What I've found is that, for many enemies, it can actually be easier to parry on sound, rather than visuals

A lot of attacks have audio cues that tell you exactly when to parry

I can answer this!

The Colors of Lumina you get to give characters an extra lumina point are spent once you use them. However they are practically an infinite resource. Even if you somehow collect every single one you could possibly get in the game, you can get those all again in NG+. As far as we know, there is no cap to how many lumina points characters can aquire, so assuming NG+ keeps carrying over your progress to the next NG+ (like with Fromsoft games and NG+1 NG+2 etc) you can eventually get enough to equip all the things you want on every character

Also the reset item is only for attributes, but you also get so many of them you're not gonna be short if you decide to respec a character, which you'll basically do when you've found a weapon and gimmick you want to work around for your character

answering your question but spoilering just in case ppl wanna figure out some of these things by themselves ||i found that some weapons upgrade naturally by fighting specific mobs so that helps, however, the resources really feel endless ngl, the more i progress and explore, the more i realize there's little need to hoard. i mostly have decision paralysis in regards to what upgrades i should make because i keep finding strong optional bosses that i defeat that give really powerful weapons. there's some bosses though that have specific weaknesses so it's worth upgrading weapons just for those moments tbh||

its also the fact that yea, they're 'new' in the sense that as a studio its their first game. but they are very much professionals with years and years of experience to back them up. some people are trying to make this narrative that a super 'indie' company and indie devs are better than every other dev in existence. i don't understand it at all

they have the connections, the skill and the funding and we shouldn't diminish them just because they're the new guys and lowering them to that. i think its equally as harmful to the devs of the game if people are ignoring that they're also the professionals. the same ones they're trying so hard to bash on

So alot of ppl are yapping about how more games need to do what e33 is doing but they are but either ppl are not paying attention to them, the stories about the dev teams aren’t being shared like this one (in regard to new talent), or the devs/creatives are being crushed by higher ups

I think ppl look at the website for Sandfall and see that and just assume that’s it. My hope is that if ppl appreciate how indies take off like this that they’ll look at more up and coming games that are made by small studios with new talent. major late stage act 2 || i’m currently at the monolith…. the music is incredible. and ever since sophie brought up how the paintress seems sad…. i’ve never been able to get that out of my head. every time i look at her i wonder if she’s caged in her own prison. a prison she might’ve unintentionally created. there’s a sense of a bitter sweetness as i stand here. because that’s what we’ve been working up to all this time, yet something still feels really off about this whole thing. there’s clearly more to it than just “kill the paintress”. and i feel bad having to fight her, as much as the number of gommage passed has brought about so much pain to the world ||
