For everyone who struggles to keep a steady framerate in the game I would recommend using the OpenVR-FSR-App as it could improve up to 40% or higher. Don't know if I can vouch for external programs in this server but this is the only solution so far that works great.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Download the app https://github.com/tappi287/openvr_fsr_app
- Open it and select GERONIMO
- Click VrPerfKit plugin - I would recommend Inner Radius and Mid radius set to .65 and .80 for universal headroom.
- Scroll down to upscaling, Select on in the Enabled tab, Set method to FSR, and just trouble shoot or google/AI to find out your best render scale and sharpness percentage.
--- For people who aren't familiar with upscaling it wont work if you set the render scale and sharpens to the same percentage. A lower render scale means FSR has to upscale the image more, while a higher render scale means less upscaling is needed and the image is usually sharper. The sharpness setting only controls the amount of sharpening applied after upscaling; it does not control how much the image is upscaled.
-- After you get your settings right you just have to start the game and it will automatically be upscaled.
On an RX 7600 Ryzen 5 5500 4.6 build I went from a fluctuating 90-115 in single player and 60-75 in multiplayer on all low settings, to a steady 120 fps medium settings in single player and steady 90 frames in multiplayer.
