I came across this first when I made the jump from hell phantom theater to inferno phantom theater. The rewards were practically the same but you could clear less so overall you had less overall rewards for getting to a higher difficulty.
Fast track to today, I go to rengoku hell, im averaging about 11k training data mats per run. My friend sends me a screenshot of his 10 runs in NicoNana Inferno with a lower amount of total training data materials (about 10k per run of training data). I fail to see the logic when you should be rewarded for getting to a higher difficulty? I won't mention the fact that I also got more red shells than him, that's pretty RnG, but training data has more of a fixed rate and lower variance.
Could the game have more of a linear progression? Let me know what you guys think.
