#New shell stage has highlighted the issues with shell farming even more

Shell grind is the biggest source of burnout for most players

All of the new shells look so interesting, and all have their use cases that I'd love to try them out in.

However, there is no way to know when I'll finally get a usable matrix setup to try out the new shells with. I've been farming the new shell stage non-stop and still have zero usable drops. And who knows how long I'll have to farm until I get to try even ONE of the new shells out. Then you add in the pain of going through the 2nd layer of passive rerolling rng, and it creates a nasty cycle of shell burnout. In addition to the horrible rng fest that is shell farming, we can only ever farm shells outside of 2x, otherwise it feels like you're wasting your time.

The announcement of the new shell dungeon was very exciting at first, but then I realized it's just like every new animus release. You're not going to have the resources to build them, you're going to have to max refresh and grind for who knows how long, and for what? Rewards from the RTA shop that reset every three weeks? To play 10 matches in fearless arena one day a week for 1 hour? For only one United Front war a week, where you can full clear the enemy fort, tie, and then both lose the war?

There are way too many fake "rewards" in the game. Devs do not understand the value of the currencies in the game

Even if a new shell gets introduced that woudly directly counter the current meta and address and fix all of the concerns of the PvP meta, it could take weeks or even months for you to finally build even one of the shells you need from the new shell dungeon. Also you have to stop farming the other dungeons for the shells you've been chasing since launch!!! I've been farming hoyan for god knows how long and I still don't have the Fury, Furyedge, Momentum revelation that I've been looking for.

And then....there's reconfig chips. Oh god reconfig chips. You have these abysmally low conversion rates from all the shops, offering you things like 450 RTA currency for a single passive reroll. Shell exp and reconfig chips are dropped in such low quantities from shops, and it feels terrible. Battlepass drops you 4 chips. Hyperlink charter drops you TWO CHIPS. Like wtf XD. You either way too many reconfig chips in the early game, and shell exp is the bottleneck, or you have way too much shell exp and reconfig chips are the bottleneck in the late game. I'll forever be at tens of millions of shell exp and 0 chips.

some of these rewards just feel like a lack of care or straight up negligence. I don't think anybody would care about this stuff if the game was in a good place rn, but it's not so these other spit in the face rewards feel even worse

who in their right mind would ever buy 5x reconfig chips for 150 RTA currency

And doing the ascension of fodder shells method to convert data into chips helps but it wastes so much time

from the premium battlepass, you can reroll a passive twice, upgrade one module, and build 1/5 of a shell frogjuice

I understand being stingy with lattices to some degree, but wtf is up with the coin, shell exp, exp books, and reconfig chips rewards. They're so meaningless. Anything less than 500,000-1,000,000 coin / exp means absolutely nothing in this game. Anything less than 200 reconfig chips means nothing.

There's a clear lack of understanding from the devs I believe

I pointed this out when I saw the new boss and shells. They are still dead silence about the chip disparity and we still have the 3/3/3 module problem that could take between 1 run or 1 million runs on the dungeon for you to get a desired one because adding pitty systems would turn this marathon into a sprint in the Dev's heads

I've been farming for chips for 2 weeks just to get a red speed on 1 of my codex Im still missing so many shell combinations that are just pure meta and let's not talk about the ones I have ideas for and I'd like to test but I simply can't, not only my characters are weaker cuz I have no lattice I can't even have fun with the game trying stuff out cuz I get gatted by shell rng

They don't need to provide better rewards, because they know you will buy it simply because of the lattice at the end. Their entire monetization is tied to lattice, and their entire player playtime statistics for the app stores are shell farming stages. So they can't touch those two things because those are the things keeping the game on life support.

I do agree on the way the dev doing VALUATION of items is way off from common sense. including to everything they sell for real money.

but in this Shell topic, I just accept the fate simply because everyone is having the same problem. so same same anyway. unless the dev will give returning player Shell selector to catch up LOL.

Imagine it a rta/competitive game but people cant even start to do it cause they have no shell to make a full set or chip to roll for red passive many people farming more than a month and get nothing like me i complain in feedback like 2-3time now about this. People said it a marathon game at least marathon have a finish point but not this we want to enjoy the game now not in the next 2-3 month.this problem make some of my whale/dolphin friend quit the game cause they not lucky enough to get the shell to compete in the high rank

hey, everyone can start to do RTA. no one is stopping. the stopper is only the mindset where you need to be fully equipped to the best set to do so.
just think that if you have that problem, so does other player. so everyone is on the equal playing fields.
I agree it is not ideal situation that most player wants, but it is the battle of "unready" players. until with times goes by, the gap between players that can make themself ready and stuck is more obvious.
the RTA battle starts from the module and shell farming, not after 🙂

and btw this type of marathon game is designed to NOT have a finish point. because if there is, player will stop playing once they finish.

I get the point you are saying but as the above people said it can be1 or 1 mil run to get the shell and we cant try to play around with the shell/unit/team cause it not drop in the first place and new shell come out when the old one not even drop. The one that get to enjoy is the luckyone you should see the point of people who refresh10/10 everyday for 1-2 month and not get any useful shell and all the training chip we get cant roll for the red we want. Dev should do something about this at least make us use some currency to roll for shell matrix set or have guarantee 3 matrix set when farming and it the fact that it can burnout and disheartened people to play day by day. Im pretty sure the shell and economy in game is one of the problem that make people quit if u can see many people already quit the game at this rate the game not gonna open that long.
