#Khloros boss got buffed? Drastic difference compared to yesterday

This happened to me before with another boss, and now it is the new boss. I was able to very consistently clear it with a 95%+ win rate just yesterday (September 12). But today, my win rate is maybe around 10-15% with the same preset. I have only one preset with Plume, the gear on all characters are the same, continuous battle settings are correct (prioritizing boss), and I even manually select boss to make sure they're hitting the right thing. And yet, win rate is still terrible today.

I think I have a recording of my previous clear, or one of my first clears after the release of the boss. What I am noticing is that the boss hits WAY harder now, compared to yesterday. Basically kills my characters, hence win rate goes down by a lot.

I seriously suspect this is either a bug, or a shadow buff (like how another person posted about Rengo Inferno). The RNG cannot be consistently crazy like this, and with such a drastic difference. There's something wrong.

What I noticed is that I couldn't even replay some of the previous fights in United Front from a day ago - it is the very same UF. It simply said "version mismatch". Did the balance on the server change? It feels like this is proof that something is going on.

It isn't really fun if the difficulty/stats are literally changing from the server side randomly. It should at least stay consistent between the patches. And if it cannot, ALL changes should be transparently communicated to the players. And if this is not intended, please look into this.

It is crazy how big the difference is. Very demotivating. The RNG of the drops are already very bad to begin with, and now this.

i felt little difference today too i clear it with 7/1 8/0 but today some runs became 2/6 4/4
i didn't py attention to it much tho i tghout mybe crazy rng, checked my team gear and everthing was the same i deaal same dmg but didn't really look if he is hitting harder

Idk there was a lot of litter updates recently. And this company isn't really known for clearly noting what each one does. You may be right or it could just be shit RNG finally catching up to u

I think if you have a sufficiently strong team and it doesn't rely on finishing right before the boss takes its nth turn / powerful move / etc, then you may not feel it much. But for those of us that have teams that work within a specific frame like that (not exactly speedtuned, but finishes before things happen in the battle), it gets thrown out of balance even when nothing was changed. There's literally a single day difference in my case, and I certainly didn't do any changes. It was a very high win rate because the boss didn't damage me much at all. I especially took note of this because I was expecting this boss battle to be harder. Perhaps the devs also thought that - and it was buffed. But were the changes communicated? I didn't see anything. I will dig my recordings and do a new recording and you can see the difference.

3 important question:

  1. Did you happen to imprint your shell into a supposedly better one? cause then your preset is null

  2. Did you upgrade your shell speed passive? cause then your rotation might be broken

  3. Did you accidentally do your phantom theatre or infinity train run while you were farming? Different loadout might've screwed you over

I gotta admit, checking my recording, I noticed a difference that was not saved to the preset. So that's definitely on me.

But the reason I posted this was because I had a similar experience for a long time with Terrormaton before. And I actually never solved it. None of my presets were working from before, and I investigated a lot, and checked many things. And that was a deliberate speedtuned team. Going from 95% win rate to 5% was rough. I just let it be, and skipped farming it altogether. I didn't make a post about it. I actually only now fixed it with the help of Plume (changed my setup entirely). I can finally farm it again after more than a month or so.

When I saw this happen again now with Khloros I decided to make a report quickly. This was right after a similar incident with Cage Rumble happened: My score was suddenly much lower, and within the same Cage Rumble event to boot. It was not between patches. I didn't understand what was going on (yet again), and people also told me they didn't see a difference themselves - but there really was something. They had randomly decided to change the battle speed mid-patch (and the timer was actually based on playback speed, who could have guessed - but nevermind that), and the scores were suddenly much lower.

These things really pushed me to be suspicious of every little change now, which is why I am recording these battles (what a weird thing to do, hah)

Anyway, I can report that my win rate is better now after fixing the error on my end. I'll be doing more testing tomorrow.

really havent heard of anything like this caused by the game... usually is some random player error or change
