#Red Guild Boss Burn Doesn't Reduce Stack Count Correctly

ya I was just about to make a post, the burn does not seem to always decrease, happens the most frequent on lingluo but I notice it happend to my Kloss on rare occasions
I find it weird that nothing in this game ever communicates to us that shields block debuffs
or at least that they block burn and dot
it massively changes the strategy for this boss when you know that but nothing tells us about it

also it used to not apply if you had shield but now it does, not sure if it was bugged before or bugged now but 🤷♀️

That's because your unit is too slow... the more you play the more the stack deacrease.
Please use slow and atk- and strip the atk buff from the the boss (viper is great choice for this), and perma buff your speed 🙂

||Was for the Original poster, your team is well set up no issue but things could go wrong quite quickly on this boss (like no strip on boss or no break atk)
In your team the issue is the boss with 5 stack of additionnal 50% dmg (so 250%)

I'm surprised this isn't getting way more attention than it is right now. Even 2 weeks ago, when this boss was on Phase 2, the stacks were behaving inconsistently.
Now that he's on Phase 3, the issues are becoming all the more egregious.
From the looks of it, and this is by no means concrete evidence, it seems to me that the reduction of the stacks is coded like the application of debuffs, meaning that your Effect RES influences the chance of reducing the stacks, which would be hilarious if it's true.
The burn stacks ticking being coded as an attack in some way or another is proven by the fact that Viper sometimes uses his counterattack upon an ally simply taking a turn.
They don't reduce Chiaki's Origami Guardian stacks though, so it has to be some kind of special case.
Most of the time I'm observing the stacks just staying the same after taking a turn, it happens to be on my healer, who also happens to be on high Effect RES gear.
I switched to Chiaki for healing because I initially thought that it was an issue with just Lingluo's immunity, but since my healer gear has over 140% Effect RES, my Chiaki was experiencing the exact same thing as Lingluo - no reduction in stacks for the majority of turns.
Now, swapping over my healer gear to somebody else and reducing my healer's Effect RES down to a minimum, I immediately noticed the shift over to my new unit with high RES, while my healer's stacks are now behaving (more or less) correctly. They only bug out occasionally.
Either way, this is a major issue that has been going on for at least the previous time the boss was in Anchor Recon. The whole mechanic of this boss is taking at least 3 turns with everyone before he reapplies his stacks, but this bug not only heavily increases damage taken by the whole team, it also drastically (and randomly) increases the required amount of turns you need to take, for absolutely no reason.
Succesfully screen My lingluo that resist the burn -2 turn effect...
