If I were in any combat zone I would never rush straight to hand to hand combat the second I lose my gun
If I lose my gun, I look for it. If it gets destroyed, I pick up a new one/use my sidearm

pretty sure that was in reference to the player but an AI smacking you if you try to cuff them for example would make sense
