• there's not been enough time for 'low rune quality farming team guide 100% clear rate' stuff to come out yet
• there's the business logic, it sucks to say but player retention when put on a gear treadmill where you just farm endlessly for upgrades is hella strong anyways, and i think they wanted to avoid everyone accelerating too fast and not having anything to farm for
• they just don't realize how much they change the game
