is understandable after being backstabbed.
And then the Ode found her sometime much later, after their invasion.
which is More powerful: the god or the power used to contain a god?
I mean, the Ode are an advanced race of evil electric space wizards.
They too have magic, and with enough preparation and pawns, anything is possible.
Depends on if the god is contained or just chilling in a cage
they also are stated to use astral magic
Also: not all power is combat focused
Yeah, voltaics is fueled by the stars.
One of the most powerful beings in Greek mythology was stuck in a box
Because her power wasn't based on physical force or violence
If you're refering to Pandora's Box, that wasn't a singular creature, but an entire concept 😛
A personified concept.
alora could be interpreted as the concept of nature of alca
I can't help but wonder if Alora is just hanging out for funsies in her Ode'n prison. She may be less invested in our struggle than we might assume.
Alca is definitely above Alora herself.
she IS the "Empress" after all
Given that we have lore that Alca created humanity cus Alora was bored and asked.
She seems to like manipulating us at least.
So Alca does have its own will.
Depends which source. Original greek mythology just described it as all the evils and miseries of the world, like diease, sorrow, violence, greed.
we cant forget that theyre FEY
Unclear how much we can trust Alora in the end.
the "Kill kids for stealing food for shits and giggles" kind of fey
Tbf, the ones calling her empress are the sproutfolk.
Who were risen into sapience by her directly.
The version we are familiar with had those evils and miseries as vengeful spirits that personified each of those cruelties. And Hope was personified as well.
So that checks out from their perspective.
I really do think she's sort of true neutral in all this, just content to see how it plays out, knowing that whatever happens, it's all just change -- and there's nothing more natural than change.
Also the Founders gear
Unreliable narrator curse
Who were the first envoys granted power by her.
So you think Alora wasn't Empress of the Fey, perhaps
I just don't think she's the quintessential source of all nature.
But simply Empress of her own little faction?
But Alca isn't necessarily a Fey
Oh, likely not, no
fey and gods seem to be different concepts in the game
Empress likely means either of Midrath or of the Fey
The gods are...interesting. Because of the 3 Celestial gods, all of them are a font of raw magically attuned power
And it seems each of the other gods, demigods, and even Fey merely draw from their wells and shape the power.
the gods themselves never actually manifested in the game, we only see others using their power
like Mora
Except Algamne
She seems to be...seperate
Perhaps because she formed the contellations
Tbh it seems all magic thus far comes from sipping some kind of star juice. Mora and Saphene are both celestial bodies that can be argued to also be stars by definition. Iridis is a moon supposedly born from them, and moons reflect the light of their solar bodies, so he's by several vagueries an extension of them, and then Voltaics draws from the starry sky just generically.
So that definitely seems to be a theme right now, magic coming from the stars.
Interestingly, Algamne might be argued to be the source of the Ode power as well
Celestial body magic is a very cool way to create a magic system
Spinner of destinies and the skycloth
drawing a lot of comparison to old religions who worshipped planets and used the night sky to create myths
we also might see constelations used as pact powerss
Actually we have Mora's Hand sourced directly from Mora. I wonder if we'll eventually get pacts that are also just turbo Saphene or turbo Iridis-themed.
they have made the games night sky so full and beautiful, its easy to fit that into the powers
And possibly the pacts of the Demigods as well
A Paladine pact would be sick probably
Imagine one arcanic being a toggle that alters the other two arcanics! It'd essentially have four, and play into their theme of non-conformity (yes I am just copying equinox from warframe)
"We have the technology"
drip check give me feed back
I will say that this may just be a case of them being unique by happenstance rather than a grand theme. Fey are meant to be eldritch, unknown, fundamentally different. They don't necessarily conform to human binaries, but at the same time, that facet about them isn't inherently special enough to become a major theme of them.
especially the concept of equinox in this game where seasons, nature and the moon and sun are powers that be
Too much oven mitt
Much like Mora's powers don't have anything to do with them being feminine.
Paladine isn't a Fey
Oh yeah, well, demigod.
I'm not sure if this was meant to be in reply to my message or something else? This is about the demigod Paladine, who is neither son nor daughter to Iridis
Things above humanity and not necessarily constrained by their limits.
Paladine is unique in that
cant go wrong with the royalty purple paired with the robes
Yeah but none of Iridis' other children share that quality - both Oro and Verus are explicitly male
saw everyone else doing it, so i felt just wearing arbearer the whole time wasnt cool anymore
the real late game of any DE game.. fashion
Mora and Saphene also somehow had a child together, I just took it as them not being constrained by such things. When I saw that Paladine fell outside of the binary, I just went 'huh, that's pretty dang neat'. I never thought it was big enough to constitute an entire powerset though. I feel like that could cheapen such a thing just being natural to them.
The Paragon was sung into being by Alora right?
Yeh.
yes
And Bayor was the first to wield it?
...What's to say she didn't make it for him as his prisoner
True, that is not explicitly stated.
Bayor doesn't need to be centuries old
We do not know when she made it.
He could have been bribed to not bring in Alora
Since it seems we, the player, might have done so in the end.
WAIT
That, or Bayor could have been Alora's jailer or guardian
Bayor has a Greatsword.
Ballas has a Greatsword.
PARAgon
PARAcecis
🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔
Maybe we could have helped to imprison alora, and after we tried freeing her we were "executed" but we still have a connection to her
If true: stab stab stab stab STAB
and now were gathering power to raid the oden ship and free her
is there any other official mention of Baylor than the Paragon sword?
After some testing, I have discovered almost exactly how The Cogah Talismans work. They will give a small Damage/Stagger multiplier for each Agari killed, as per the description.
BUT! Upon reaching a 1.2x multiplier (~10 Agari) they will begin decreasing back to a 1x multiplier, providing no bonus.
We see him during The Shewolf Snared.
Yes.
Nice to know.
So baylor is either 1000 years old or 30 something
or the paragon is a very recent creation compared to the other weapons
the only viable way to "return" the paragon to bayor is by driving it through him.
no other option is allowed.
turns out, despite its size, the Paragon DOES have a sheath
Pretty sure that's what the engraving implies. I don't think The Paragon is Bayor's.
the engraving is a threat after all
so the first user was so pissed he used his relic weapon made by a demigod to write a death threat to his enemy
that is some next level hating
especially because the sword is meant to have our name when we replicate the blueprint to give to other players
so are WE the next sworn enemy for the players we give them to?
Maybe we'll get to add our own message?
i dont trust the community to have this power
That would be too dangerous and impossible to moderate. Usernames are bad enough
imagine the CHAOS
Probably a Dark Souls situation, like the trees, no?
"Thrust but Whole"
Do you think the character during the trip in The Waste Bear is us or Bayor?
With Synod and the seed.
i think it is
The community seems split. Several people have said that Wevetwood Sap only allows visions of the future, so it can't be Bayor giving Synod the Empress, as he already has her.
Personally, I think it is Bayor. But you never know.
We know the sap gives visions, I don't think it was ever explicitly stated of the future.
It also seems to mess with your head if you just take pure sap, in a way that is not necessarily 'visions' like what Verminia brewed.
So it may have actually just been a drug-induced flashback a la personal memory.
Bromius was inhaling sap and just going wonky, not becoming prophetic.
I don't think it's healthy to take it straight and when we inhaled a bunch it screwed with us.
How do I smite exactly? is it just Q + L-Click?
coolio ty thought i was dumb.
I’m actually thinking that Verminia did something to make it prophetic of the future whereas the non-treated (for lack of a better term) caused insanity hallucinations and fear—if you recall what the wazzard said to bromius, it made it sound like he was playing on bromius’s fears of not being good enough and being old and “our last season”.
So it could’ve been a vision of our own fears and the demands of synod whereas maybe Baylor succeeded in getting the empress.
Though a part of me is wondering if Baylor is a secret twin or brother or something to the Envoy, and if we elect to be the evil envoy, we choose their path.
could be the envoy
if it was bayor, would whoever's in armor sound like him?
Granfa when he was younger.
nuh bayor is way younger
also wonder how the other ode pact will work
people seem iffy on even the Tempest pact
It's probably going to be Wyld Ode Tempest.
hopes its a new ode pact tho TwT
Nah, there are three other concepts for new Ode pacts.
The only thing I wish the devs would do was to reset our items to the levels after they fix something. 🙁
What does the scaling icon change mean?
The Gold means it's at 5 (max)
So this Purity doesnt need the highest tier joinery to max out?
just checking but we smite enemies to slowly add to their knowledge in book, correct?
Correct
Yep.
Orengall and flyblades.
yep
Orengall + Flyblades is the Smite build 😄
Become a singularity of smites.
ez pz
Honestly Flyblade Orengall using Paragon sounds like a time.
havent played much for a bit im glad they got rid of orengalls claw
I just hope they revamp the first skill to mean something when mounts are introduced.
Cus right now its whole point to existing is mild utility.
it can 1 shot a lotta stuff but meh
yeah its not worth using for that
Hi
Orengall's 1 is several eh use cases rolled into one skill.
The biggest of which will become eclipsed by mounts.
I just hope they replace it with something more meaningful.
Bigger concern may be fixing it for multiplayer tho, lol.
They should change it to a transform instead of summon
Whether or not the player model is there is irrelevant to my point of it having questionable use.
They could change that and it'd still have the exact same problems.
Some of the classes lack senergies within itself, and are not well fleshed out, Orengal is one of them, they need to sit down and figure it out
BearBro too
garren rood pact is 🔥
But it is understandable, since the game is in it's infancy state
Best thing about that Pact is the Alternative Kick 😄
tbh, I love how you get antlers when you press 'Q' and when you kick someone, you actually headbut them like Garren does 😍
Yeees Real!
the smallest details are amazing 😭
I like most pacts but I do think my favorite goes to garren
Druid of da Rood
Antlers are by far the best soul mode effect
I wish they didn't gut Stampede though.
I don't know if it gets better on pure Grace but it does almost literally nothing even at 15 Grace.
Idk what they did to its base damage and scaling but it's awful.
It was good for like a prelude or two and then they ruined it again.
Yea, it's great for building stagger, but that's about it :/
Same with the Birds for Oscelda
Great for stagger, but that's about it
Yea, on anything that's basically level 15+ it's only 1 damage
But it can stagger anything in seconds
Does anyone have any Rank 0 Founders weapons?
Just need the Stagger values.
Precklies/Thistle/Gwylen/Wulder would also be appreciated.
I should have the teth sword still at 0 from a joinery, lemme check.
Yeah, nothing else though.
One is better than none. Thank you.
Lol.
Yeah I have a 33/15/15 split right now via the wyld teth prism.
With Mora's Beast you can break past 40.
But then my 15s would become 11s.
Yeah, 41/11/11.
For some reason Cenotaph, Dewelion, Espadarte, Marrow's Bane, Navalha, Gathannan, and Avex get 10 more Stagger than other weapons of the same class at rank 30.
Similar thing happens with the 1 star gear. Nettle, Precklies, Thistle, Gwylen, and Wulder only go to 100% attunement and (I think) all have 10 less Stagger than other weapons of the same class at rank 30.
But Clivers, Rivt-II, and Vasp-IV are also 1 star and don't do that.
I hate how enemies stumble around and fall back when you use Duelos flintlock
i know its accurate to someone pulling a gun to your face mid combat but that throws off the entire flow of the combat because you have to wait for them to get up to shoot properly
they fear awesomeness
if someone dodged my swing and pulled a glowing flintlock to my face id do the same but cmon
They do that with any arcanic I think, if close enough. Idk if the stagger force is the same across all arcanics.
But when that happens I just shoot them on the ground tbh, or shoot someone else.
cozy
you have a house or just visiting a town in midrath.
John Erstroot
thats in the swamp
birdies bog, I wonder if thats birdies house
oh yeah we do have a house at the start, i think but it just leads us to the nightfold
nighthold
hmm this isnt the best for directx 12 is it?
easy now white chocolate, don't hurt em
the hut at birdie's bog is part of one of the new special mini-quests you can start from a nearby world tree i'm pretty sure
I thought you might want to know The Erstroot is one of two weapons in the game that can reach 5.6 Spirit Pips.
I know of this yes
i would shake my head in disappointment if you didn't
The Erstroot keeps winning.
By the wise spirit of Iridis I would be a fool to say no to such a question
switched back to dx11 and the shadows are fine, dx12 the shadows are black 2.0 and you cant see shit
Hmm. Purity also gets 10 more Stagger from level bonuses than other Greatswords.
is anyone having issues when renaming loadouts?
when ever I press space it confirms instead of making a space between words
i think that's been reported a few times
you can work around it by copying the name you want and hitting control V though
i mean, from the clipboard
I hate it when my keyboard doesn't let me finish sometimes
Oooh yeah I could do that!
there we go
Got my friend the complete founder pack for her birthday via visa giftcard, feelin good
yippee
I just thought to ask... What Rune do you use on your Erstroot?
after the update I started using Hollowing
Not Archstorm? 😔 The rune of the erst storm, the root of all rain?
I mean I used it a whole lot before
Find it weird they changed it from Voltaic damage to Arcanic.
Let the erst flow through you! Become its root!
-# You could make a religion out of this.
gotta be my favorite weapon description
The description lies within yourself.
It is up to you to define what you wield.
Or something like that idfk.
question:
what are the tutorial like in soulframe? for stuff like combat, smite, spectral sight etc
im thinking of a cool narrative addition for em
I'd say... Not really there, the game sorta doesn't mention the buttons you're meant to press most of the times.
theres a pretty long tutorial quest, and orlick has a bunch of stuff
complete opposite answers lol
good ol orlick the bisexual
now that i think about it, the torment stag does have some pop ups how what to press
but jsut pop ups tho TwT
It does...? I can't remember, I'm sure it hasn't told me how to perform a smite or activate a rune 😅
Once full warsong comes out. It will prolly expand tutorial
I'm sure it's just a pre-alpha thing, yeah.
main jsut for like
spectral sight and the spirit guide
but that basic stuff TwT
I think it showed smite on the Jotar spirit part of Torment stag
"pre-alpha"
looks inside
Closed beta
one of soulfame main themes is well, soul and its restoration
like restoring the soul and history of midrath, or rescuing the souls of alca and discovering their history
but one thing we're also forgettin is the envoy
whats their history?
i think its left vague on purpose
I think we're going open alpha this year, feel it in my bones
its funny, my friend, a game dev, broke down the whole alpha/beta/release thing in a way that i thought was clever
im gonna end up getting a code drop from the streams a week before it opens 😭
we know that they were Midrathian native kidnapped and conscripted by the Ode, then exiled back to midrath, now lre-learning their native roots n stuff
so....what was their conscription an conditioning like? how were they trained as a tempest?
you need a code?
i havent gotten one yet, havent had the chance to watch the streams with work
I wonder if we have the OG slideshows of the whole Juniper acquisition thing in the wiki
i can send you one, i still have an extra
It would be greatly appreciated but you don't have to :)
nice thing about free will, i dont have to do anything 😛
hurry before someone snags it
its probably against DE's rules to buy and sell keys, right?
it is
100%
we see Doyen teachin the envoy how to use magick, so what if as some tutorial cutscene/settings, the envoy remembers flashbacks of their bonding time with doyen and their military training in the ode?
I'm sure a bot immediately snagged it lol
think of like those tutorials in the jedi survival games were they're narritevaly set during the players time as a jedi padawan
maybe, but still try it obviously
I did
it didnt work?
well now idk cause i mightve made a typo but i cant put it in because of this 😭
not ideal
I'll let you know if it ends up working whenever it lets me actually try lmao
👍
Dyou mind sending me that again in DMs so I can double check my spelling
sure, one sec
completely unrelated but your server tag just made me chuckle to myself
Thank you lol
I do imagine the tutorial experience will be vastly improved once the game exits pre-alpha. Idk who said it but I was told that they mentioned we aren't even at the very beginning right now, so there's some stuff that's been skipped that will probably contain a better way of orienting new players.
Warframe has also been making great strides there, so it wouldn't make sense to not apply that here.
Me wanting to purchase the paragon pack but soulframe says "Payment via Bank card is currently unavailable" :(
Sulprim
I do hope they get that stuff sorted before the end of founders.
Some people have been having payment issues from the very launch that still haven't been fixed.
well I was able to buy wyld sirin last month but I can't buy paragon just now
If you buy one of the wylds does it lower the price of paragon for you?
yes it does
Yes, 1:1.
Paragon cost 100 for me, individual packs 30.
If I bought one, Paragon would drop to 70.
And so on.
Though I just got Paragon outright.
Sweet thank yall
Have to mail DE cash directly 🤔
Shooting the Ghost boss in the Crypt of Circade and one shotting it witha gun is such a power move. 😄 I love the new Duello Pact
I'm not even sure that's available.
I think you can get the 3d model in the game files
I hesitate to try to dissect those.
if i had any skill with blender, id just recreate it myself
but alas, i am an idiot
better start learning now so that you can create a soulframe "tennogen" item in the future
Enforge
the thing is, soulframe doesnt have skins, or even weapon customization
not yet
so both of those things would need to exist before DE starts accepting user generated content
all road leads to fashion
I know what i would make if i was doing tennogen stuff for soulframe
A pristine, shining set of paladin's armor, something out of high fantasy
mirror polished stirling silver and gleaming gold rivets
and the helm, something imposing and regal
this sorta thing
and it would be called Regalia
I do hope they add the option to replace your pact arm with the right arm that would be on your armor
bruh don't do this to me
That sword has no tang lmao.
Snaps immediately. Neat-looking though.
ignore the sword and the shield, its the armor
I just feel like we need something to match the regal fey construction of the paragon
Armor of gleaming gold and shining silver
ah so this is where you hide when you're not looking for tioreh mod
to be fair, this is a magically charged world
I mean look at this
honestly, soulframes material physics is pretty tame
Who needs a tang when you have feywilds magick lmao
Eh, the presence of magick shouldn't nullify even basic realism.
The two are unrelated.
sure, we've got the occasional trick weapon or inexplicable mechanism, but most of the weapons are actually pretty solid in build
No but it mostly does in fantasy settings xD
