The consecutive hit buffs (especially Tethren's first ability) are also super broken... All the way up to like level 100+ Cogah bosses, you can just active Tethren 1st ability, tap the boss 3 times, then destroy them with a 10k rune strike, because of the silly consecutive damage increase xD

That's one of the reasons I love sword n' shield... It makes sense that you can deal more damage when swining your sword two handed... However, throwing your shield also means your really expectable to Stagger, where as blocking while holding the shield barely moves the stagger bar 🙂

Sounds like the process may not have finished or shutdown properly. You could try checking your Task Manager if it's still running in the background. Or just restart your PC to shut down everything and try again 🙂

Depending on the weapon you might also need to get a new prism to be able to use its stat scaling, those can be gotten from factions.

Weapons define a lot of your playstyle, but not your abilities, which are defined by pacts. You can use any weapon with any pact.

You'll need to do the Steelsinger fable in order to be able to craft items. Get fragments and she'll tell you what's required to craft the stuff. Get the ingrediants to craft the stuff, and craft. After you claim it, you can swap gear in the back of the tent, at your arsenal.

To get better weapons and armour, you'd need fragments from killing bosses you find around the world, or from doing faction tales. You'll then need to craft them at the blacksmith.

But for a new staff specifically, you'd have a couple options: Seathorn fragments can be gotten from 3 Star faction tales, Erstroot from killing a Wizard boss in the SE of the map, and Silistafv from conquering the northermost castle

That's a job for the wiki. DE changes drops for stuff sometimes. And many of us who already have said stuff built tend to not keep up with what drops from where anymore.

It depends on the item! Some come from enemies, some from chests, some from fables, etc. There isn't any kind of full list in the game itself of where to find things, but as you 'scan' enemies into your journal, their loot will begin to appear under their entries. But if there's a specific item you're looking for you can always just find it on the wiki and it will list where it drops

The easiest would probably be from the Wizard boss, but fair warning you fo need to have completed some quests to get him to spawn

He does cast magick projectiles though so if you have the magic parry perk unlocked you can have a cool feeling wizard duel!

It depends, some weapons have kind of 'magical effects' to them (especially magick weapons)

Your Pact is your arm, and your weapons are your weapons - they're entirely separate pieces of gear and are unrelated (except for the fact that they each scale off the same base stats known as Virtues, which is its own issue when it comes to balancing requirements vs. scaling your arcanics)

The Pensieve set is quite good for Spirit builds and is fairly easy to get by following Orlick's little tutorial storyline

I like it thematically, it's really cool to have some permanent reward from your dialogue choices, but at the same time whilst virtues are such a tricky thing to balance with all the gear requirements, it almost feels misplaced for now

which is no huge problem, we're still in pre-alpha after all, and as we get higher mastery ranks it will maybe become easier to hit requirements whilst still scaling the arcanics you like at the same time (unless gear requirements increase massively too!)

tying higher reqs to specific upgrades maybe? i know the game i keep mentionning does that, where the base requirement for armors or spirits are low, but getting some improvements then raise reqs. i'd need to boot it up for the specifics, but iirc, armor had 3 upgrades, little defense boost that barely increased req, a fair boost but that would increase weight, and a big boost with no downside, but requires very high stats

Yes. After you complete the Waste Bear Fable, the tree bromius gives you is in your nightfold, near Verminia's sign. You can use the seeds you harvest from it (1-3, resets every 12 hours) by selecting and holding on any world tree you've unlocked.

You can also fast-travel to the area near the faction enclaves by using the music emote in nightfold, then exiting the menu that comes up.

I don't think so. Rostrum is a primary melee shortblade. It's in the same ballpark of damage range as Grinn (minimally weaker), Cobladh (stronger), Virdigris (stronger), and Witan (stronger), which are all secondaries.

I've been able to output pretty similar damage so far when using either. As long as I am equally invested. Mainly just seems to be a case of having options.

I am sure over time they will diverge a bit. In the same way primary and secondaries diverged in warframe. Just hopefully not as drastic as that was. Where now secondaries are weirdly more supported than primaries.

Can confirm there's no chance in it too. Before starting the fable, I manually trekked to all 8 shipwrecks without interacting with them, and all except Bracken had a ribbon

Also which specific shipwrecks did you check? There are 8 total shipwrecks for the duelos, and specifically 7 applicable shipwrecks which spawn duelo ribbons to begin the fable. You can cross reference against the shipwrecks listed on the https://wiki.avakot.org/Shipwrecks page if it helps (sorry we don't have screenshots for these yet but they'll be coming soon!):

So, my assumption is that the ghost ship is specifically the Blue Ribbon - the one crewed by Carmo's old crew, that pulls up in the third duelo to attack us.

This means that the ship we get transported onto, is maybe one of Carmo's own many ships, that she repeatedly sailed on to challenge the Mestre again and again - right? Or is it possible that both ships in that final duel were the Blue Ribbon, since it can already exist in multiple places at once?

And if that ghost ship is the Blue Ribbon, I'm hoping we can someday board it again to fight the crew once more, because that was a fun fight and it's a shame it only happens once then never again hahah

you never get to do that though no matter how many other shipwrecks you farm post-fable, it's always the dialogue (as you say) of the first duelo, with the style of duelos 1-2, except with the navalha
