you mean patch leather?, drop from multiple sources, but personally i farmed it from crates and barrels, and i did that in the village in front of fort curlail and relog after getting all of them, and there’s a bunch of them stacked in front of of rose enclave, you can easily farm them with an AOE ability and then enter and exit from the enclave to respawn them, it rng though it may take a run or three to see it drop

You can watch a Soulframe twitch stream and get a code as a twitch drop; you could wait for one to land in your email via random weekly lottery; there are also a few places where people share spare codes (though I personally don't know where to point you for that)

Just make sure to both have an account and link that account to your twitch.

I've noticed something strange with The Erstroot. I have a Feybalt: Thrice Blessed by Iridis on it and unlike other 5-pip Spirit gear it has a golden pip. But it doesn't have 5-pip scaling. Instead of 2.5, it gives about 2.8 damage per pip.

One thing to consider during all of this is that charged attacks and perfect throws have their own higher cap.

So though number do not go up on weapon info, number will still go up.

That's been true since I joined at least, probably way before considering that was just P10.

That was why Orengall's old way stronger Courage boost worked so well with daggers and bows.

Considering all you did with one was charged shots and the other perfect throws.

Attunement gives you 0.5 damage per pip, times your Virtue.
Rivt-II has 3 pips, so 1.5 damage per virtue.
Attunement can only go up to +1.5x base damage and Rivt-II has 26 base damage.
This means it can only obtain 39 extra damage from attunement, which can be achieved at 26 Grace (26*1.5=39).
No matter how much more attunement you give it, there will be no change in damage above 26 Grace.

Using a bow with an effective like, 60+ Courage was a fun time, though probably still not as strong as current max grace builds.

I do wonder how they're gonna address that limit in scaling going forward tbh.

It seems to me, based on conversations in devstreams, that there's a lot of uncertainty and experimenting regarding travel. We're getting mounts at some point, for instance, but with such a small map -- someone timed it at 7.5 minutes to go from north to south I think ? -- there's some questions about like... will mounts trivialize the travel and over-optimize things? How does the current fast travel system work when mounts are an option? etc.

I imagine there will be a lot of back and forth on it as Preludes continues and these systems release and evolve

I imagine that the factions may stay the same, but there will be variants -- like, Aureli Sinecure may be different than Midrathian Sinecure, due to the different requirements of occupying Aurel than Midrath, for instance.

That said, Mendicants in particular at least seem like they're kind of Midrath-specific. But I suppose you can have the same sort of ichor-undead that aren't specifically The Dead Army Of Curlail From That One Specific Battle.

I guess there's no upper limit on enemy factions, I'm just not sure how many more will be appropriate.

History motes don't always spawn, and rarely do all the motes you need at once spawn. Come back later and look around. The only mechanical benefit is mastery so there's no real rush to get them ASAP. Granted, the motes can be.... weirdly placed and hard to find

i, again, have to come back to the stargate analogy. Much like the gua'uld, ode may (in principle) know about accelerating soft heavy pellets really fast, but in practice they are dealing with feudal societies that they control via terror theatre, so they themselves have no use for the guns in their doctrine. They make weapons of terror, not weapons of war. The point of their contraptions isn't to kill a lot of enemies really easy and really fast, it's to subjugate technologically suppressed balcanized populace. That being said, i am looking forward to us not being burdened by that constraint
