I think the devs wanted everything in their game which is wrong.

You either have a competitive PvP game or a PvE focused game, you can't have both coz that'll take a huge toll on the players who wants to stay competitive, only 1 game I know that pulled it off ONLY during it's peak years which is world of warcraft, it was PvE focused game with world most famous eSports during 2008-2012, and you have to be a complete no lifer to do a full dive in both PvP and PvE in WoW
