But codex definitely affected turn 1 players more, more of them were using codex AND they had codex on more of their units compared to turn 2 players. Argument as to why this is the case below.

Perhaps u used codex a lot as a turn 2 player (but surely u weren't using it on the healers you were drafting right and healers already take up half the draft), but u may not represent every other turn 2 player. I could go to the summit arena leader boards and see that half the bruiser drafts are healers as well, which are highly unlikely to be using codex

On the other hand, turn 1 players had to either go jackal or codex on all their units except dps. And with shells like amber, cooldown increase does matter for turn 1 as matches are extended.

In the first place, they nerfed codex as a response to "cc was too op". So naturally the effect of codex nerf was largely to affect cc.

I mean because t2 is more dependent on unit cooldowns, an extra cooldown is a huge detriment vs t1.

Also more people have been shifting to more aggressive bruiser drafts. Drafting a ton if healers without proper cycling/damage immediately loses bruiser mirror. It only kinda works against solo damage cleave. Most of the bruiser drafts i face are double tempo, heal/cleanse then cc + damage. Lilith, celince, nahor, bruiser heinrichs, borgnes are much more popular now

sometimes i run triple healer when i see single bruiser dps that i can xiada it, but kokardi damage and cycling teams makes it hard to turtle trip heal
