Yeah if you add a ton of courage you can basically ignore the grace part. There's a cap to how much scaling damage a weapon can receive and its pretty easy to blow past that with a lot of pips

Joineries will improve a weapon's Virtue scaling, which one you add depends on which kind of build you're going to use the weapon in.

If a weapon has 2 pips of Grace and you add a Thrice Blessed by Saphene it'll go to 5 pips (which is scaling cap) meaning for every 1 point of Grace you have you'll gain 2.5 damage on the weapon (up until scaling cap, which is 1.5 times base damage)

But maybe you want to go more into a Courage build for your Pact or armor choice, so Blessing by Mora will mean you're getting 1 damage per Grace point (since it's at 2 pips) and 1.5 per Courage point (since it's at 3) as long as you meet the weapon's base Virtue requirement

Yeah Avex is pretty cool. Greatbow could be a fun grip type to have. In one design philosophy, Avex staying with the Bows could be interesting since it adds some dynamic playstyle to the Bows. On the other hand, separating out every playstyle into their own grip type by moving Avex into "Greatbows" could also be neat

Things that might help?

• You can sell weapons after you finish mastering them, like Wulder or Nettle or Precklies, since those are pretty much useless after they're mastered.
• when you smith weapons, you can just leave them all completed in your forge instead of picking them up. your "completed" tab in your smithy can be like a second inventory

6 weapon slots is still too few, I feel you, but that helps alleviate the sting a little bit

No, this is just a bug, not a conscious choice with a way of turning it off.

It's triggered by using your first and second ability, though the third fixes it for some reason.

Unless you have to, I'd recommend not using Mora's Hand for now, as the bug is very consistent.

Frustrating, as that's my go-to pact for leveling weapons cus it doesn't rely on them to do damage.

Yes. Every basic rune, the ones that just make you hit harder, are still very good. Because they, well, make you hit harder, very hard, almost quadrupling damage when maxed.

Everflame will also ignite enemies, and the burn damage is not entirely insignificant, I've seen it put in some work.

Even if the Longblade cogah rune is arguably better, I still use the flame one cus it gives a second attack slot for totems.

And doubling down on attack totems is still a pretty substantial advantage.

The attack speed totem is very noticeable, and combining it with either armor reduction or AoE damage is very good.

It's 6 hours. The collector is them testing wandering global events, its position changes on a set schedule instead of a personal timer like agari and sieges, and its position is always the same for everyone.

Calling it out can be helpful, as it's actually a pretty good farm, drops a bunch of random stuff in good amounts.

So long as you keep all the metal crates on the ground at least.

It does come from pretty high up. I do remember hearing it once or twice as it spawned and not being able to see it, then realizing that was because it was currently descending through the clouds and just coming into view.

You'd just have to be near enough to where it's resetting to.

I think the sound cue is for it spawning in. So, it's possible that it just spawns above the clouds like that.

I downloaded it and opened it precisely once to check what I was missing for MR.

Turns out Clivers and Seathorn, which I had forgotten even existed.

I've since leveled them and once again sit at the MR cap, so I haven't found need to launch it again.

If Agari had the old 3 hour timer, I could see myself using it to check CDs, but with half an hour it isn't needed.

If I kill them and then leave to go do something else, that'll pretty much always be enough time for them to spawn again.

Clear a siege? They're there again. Make a sandwich? There again. Check my phone? Probably there again.

Still usable, if a bit overly nerfed. It has good tank skills but no boss utility, as the one thing it does well has a special boss interaction where it just turns off and does nothing, which is a bit weird. Its damage skill also has a very weird hitbox and is bad at consistently doing damage, as well as doing almost literally nothing to bosses via another special interaction that weakens it.

So, against mooks, you're pretty tanky. It just... doesn't achieve much else right now.

Certainly one of the weaker pacts right now, down there with Sirin.

Both from just not doing a lot well and having inconsistent function.

doesn't feel like that either because balancing is bad, you either ultra op or ultra bad + a ton of cheesing. Currently the way it is meant it feels more like a power fantasy lacking the enemies , but still you are broken op after a short while and i do not mind that but there is no balance allowing you to be in between very op or very bad from what i have seen

i didn't reforge any weapons, i use the default weapons at max level and with arts spent and still smash easily at max level and not so easily at low level (weapon mastery i mean no effective enemy level)

• a ton of cheesing and way too much farming to get faction xp like unbelievably much for way too little and mostly running around 10-20 minutes and fighting 2 minutes for like 500-2500 standing

if they wish to go the methodical route they should probably change a lot, no idea what but they should, but for me currently it feels like a boring power fantasy. And the way they made the story and you being pretty much omnipotent forever existing being cast down from the heavens of ODE or whatever i dunno

for me personally it just feels like tey are not sure what they want to do and mixed what you said about exploration or combat whatever with warfame which is very noticeable, right now this game feels like cetus open world from warframe but with extra enemy variety and diff combat system but unrewarding and i dunno how to put it but not like the rpgs i am used with maybe? Dungeon hunter 4 on android before they decomissioned it was the best rpg i had ever played , story, combat, characters, rewarding exploration, variety, procedural exploration big lore etc. The witcher for example too + others, where combat is more methodical, exploration is rewarding and i don't feel like playing a walking simulator

right now oselda because i was doing high level + arena , but otherwise really i've tried bromius and duelo and the wolf one while leveling. Wolf is good only because of second ability and maybe 3rd but the 1st one is useless, bromius tank passive and nothing else, duelo is like a free ranged attack every few seconds + i keep magnetizing to my own clone when attacking cause it sees it as an enemy or whatever. Now i will do tethren then sirin

but even so i use pact abilities just when fighting bosses because i love the grunt fights xd

You have a lot of detailed thoughts on the combat system, and if you could put some of it to writing (for example describing what specifically feels like jank and how you'd adjust it to meet your expectations - an animation change? a hitbox change? etc) then that might be really useful feedback for the devs, especially since it's still in pre-alpha where everything is early and can change.
