I love that the new NVG model looks like a physical object in front of your face. It might just be due to the way VR videos come out, but it looks like they are almost sitting too far away from the face, reducing your FOV through them. The actual GPNVG's have a 97 degree FOV. Most VR headsets have about 100-110 degree FOV, so the large amount of view that is open in the video seems like either you're seeing more than what the player sees, or the goggles are sitting too far from the face.
If the NVG's are going to be physically modelled like this, it makes for some interesting potential options though, especially if you'll have different sets. The PVS-31 for example, can articulate each tube to the side individually, so you could potentially have it where you could swing one tube over if needed, while still having night vision in the other eye.
