There is a code available, but each gem has a symbol on it, and you only know what that symbol means from something circade leaves behind on death iirc? And each player only gets one at random.

And the one you get is going to always be the one you get every time, each player just gets one.

Logic states that you'd need at least 7 other people to solve it, assuming everyone gets a unique roll and you use process of elimation for the last symbol.

So yeah, it's better to just look it up at this point, lol.

Atm the best way is probably just to ask in here (Gameplay Discussion) and see what the consensus is. You will get varying opinions as a lot of people are very...passionately partial to what they like haha, and aren't always unbiased about what's objectively "better." In the end, there's only a few options that are the "best" anyways, but most things are perfectly viable.
