Kinetic summons cost (300 gems) is not sustainable for f2p players. 24k to guarantee a copy is far too much. I suggest making the cost of kinetic summons 100 gems for AT LEAST your first copy. This will let f2p players at least get their copy while still letting you make money from spenders for dupes. There should also be more free kinetic summons available from shops, events, etc. F2P get their copy and spenders save some money on their copy.

Not only it isn't sustainable, now most players can't refresh stamina anymore to save for kinetics. So, getting good shells and modules (that was hard enough already) is way harder now.

OP's idea is actually surprisingly good and somewhat fair, but this is the most important point imo
if XD decides to alternate between LD+RGB and Kinetic+RGB then they will simply lose all the goodwill they gathered from the positive new season update (or what's left of it before the Kinetic cost disappointment)...

I've seen a lot of people actually coming back to the game with the returning and new player bonus + good latest updates, the game is FINALLY looking like it's improving, the only thing making people pissed (besides the meta, arguably) is the cost of Kinetic and the potential LD into Kinetic subsequent banners.

i was thinking of exchanging 3 rgb summons to 1 kinetic since its already priced at 300 gems.

idk if the kinetic units falls on the same rate as rgb in permanent summon so using rgb summon to exchange into kinetic make sense

The only thing that keeps the game running is how easy it is to get new characters.
Easy to get, hard to build works, but hard to get and hard to build...idk.

This change would just go against what they wanted to do with Kinetic Characters, which was depleting the gems most players had. As of right now, as a F2P, if you did not get LD dupes, you should be able to guarantee the current and following LD character without using gems. That means, for our next Kinetic character, we can put our gems towards that.

Now assuming you emptied your reserves for Kethos before the RTA shop reset , you would be on track to getting 30-40 kinetic summons by the assumed 2nd kinetic banner after this LD. This leads to a 15, 000 gem sink for the next kinetic. As some people might have seen, during the past month, you've already gained upwards of 10, 000 gems.

What does this mean?

  • If XD puts in at least 15 kinetic summons somewhere (5 union shop, 5 weekly pack, and 5 in events), we'll be fine in terms of getting Kinetic characters. This only gets better if you're lucky, like with all summon tickets.
  • The biggest concern with this summon is the frequency. If Kinetic banners are never back to back and never at the same time with the LD banner, the above will hold true and then cost change would be amazing zf_hahaha

Maybe we can farm the crystals for every kinetic banner, but to do so you have to stop refreshing, spending crystals on events or buying the 3k lattice from the shop.

We used to have 4-5 new units every season, now we get 6. To me that's the biggest problem. I won't have a lattice to spare in old characters anytime soon.

Also we have awaked now. So I have to build even more units with less refreshes / resources.

Oh, you're talking about the gem lattice with the banners. Well, let's assume we do get 10k gems per month as noted last month. Coming into the kinetic banner, we'd have 20k gems: -15k gems (worse case scenario) for the Kinetic character and -3k for the lattice. That leaves us with 2k gems to spend on events/2x. If we get the 15 kinetic summons, you can add another 9k gems to the 2k we had left -> Leaving us with 11k gems to spend.

Story becomes different if you're trying to build both characters on each banner, but if you do that, you were never one to worry about gems in the first place.

Would be even cool if for kinetic summons you can convert rgb tickets into kinetic since in the end they are just rgb units but stronger

Or... Hear me out...... Since kinetic are RGB but shiny..... Just make them cost 3 purple tickets instead of having a whole new unobtainable currency
