#Sub-Par Performance / BAD in Multiplayer

Most people are having issues will OpenXR, Virtual Desktop and Quest blah blah blah

I'm just running the game straight through SteamVR with an Index and the performance has much more to be desired.

I'm decently above the recommended specs and I have to force everything but textures to low, even then I still get occasional stutters and hitching in single player.

Stuttering and frame drops get really bad in multiplayer, its playable most of the time, but occasionally the game will decide to lobotomize you for a few minutes and then go back to normal. I know my system isnt out of this world, but I honestly shouldnt have to be running on cardboard box mode.

I actually was able to mitigate this for the most part by messing with SteamVRs god awful settings for supersampling and got it to the point where I can play with shadows on high now. It just took a lot of fuckery.

Start by launching SteamVR, outside of your headset go to the settings for SteamVR.

#

Should see this, set "Resolution Per Eye" to 100.

#

Then go into Geronimo with your headset on, open the SteamVR overlay inside the headset

#

Go to the per-game video settings for Geronimo from the SteamVR overlay, and there should be another resolution slider in there, set it to the same value.

#

Restart Geronimo & SteamVR, should be smooth as possible.
