Days should be proportional to map size. I reckon you should be able to travel across the map in one day. So from one end and back is a 2 day trip, with a small night in the middle. I think the night length is perfect atm

This is a perennial problem with Rust. Many simply skip or make the day long and the night short. I think we just need to make the night brighter and increase the day and night

I think the night is perfect. As a solo player I need time to be able to sneak about or farm or do other things that have a high risk during the day. I did prefer it when it was a lot darker but at least I can see nodes now and farm those as well
