I have all these characters + shadow Sania and all the SR’s. I have a good amount of resources but my best built unit is by far massiah at the moment so ideally I’d want to build a team around him but I’m not really sure what supports are good with him/is it worth doubling up on DPS etc?

DPS needs to be invested via skill ups, modules, and shells. They're very stat hungry, meaning they'll need high stats such as ATK and Crit to perform.
That being said, doubling down on a DPS is generally not a good idea. You'll need to invest on supports too, such as Beyontin, Holden, Lingluo, and many more.
I'd say that your Massiah team is complete, since I'm assuming that you don't have Lily
Try to build a DoT team using SSania. DoT is used for a lot of end-game content.
